I always thought a little that Negan spared the women because he found them attractive and considered taking them as wives when he broke them into being Saviors. Took out their men and assumed he'd break them into becoming his. Just an additional to Abraham being unafraid of him and his need to taunt Maggie as he killed Glenn, he took away the couples in the group by killing their men. And we all know how Negan feels about killing or torturing dudes and then taking their girls. Lol I think the only thing that spared Eugene was he was so freaking weakwilled he wasnt worth killing (a mistake in the end) and he saw the effect that killing Abraham had on Rosita aswell. I think he may have assumed that Rosita was with Abraham as a result even
I 100% agree, Negan was for sure going to take one or two of the women, and he even ended up keeping Sasha after her and Rosita's messy attempt at killing him, but I think that a more ruthless Negan is a lot more interesting. I personally am not the biggest fan of his redemption and think it was rushed and poorly written. But in the end, this is a what if and has not much to do with canon. Always thought this would have been more interesting as it would do a few things like make Negan a pure uncut villain, and turn Glenn into an absolute dog, as well as make Rick and Glenn have a giant disagreement and my thoughts as to an ending would be this. It ends the same with Rick saying to save Negan and everything but as ricks driving Negan back to Alexandria glenn crashes into ricks car. By the time Rick wakes up he sees glenn smashing negans head in with Lucile and it ends with Glenn walking away with the bat.
I completely agree, especially considering how little Maggie really does after the lineup, Glenn really had a lot of missed story arcs he could've had, and also that ending actually is really good, you're a good writer
Part 2 has came out! Also, I would like to ask you if I may use parts of your ending in the ending I create. It's alright if not, but I was just wondering because I think it's a fantastic ending and think that it's honestly better then anything I can think of. That's partly true. I do agree that Maggie was pretty uninteresting after the death of Glenn, but a lot of important things wouldn't have happened without her. For example, Rick would've never blown up, so Michonne would have never left, meaning the new spinoff never happens, and plus without Maggie, Negan would practically have no story arcs after season 8, outside of killing Alpha and burning Lucille. @@XyekesWorld To me Maggie's character was ruined somewhere after season 8, she was great and I really enjoyed seeing her on screen. After Glenn's death and the war however, she became insufferable.
