Here's something a bit different. What if a legendary 'Big 4' band Metallica wrote Cirice by Ghost?
Here's my take where I was mainly focused on something like Black Album era, but more periods can be heard. Simplified 90's drumming with typical Lars' sudden fills and cymbals, harmonies, heavy guitars and rough voice (which has more Lemmy than Hetfield lol).
For people that maybe don't know, James Hetfield is a big fan of Ghost. \m/

Bang on! Like either it wasnt thrashy/fast enough for AJFA or, they slowed it down to fit the Black Album. But the sound is definitely Justice

Hey! I was just listening to Ghost's new cover of "Enter Sandman", and someone in the comments said "Now I'd like to hear Metallica cover Cirise", and someone replied to it with a link to your song here, and I have to say, you nailed it. That first "OOOH" is a top notch James voice and this was a treat to listen to!

That, is a brilliant and criminally underrated song! Grinding, nasty, badass riff and I definitely have always heard an eerie Alice in Chains vibe in there. Yes, very good call on that, mate. The vocals have a spooky atmospheric haunting quality to them. That'll be the AIC influence in there. I love too, the talkbox solo from Kirk. Very very cool and creative. Unique. I wish that the band had played it live, its one of my favorites from the whole 90s from them.

This is great, but I honestly think if Metallica wrote Cirice it would likely sound super close to how it already does. What I like most about that song is how much it sounds like something James Hetfield would write. You would really just need to “Lars-ify” the drums to turn it into a Metallica song like Thing or Harvester.
