Hello there, i enjoyed a lot this theory. I always thought that from the beginning Kylo shold've be a Jedi and Rey a sith. I mean look at her, I CAN SEE THE SITH EYES, she would suit 101% in a sith. And Ben, come on, he's to a good boy to be a supreme leader. Here's my theory: In an alternative universe, Ben and Rey are friends. They both don't know who are they're parents and they want to find out that. Finn and Poe's starship crashes on Jakku, and they're both alive. Finn's story is the same, he was a stormtrooper and etc. Poe's story also the same They encounter eachother and Rey find out that she's force sensitive healing Finn and Poe's injuries randomnly. A little bit powerful for someone who doesn't know the force... Poe talked to her: "What's your name?" "Rey" "Your last name?" "We both don't have a last name" "Maybe you could join the resistence or just come with us to see someone, you maybe know her, she's our captain, her name is Leia, Leia Organa" Ben starts feeling something strange, like something he remembers They join the rebellion and Ben find out that he's the son of Han and Leia. When he was a baby he got kidnapped in a fight with the first order and they're parents thought that they would never see him again. The story go on, Rey and Ben become Jedi, they got trained by Luke that in this universe is still with Leia because Ben and Luke never met, and they make they're own lightsaber, both blue ones. The starkiller base got destroyed etc etc. Until Rey find out that she has dark side powers, she become more powerful and the others are afraid of the dark side in her, but they don't say anything. Rey use the force choke on Ben when they were arguing, and Ben become afraid of her. She is every time more alone, Ben finded his parents and she didn't. She now knows the force choke and lightning, she needs to be stopped. While arguing with the others, Rey sees a vision of her dark side clone, but instead of being afraid of her-self, she says: "STOP, i don't have nothing here and nothing to lose, i should've knew this before, my destiny is this, and you are accepting it, or i will make you do it." She choke Ben and almost kill him, then Luke ignited his lightsaber and they fight, until she stuns him whit the force lighting and kill him. Then she runs to a spaceship and go towards the first order, becoming the apprendice of the supreme leader. She got a dual blade red lighsaber, got the task of killing the resistence and a new rank, Dark Rey She fighted Ben and tried to turn him to the dark side, but Ben isn't evil, he knows that the light side will always be there for him and he says: "Rey, look at who you become, you were my friend, I- I loved you. You aren't this, this isn't you!" "I'm not Rey, say my full name! You really can't see the truth" Ben swing his lightsaber and hit Rey. "It seems i am the only one that can beat you, but i am not beating you with the lightsaber" He heals Rey and kiss her She doesn't do anything, just stares at him. "You can change, Rey, it's your choice" She took her lightsaber and pointed it at Ben, but he didn't move. "Why, why are you losing your time!" "I'm not losing it, Rey, come on" She starts crying "I don't know what to say, I- I" "It's ok, now let's get out of here" The supreme leader knows that Rey betrayed him, the final battle is coming. Rey, with dark clothing, red lighsaber and sith eyes, came to the Resistence and everyone pointed at her "Why is she here? Who is she? SHE'S GONNA KILL US! Ben is a sith!" Many voices are heard in the crowd. Leia stared at her, then she sayed: "Welcome back, Rey" Rey sayed: "How can you accept me like this, i am the one who killed your twin brother, i don't deserve this" "You are not the one who killed him, you are back, she wasn't you." Days passed and Rey maked a new lightsaber, a yellow one, her sith eyes disappearead and she maked new white clothing, she was back and they were going to fight the final battle. Rey and Finn knew something about the First Order and after a day of planning, the First Order came. The battle was legendary and intense, Ben and Rey was much more coordinated and they were a perfect duo. They reached the supreme leader inside of a reinforced and brand new AT-AT. "Oh, you! Rey, I suppose you are not here to come back with me, and YOU, Ben, you made a big mistake, you should've joined us. Now you are going to die!" - the supreme leader said grimly They fighted and fighted, the battle was intense, until... "You are a waste of time!" And the supreme leader did the force choke on Rey "Nooooo!" - Ben almost hitted the supreme leader Rey sayed: "Ben, go save the others and win this battle, i will kill him with my own hands" "No, this is our battle, i will not leave you alone" "You need to go, the Resistence is losing troops, you are the only one that can save them!" Ben went in the Battlefield The supreme leader let him go, he wanted Rey "So, we are just in 2. You know how much power you lost?" "I have gained power, not lost it, i have something to fight for now!" And she hit him with the lightsaber "Y-You made a big mistake." The Resistence won and the peace was brought to the galaxy. In this universe Rey never know about Palpatine, I spent a lot of time writing and i think this is a good base on how the sequel should've be.
I know I am late to the show with this comment but I wanted Rey to turn to the dark side even before TLJ came out. I think it would have been a really interesting character arc for her then to be finally redeemed in episode 9 but alas what we ended up with was the speed bump that was TLJ and the wrap up rush that the TROS became because of it. So much wasted character development.. sigh.
Rey should have turned to the dark side In Ep 9 and is the new Empress and Ben turns good at the end. They had the right idea with her being a Palpatine but she should have turned.
I think Rey would firstly try to recruit her friends in the Resistance and when they pass she turns fully to Empress Palpatine and would unleash her full power in the darkside
If this scenario would happen, then Palaptine wins in this sequel trilogy but there is still hope. There's potencial in the **Broom Kid** from The Last Jedi. Maybe he could be the next force user in the next new trilogy. He would be nothing special, just that he has some force abilities as he has grown up (like a regular jedi from the prequels). But to start his journey the force ghost comes to him and tells him he's the next hero of this journey (Not as a chosen one, jedi/sith or skywalker/palapatine but as a new hero). During his journey, there could be more force user that could join on his adventure. Once he or they defeats Rey, he or they will create a new order which focuses on both sides of the force. When this happens, the history of jedi/sith and skywalker/palpatine is gone but there's the force and new force users. Thanks for reading! :)
The light side would need to make another chosen one, and it would need to be VERY active in protecting him or her from the darkside. But honestly, I think rey would litterally be stronger than even the light side in its entirty, I mean. Anakin forced The son and daughter to bow to him without much effort. I think Rey would be even stronger than that, and be able to Force the light and dark side in its entirty to submit. To her. I'm quite sure, Rey would become a goddess.
I feel Luke should have had a kid named John Skywalker and he left his kid at a early age due to his kid failing his camp cause of this his kid grows up feeling force sensitive but later becomes the strongest Jedi ever Rey on the other hand meets John they become friends but Rey keeps hearing palptine in her head and turns to the darkside making her become the empress and then John leaves on a ship escaping her setting up for the next movie this is what I would do if I could make the next trilogy also John does not know who his dad is because his dad did not train him someone else did…
i feel like if they could do that in the last movie ,but she didn't kill Kylo ren/Ben ,maybe she did kill her grandfather and kylo never turn to light side of theforce ,adding 2 two more heroes in the story.
So is empress palpatine a younger female sidious or am I wrong if he did transfer his spirit into her how much control would she have if any and why would she kill him if palpatine would take over her body and essentially kill her
Ray could have been such a good Star Wars character if done well but sadly she wasn’t I really enjoyed TFA but not tlj or ros there was so much wrong with them but hey we can just use our imagination for what we wanted to happen
