the civilians and shinobi should not have been able to harm naruto inside of his apartment when the hokage could have put protection seals on his apartment
Unless another author picks up the task of continuing the story, It's possible but I'd say it's more of a 'wait and see' situation A few scenarios come to mind as possible ways to continue the story: Orochimaru experimenting on hollows and creating shinobi hollows, which causes Naruto to be sent as a specialist to deal with them. Aizen trying (And failing) to recruit Naruto for the takeover of Las Noches. Naruto gets Kisuke to build a gateway to allow Naruto to visit the Elemental Nations only to find old enemies such as Gato, Doto Kazahana (Pretty much every major enemy that has a grudge against Konoha) turned into especially powerful hollows. Kami shows up in Souls society and insists on Naruto completing his role as 'child of prophecy' making Naruto have to jump back and forth between the Bleach universe and the Naruto universe.
