Mexico was literally in a civil war. The north of the country has suffered greatly, and it ended in 1919. In conclusion, the Mexican army wouldn't have been able to attack the US if it wanted to.
i think the video fails to address some important things, mainly: mexico just got out of a civil war and was in no position to fight, the US would've pushed back the mexicans long before they did in the video, germany was doomed to lose to the british blockade, germany was in no position for an offensive in 1918, as their soldiers were mutineeing in mass, starving, and had just lost the 1918 spring offensive, ottoman forces couldn't push back the british even if they tried, the soviets wouldn't attack germany so soon after they had won their revolution since they didn't endustrialize in mass and would get steamrolled by the germans.
@@Franciko69given how advanced Mexico was under his rule, they would’ve definitely had a chance since the civil war wouldn’t have existed and the Mexican people would be united against one common enemy
To be honest, I don't think Germany would have been able to push its trenches in France beyond the historical setting, even without the arrival of American troops. What would possibly happen is a war of exhaustion and both would come to an agreement of a negotiated peace, while the United States punched Mexico... In the end we would still have a German Empire in this timeline, practically a cold war in Europe between France/UK against Germany.
Mexico couldn't of possibly pushed that far into the United States with the total disrepair their army was in in 1917, also they wouldn't of been able to hold onto the land that long either.
As a mexican, realistically at that point in time what would have happened is the moment Carranza declared war, basically any other of the other like 10 caudillos would have asked the US for support and taken power, then the anti american caudillos would have moved their armies to reignite the civil war again and it would have all devolved into full blown civil war for like the 12th time that century That aside I like the video, it's not one of those "then mexico joined and the central powers ended up marching on washington somehow"
Fantastic work, my friend! Really good job. ^_^ If I may ask a couple questions, what are the general Ideologies of each faction during and after ww2? Like, the West Allies are Democratic, and the Germans are Imperialist? Also, how come France was on Germany's side? Did they go through an Authoritarian coup or something? 😅
Well Germany still has the kaiser so they are an absolute monarchy i think, after ww1 Germany placed a German aligned government in France so thats why they are allies
@Italian_Mapper that's perfectly fine, lol. :) Would you possibly be interested in a part two of sorts to explain their positions and ideologies? You don't have to if you don't want to
Kinda of a cope , this was the height of fun culture where families owned a ton of weapons and in some cases were more armed then some militaries. That invasion would inflict a lot of casualties and eventually would get push out .
@@brubdub. I’m talking about the quality of the thumbnail flags, the uploader did a good job finding a high resolution image unlike the shitty 1p flags I see sometimes.
The US would focus on Mexico first and not the Western front, allowing Germany to stall the Entente and harness resources in Ukraine. Even if Germany is unable to push deeper into France past 1918, the Entente would eventually sue for peace giving Germany a slightly favorable alternative.
You severely overestimate the speed of ww1 army, germany couldn't reach paris mexico cannot reach any major city or actually take it once US army is there, also logistics
hello is me again oh and im back with more tips --- you did make teh font smaller gj --- 4:05 the army sizes addition was a great idea --- but why not put sizes for all fronts liek teh Fourth Balkan War and Italian Revolution --- siege and encirclement idea was good --- can u add the names like in Axis Victory: The Man in the High Castle? they look good --- is it just me or was this video a bit blurry than last --- oh and add the cities all in all great video
Thanks for coming with new critics and stuff, the army sizes was an experiment I still have to learn how to make them good and stuff, the maps are blurry because by zooming them in they lose quality so i'm not gonna do that again, but in the man in the high castle video there are no names so i dont understand that
So here’s what actually happened when the leader of Mexico was rudely awoken from his dream turned bad. Mexico got some territory with surprise, then Revolutionary exploded even more and the Mexican troops in the USA have supply issues do to the already existing revolutionaries in the north and then the USA starts mobilizing men and kicks Mexico out and by time USA troops cross into Mexico proper Mexico City has already been besieged if not taken by revolutionaries so the USA let’s the new government take over maybe taking some Northern Territory like Baja California and after that the Germans Keiser wakes up and sees the Mexico distraction was a complete failure, the army is close to Paris but taking it would take much longer then they have rights now because after Mexico capitulation the USA is coming already partially mobilized and that lead to Germany not being able to push and even being pushed back and after some time the kieser has to surrender or face a civil war themselves. In the end not much change except a Revolutionary Mexico and the USA is probably going to be less neutral in the peace talks meaning possible harsher treatment of the German empires and the ottomans and Bulgarians.
< CLASSIFED > Name: Operation New France Goal: Secure Mexican Occupation untell the Rio Grande Unit Numbers: 306,000 US / 100,000-150,000 MX (estimate) Date: 9th October, 1918 thanks @italian_Mapper for the video!
@@Italian_Mapper The Soviets JUST got out of a bloody civil war, they were tired, starving, and their military had used up many resources they no longer could regain. Sure, Germany could be considered stretched, but they could still put up a fight against the Soviets, and steamroll them. Germany would have used every man possible (due to a lack of a second front).
@@Italian_MapperNice, I actually clicked the video because of 'mexican kuruminha' As someone used to see her (or he, not going to explain this part) as the Brazilian waifu, it was kinda uncanny lol
The USSR would propably start pushing Poland And Lithuania in short period of time after end of the war, and either The Battle of Warsaw happens same as in reality, or communists will win. Then they have free way to advance in Germany and allies too. In reality, bolshevics were stopped at warsaw and their expansion was stopped. But in this reality... Who knows!
Honestly as far as my understanding of the situation Mexico would have a good time for a good 3-4 months before being pushed back and kicked the shit out of for barely over a year before being forced to capitulate and that possibly upwards of a year and a half while possible to give Germany a good edge, would not in my view have been enough in of itself to save Germany as I just dont see Germany makeing the big successful offensive showcased in this video, at least not in the year its made. That being said such is with the assumption America ever learned of the Telegram in such a timeline and if they did not they might not even intervene into Europe at all which would be a whole separate thing so a particularly prolonged war if Germany could hold itself and Austria together could go very differently then OTL
I really like your videos, but here’s one note I would like to leave, I doubt Germany would occupy France, and puppet it. They would weaken France more, then try to sign for peace with Britain (likely in their favour) and I doubt Britain would deny this treaty as it was on the brink of collapse like Germany, the populace was tired of war, and France already surrendered. Thank you for listening to my opinion!
i like it but i feel like some countries surrender a bit too fast.. also when italy and greece lost against germany, then they immediately join the entente is honestly a bit weird, you should've made some uprising in greece and italy, also u should have made greece occupy southern bulgaria and northwestern turkey, also you should have gave constantinople to britain.. but overrall it was good
