This looked really cool, I would love to get a consistent amount of these interactive movies or shows. I'd like to eventually have a series that I can come back to watch every week and season like most TV shows.

I had a lot of fun with this, but its not a serious game for those looking for that. An interactive episode experience and a really awesome one.

Great video. Another reviewer said customers can also play this in the store as a demo, although I’m not sure people want to be in the store casting spells? I know this is a demo of the upcoming technology but is it a game you had to learn to continue to the next challenge? Do you die in here and start over?

This is just a first off experime t with avp lets wait and see what new things come up..i am waiting for avp2 with a m4 or so that has ahedware raytracing would be nuts. And now all the new chips from qualcom vr is going to get even more interesting. Great tome to be alive

This game reminds me of those Playstation launch games foreach generation that were partly tech demos for the new graphics or controller.

META have already sold 20,000,000 Quest Headsets. Apple are *speculating* they'll have sold 400,000 AVP's by the end of 2024. Not sure this was the cleverest move on Marvel's part....

Oh, exclusive to AVP...welp...may as well finish watching the video.

Let me start with i love VR and Marvel, comics and the show What If. At first I saw the trailer was excited than i was extremely disappointed about it being exclusive. So I didn't watch gameplay. Until now. And i have some notes. I started with dislikes/notes/ideas but i assure you if yoh scroll down far enough i do get to things i do like. -Wong, his voice actor sounds off...i dunno for sure but felt different i even watched movie clips and still felt like they were different actors. -Spell sheild looks really bad like a squiggly line! Can barely see the characters in the outer rim of the spell. And to clarify the spell during combat. Some of the animations look amazing but not the combat one...strange (pun intended). I have seen better look sheild spell in War of Wizards. -Cut scenes, i actually don't have a problem with them just more a i wish kinda of thing. What if has a shatter glasses style to represent the different dimensions. The cut scenes have the shape which is good. But i would have like to have seen little fragments and side pieces that still worked and showed just a little more of the scene. Expanding the screen a bit more in a dynamic way and just for side details. It would help it feel less like looking at a box which doesn't look very immersive. Which i know it isn't a box but it's fairly close. This is a minor wish/complaint. Could be fixed/added with a update, but probably unlikely. They do it like at 8:50 all those fragments are the style and shape I'm talking about and just a few like 3 on each side scattered a bit. -Hands so in What If,remember when doctor stange gives everyone magic armor. Well i feel like you should have magic gauntlet and gloves hands in the same what if style. This would look awesome and would make you feel more empowered. It would also make for a fitting place to store the Infinite Stones. -Infinite Stone's should have give you a new ability. And I'm sorry but a purple lazer beam isn't enough or even that creative. Purple is the power stone...Power and all you get is a lazer beam. Disappointing would have expected more oomph. -Each stone should have a ability correlating to it respective stone. You could even give the player green first as a freebie, green being time. I think slowing and or stopping time at higher level/later in the story. It would be be a great story tool to explain how you choose between spells with the time slow down. Etc every color and stone should have ability. -Hand tracking yikes hand tracking cap stat made me laugh. For a ridiculous expensive piece of technology that's a fail. And you have no controllers so you would think the hand tracking would be good. -Portal spell, so Wong is teaching you in chapter 3 and, key word teaching, and does the portal for you...seriously fail. You even say i want to do that i want to make portals. You do get to do one later in chapter 9 but like come on. Should have to do the portal spell yourself to go to the next area. You still get to do one but still would have seemed more immersive and interactive to have the player make the portal. -i know it's more film than game but they didn't do that very well. The game part is lack luster and poor with slow hand tracking. They should have just fleshed it out some more, like with some the ideas i provided earlier. And the film part is just 2D screen and mixed reality cut scenes... not really spatial computing. -2D sceen isn't adjustable in size, I'm surprised you can make it bigger. Or move it around. Not alike a necessity but would have been cool. Spatial computing pfffft. The screen doesn't even have a light glow affect around the trim like on fancy tvs the edges match the colors and sync with what you are watching. Again a little lack luster with the film part considering it's the majority of the experience. -Mixed reality cut scenes not using your personal environment information to adjust positioning. Not to big a deal but also not very impressive for such a boasting headset. You also wish for them to do something with it and i agree. - Everything AVP can do Quest 3 can do better. Hand tracking, boom. Second since Q3 has practically seamless transitioning between controllers and hand tracking you could have two modes, one with controller for more consistency and hand tracking for realism. Giving people who might maybe don't want to hand track or aren't good at it or maybe even a disability preventing the hand tracking from working properly. -[side note/idea] (Special Needs Hand Tracking for VR would be super cool! I hope someone does that some day. Inclusive in gaming is pretty common so it should happen in vr too. Please somebody make it happen one day.) -Q3 controllers would make it easier to assign abilities like in my suggested ideas. -The only real thing the AVP has over Q3 is crisper graphics. I would gladly have a lesser quality graphics experience with good gameplay than a good-looking experience with dry gameplay. That's why retro games hold up because they are actually good games not just something shiny to look at. Graphics over gameplay is always bad. -Q3 graphics are pretty good so the difference would be that big of a deal Especially with the Animated Style. -Q3 the hand tracking segments, arguably the cool part, would actually work. The magic should feel magical not laggy. -Q3 has way more players than AVP. By like a lot...like several thousands vs millions. So major fail. -The WATCHER wouldn't support this exclusivity, nor would his power be so limited. You're trying to tell me a Multi Verse character isn't on Multi platforms....fail apple way to ignore a character. Just make it multi platform please! [Postives, things i liked] +Looks beautiful...i can't even lie it looks so awesome and really crisp. The animated toon style of What If works wonderfully. +Unique story experience! This is a major plus for me. The show did a great job showcasing verity of multi verse storys clearly sparking lots of ideas and verses. Similar to Ironman Man Vr for Q3 did something similar in the sense of taking a story you know and approaching it at a different angle but still hitting the key notes while exploring new ones. Super pleased that it is an original story. +Story! Each one felt like an episode from the show. Giving something your familiar with and giving you a new angle. +Story choice matters and makes for replay ability. Always agood thing to have the players choice to matter. +Magic...it's fun what can I say simple but still magic. +Mixed reality. Seeing the Watcher in your room is awesome and fitting for the character. And Wong too. Cool shattered glass style as well just like the show. +2D screen, nice high quality display, sit back and enjoy some popcorn. Just the right amount of time to convey the story. +Gameplay magic sheild defense and purple lazer beam make for a classic and reliably intuitive combat style of block and shoot. The combo moves are a nice bonus +Chapter select very helpful just a good convenient feature. +plot twist was a pleasant surprise. And the bonus surprise with Loki show reference. +As a marvel fan and a fan of the What If show, and Loki, this is definitely a treat. +Possibility of a sequel very cool +DEADPOOL enough said! *also i disagree with you about watching the the What if show. You say "because every episode from the show is it's own story exploring alternate outcomes of major marvel moments" While this true they do that the episodes aren't just that. They also connect to a larger story. For example the ability to trap your enemies in a magic prism is a reference to the show when dark doctor stange has to keep a Infinite Stones Ultrorn in that magic prism forever as punishment to make up for what he did throughout the episodes. So definitely watch the whole show. Every episode is important. Just wanted to say thank for the full gameplay video!

MIxed reality? such a stretch, its 99.9% VR from where I sit. and with laggy hand tracking, as you mentioned. I want to see what AR AVP brings to the table, this ain't it.

It seems as lame as the TV show. Basic animation, basic render, and now basic MR. what's the point of having a headset that uses the recognition of the playspace if the games doesn't use it to adapt the animation? Cheap experience...

ehhh bad attempt at making a volumetric movie. you come across as a third wheel in this and not the main character or even part of the experience. you're just watching and interacting which is an half *ssed attempt. apple needs to do much better if they want to popularize it. not being able to walk around in the scene is so bad.
