Featured servers on Minecraft Bedrock Edition are a staple of online crossplay with friends on MCPE, Xbox, Playstation, and PC. But what if, during Minecon 2017, Minecraft never announced featured servers? What would the MCBE server landscape look like today, 5 years in the future? This video dives deeper into that question, talking about the history of Minecraft Pocket Edition servers, discussing servers like Lifeboat (LBSG then), InPvP, and Mineplex, and speculating about if the Hive and Cubecraft would ever make servers, even if they weren't featured. I also discuss how Hypixel is doing so well on Minecraft Java Edition, even though featured servers don't exist on that Minecraft version. All of this commentary, over some Minecraft RTX Shader flyovers and some Hive Skywars Gameplay.

THAT TRAILER LOOKED SO REAL LOL! anyways, great informative man. I would really feel that Minecraft Bedrock would still have a different vibe when it comes to not having featured servers were not a thing. I believe content creation would be somewhat different, and the knowledge of existing servers would be either high (if it is spoken about a lot) or low (if it is not too known). This is my thought and I hope I do make sense LOL great video again!

For one, servers like Pixel Paradise wouldn't exist. If someone had to search for the ip to Pixel Paradise, they'd likely find all the complaints and not want to play. However, since it's on the featured page, you don't need any research to play it.

Legacy console mini games were so much higher quality and didn't had any microtransaction bs (you can pay for maps but you can join servers that have the DLC even if you don't own them)

Bro you should talk about what happened to cubecraft i got kicked but when I tapped the server the player count went from 10-15 thousand to 3,300 it was so weird I don't know what it said when I got kicked because I had to get my baby sister cause she was crying but my tablet went off when I got there so I don't know I hope I'm not crazy plz reply if this happened to you too I could just be crazy

Wonder how many other illegalities have been committed by whoever was in charge of the decision making; ranging from false advertising with Marketplace content to straight up removing premium for-life content needing a subscription to stay a-float. Sad thing is players have outgrown the server due to this & everyone is too poor, young or have moved on to care now-a-days. Due to this as you have mentioned nothing will likely be done.
