I'm gonna say this yet again. There is no enhancement of the story by aging them up and it actually hurts the original premise of the story that these are child soldiers. You can be drafted when you're 15. There's more impact behind it that they are being trained to fight and kill at the age of 12 and younger. And that's what the original author wanted. For people to understand about his story that it's a harsh place that they use children as soldiers. So I wish authors would quit aging them up. If there's anyone comments that this is a original fan fiction or whatever you want to call it that they can run it the way they want to. I'm not arguing with that, but when you got one of the key points from the original story that's not deviating from Canon, that's changing the whole meaning and feel behind the slori, and you really can't call it a fan fiction idea. Because you basically butchered one of the key points. And someone not think that this is a really important part. But it is to me and this is my opinion only. I'm not telling the officer to change the story. I just wish they would keep to the heart of the original stories. Change all the s*** you want to, but don't cut out the heart. And this is one of the Hearts. Naruto doesn't give up. Naruto, even though he was abused, still decided to protect the village. Naruto is a preteen while he's been trained to kill people, that the ninja children are not just kids playing at a game. They are trained combatants. You cut any one of these points out of it, you're kind of missing the point of the series. The true heart of the series.
