My idea for when your eliminated from this mode is that u should respawn as a bob-omb and have to chase the other players down to get them eliminated too (a great throwback to mk64's battle mode)...
That's a great idea! You could also choose, on the contrary, to respawn as an invisible ghost who drag an item box. Remaining players would just see the box moving, and could try to get it. This is from Mario Kart DS. When you are eliminated during a battle in this game, you become a ghost and you can place items boxes anywhere you want. :P
Fun-Fact on the Golf track: It is from the Wii Sports Series and is a compilation of 3 different holes: Part 1 is Resort Course Hole 5, Part 2 is Classic Course Hole 9 (missing one island on the right) and the last Part is Classic Course Hole 8.
@@Zeraora69 the good tracks in CTGP are on par with the good tracks not in CTGP. they're just so picky that even the slightest lag means a track is rejected.
It already has one, it’s called getting combo’d by a blue shell followed by every single item in the game because everyone is shooting stuff at each other yet it somehow always hits you. Making you quit and think about your life choices before playing again because this game is so awesome.
How to make a MKWii battle royale? Item rain with less items spawning (about 1/3rd?). Whenever you hit an item, you "grab" it, rather than use it/collide with it immediately. No item boxes, so you're forced to scavenge. Other than that, similar to what's here: You race normally, but if you're hit, you're out. Also if you're the last person standing you do not need to finish the race and get first place right tere and then. No Thunder Clouds. No Blue Shells. Pow Blocks and Shocks do not count as a "hit", but will apear and work as always either way. That's my idea...
I think this would be really fun, although there might be some problems with running into items on the ground to grab them. How would you be able to tell if say, a banana on the ground was thrown by another player and will kill you or is something you can grab?
This actually looks like a legitimately fun concept for a game. The items you can get depending on your position makes up for a lot of diverse play-styles and strategies!
My Mario Kart Battle Royal: Everyone can be hit up to 3 times, track design allows for people to drive any direction, no time limit, and people don't respawn when they lose all their balloo- I mean, once youve been hit 3 times you're out. Idk just something I thought of off the top of my head.
There were no BAM! Shock Dodges this video. Shock Dodge drystreak: 4 I'm not a big fan of this. Some things are rather jank in general, including the fact that singleplayer is... kinda broken. I do appreciate the vehicle overhauls, however, and some of the custom tracks need to be considered in CTGP.
If there is a Battle Royal for MKW here are my ideas. Feel free to give your own opinion on my ideas: 1. Linear tracks with a start and a finish (like Mount Wario and Maka Wuhu from Mario Kart 7). 2. Getting hit sends to an area where you void out after 3 seconds and Lakitu recovers you. 3. One respawn point at the start. 4. A player can only get a blue shell if they have not been recovered by Lakitu If the 4 things listed above are implemented: 1. A player in last cannot go backwards and try to eliminate the first place player. 2. Players can still play after being hit and dont have have to sit bored in a box. 3. Players who are hit get sent back to the start and have practically no chance at winning 4. Players who are "eliminated" have no opportunity to eliminate the player in first while players who have not been eliminated can still do so.

Now let's mod The Eliminator from Horizon 4 into MKW. - Huge battle course or something as the map with a constantly shrinking safe zone - Lots of obstacles and no items? - Start with a shitty kart (like 50cc Standard Kart S) - Scavenge the map/course for better karts and stat upgrades - Hit people to start 1v1 races to the center of the safe zone. Loser dies, winner gets their kart or a stat upgrade - Last 10 survivors race to the center of the safe zone. First to get there wins, others are ranked based on how close they were
My idea of a battle royale? Throw in some item rain, remove the lap counter, and you die in an explosion, subsequently becoming a bob-omb that can explode upon hitting the button to use items.
This battle royal is alright the 2 things it needs is to end the game when someone wins or everyone but one eliminated and their needs to be something entertaining when you get eliminated like being a ghost that trys to attack others similar to how you get eliminated in Mario kart ds with multiplayer or n64. It would be nice to also be able to battle in battle tracks.
I feel like an elimination based one where 12th gets eliminated then 11th until there is one rider left. Elimination times could be based on lap length a short course may eliminate every 15-20 seconds after the first lap and a longer lapped course might make it a bit longer. Just design the elimination times so that the winner does 4 ish laps
I think a neat way to handle this might be to make it a balloon battle with the speed values of a race and the use of race tracks instead of battle stages, or make it a mix of race and balloon battle where you can still race to the finish but you're eliminated if you lose all of your balloons. Of course, I have no idea how easy this would be to implement but only one hit seems a bit small of a threshold for being eliminated.
Idea: 12-24 players, three balloons, 10-20 randomly distributed item boxes, each give you enhanced versions of Mario Kart items (5 green shells instead of 3, Golden shroom has exactly 10 uses every time, TC gives a balloon, etc.) ranking is determined by how long they survived, # of kills, and owned balloons. One-way objects like ramps and cannons are two-way, Mushrooms speed boosts turn up your handling to help not lose on sharp turns, and Off-road is minimal, save for maybe shortcuts, although I'm unsure whether or not to include that last one. Race ends when all living players cross the finish line, or when one player remains, minimal of 5 laps, 7 for short tracks, although subject to change in practice (and yes, break drifting of course.)
GAMEPLAY CHANGES 1) Only eliminated if you fall off the track or get hit 3 times (people seem to get elimated *WAY* too quick as it is now) 2) When eliminated, you just go invuln - you can't throw items *OR* get hit by them *BUT* you can knock into people still 3) When the last non-invuln player finishes the race, the race ends. 4) When there is only one non-invuln player remaining, the race ends. SCORING +2 pts - finish lap +6 pts - last eliminated/first to finish race +4 pts - second to finish race +3 pts - third to finish the race +1 pts - finish the race +1 pts - survivor bonus (I imagine this would be the most difficult to mod in) Unsure if this scoring configuration is possible but I think is the optimal way to encourage fast-paced play and discourage griefing.
The best way to make a battle royale on MK, it would be to invert the point giving at the end of the race (so first place gives you 0, and last place gives you 15), and if you get hit, then you instantly finish the race. So the first that gets hit will finish the race and be given 0 points (due to the point award inversion), and same with the next. This would mean that finishing the race will no longer be a viable strat. But at least it makes a strat posible and stable, posibly even for multi
Here we go, Mario Kart Wii BR There is no lap limit. You are eliminated when first place crosses a lap and you are in last place. You can either respawn as a bomb vehicle with max stats in an attempt to effect the race, or quit and join a different BR match. That would be fun. I’d also say that certain maps that are larger than the rest would need to maybe add some arbitrary laps to make sure it doesn’t last too long.
This is less Battle Royale and more Death Race. But imagine a battle Royale with a large open map. With a lot of references to tracks. Or imagine every track combined in some way.
I'd make it so whenever u "die", u respawn as a time trial ghost and can drive around the map without affecting the race - except for ONE thing. You can still hit item boxes, which give you a single blue FIB once per race. When u place it down, it will be visible but won't hurt any kart for the duration of 5 seconds. If a player still alive hits your blue FIB, you respawn at the latest respawn point that player would respawn if they fell off the map, and join back in the race! I think it could be fun to add a comeback mechanic but not make it too broken, and besides if they hit an item they should be eliminated anyway so it doesn't feel cheap. Plus it'll give more incentive to be more engaged in the race after dying once, I'd like to see something like this :)
When you die you should be sent to a mini track to go around while you wait for others to finish, would be nice. Or an invisible exact copy of the track above the normal one to spectate.
I'd really just love a balloon battle race game mode. You get three balloons on a track and you can steal up to three other balloons using mushrooms. Once you lose yours, your character stays where you lost your last balloon and you start spectating other players until the race ends. That's my idea on a mkwii royale.
For me battle royale should be just like battle mode, but ffa and if you die ,you spectate the person that killed you en when the person who killed you dies, you spectate the person that killed him and so on.
If they made an official battle royale. When you get eliminated, it should show 3 options: PLAY AGAIN: joins a soon starting mkwbr room WATCH: spectates(current) 1st place(switch if eliminated) QUIT: go back to live home screen
I think a great way to improve the battle royal is to make a gulag system for the people who got “eliminated” like where you have to shoot a moving target with green shell and then you only have 2 resonance opportunities. Idk just an idea
After you are eliminated you should keep playing as a ghost, people won't get bored and the winner is still whoever gets the furthest before turning into a ghost.
@TWD98 Make it so that the eliminated player's goal is to try and get everyone out before someone wins the race, so they still have something to do. It becomes a "race" between those who are alive to get to the end and the drivers already eliminated to get everyone out. Tension will go up at the end, not down!
Perhaps instead of just putting you in a red void, the game respawns you and you get to just attack other racers (I wonder if it's possible to make it so racers who were eliminated cannot properly complete a lap, forcing them to go backwards and attack other racers?) Other than that, this game mode looks really interesting.
@TWD98: The 2 Cpu left where probebly 1 lap behind that his why it did not finish, when they both cross, Exite bite his a short course and everyone mostly receive mushroom except for the 2 other cpu, that where left so they end up being more likely 1 lap behind, you where just not patient, you just have to wait for the cpu to make 1 more lap
When someone gets eliminated they should turn into a ghost (either partially or fully invisible to active players) and only have access to trap items like fibs and bananas. These players can't win the race but they can disrupt the active players, but only with items that wouldn't be ridiculous. If these ghost players can see each other and can't be hit by items, there would be funny scenarios where 10 ghosts all excessively trap one corner.
Countdown is as close to a battle royals mk needs. I'd like to see a derpy rocket league-esk mode. The map would just be a rectangular zipper, the ball needs daisy circuit cone physics, but a different big-box and skin obviously
You know what I wish this was? A set up where, whenever you pass a CPU, the one at the back would appear at the front of the pack, so that you could see how many "people" you can beat
oh no 7:36 so that's how secluded island got into ctgp that already needs an update cause there is a crevice that um if you fall in to it you can't escape and nor does it count you out of bounds so your screwed if you happen to be caught in that in online
I think you should re spawn as a ghost like in the time time trials but you can control it. And have an option we’re their be like a track that you can ride and parkour around. Or turn into a lakito that throws items around the track.
This is like battle mode with balloons except on a ”normal” course. Btw if anyone sees this, is it known that theres a way to play courses like rainbow road on battle mode, vanilla mkwii, cause i think i just glitched the game yesterday when i did that lol
What if they added a battle mode that was like Gun Game where you had to get a hit with every item to win, and there would be unique items like the Mushroom + Green Shell combo in Countdown or a rotating FIB that you cant throw or something
