This is a very true and very awesome comment. Kaioken was always a favorite of mines, then once super saiyan hit the scene, it was over. But the kaioken was very underutilized placed on the back burner when it didn't need to be.

Not a bad perspective tbh I can see it. I would put KCM1 slightly above sage mode just cause of the speed buff and amount of creative rasengans he began pulling out like mini rasenshuriken and planetary rasengan. But sage mode is definitely very close to KCM1 because of the cognitive buff,strength buff etc that sage mode gives.

Yeah Brother Sage Mode Naruto legit got stronger he went from struggling to beat the deva path to Taking out Half of Kuruma as well as defeating reanimated kages with Shadow Clones (using sage mode) it’s legit obvious he got stronger with it plus he can hold it out longer in the war he went from only being able to throw 2 rasenshuriken and running out of sage mode to being able to throw 4 and then run out he was definitely progressing with sage mode alone. And him being able to use it with kcm made it much more sweeter lol I think it was infinite atp while kcm2 was active.

He does seem to use this amp just before itachi cuts his arms off but it doesn't seem to do anything with his sensing as when sensing amaterasu, his pupils are small.

There is no sensing mode amp😂that's all head canon😂. This happens when pain is focused on something similar to OG naruto vs Sasuke we see sasukes pupil size increase when he is focusing on naruto(trying to see narutos movements)which is different from a dojutsu increase

Kabuto is good with the Rinnegan but, he’s not as good as its natural user. Part of the Reason Nagato lost the way he did was just pure oversight on Kabuto’s part which he does a lot in the war. He’s even visibly displeased when he loses Nagato.

War arc sage mode Naruto would also destroy pein. People don't realize Naruto's sage mode during pein arc was still experimental as he still couldn't enter it without the oil and at mount myoboku. The clones had to be summon which was a time consuming process. It was only until Naruto's fight against kurama did we get to see how busted his sage mode was, some of his feats in sage mode surpasses his kcm 1 feats. Eg: he created 25 ultra big ball rasengans (same size as the one that killed momoshiki) at the same time with shadow clones and still had enough for a rasenshuriken, he took down raikage in 1 blow, former the biggest rasenshuriken we've ever seen against Madara, harmed juubito with just a single rasengans. In pein arc, Naruto sage mode had a limit of 2 rasenshurikens before he's out, in the war arc he could throw up to 6 with shadow clones, halving his chakra each time as he do so.

ONLY reason pain pinned Naruto to the ground was thanks to sage mode having a shorter time limit , otherwise the fight would've been over MUCH sooner , not to mention in a one v one , pain couldn't hang with sage Naruto in hand to hand , an had he absorbed it's chakra instead of that other pain ? It's GGS lol the nine tails wasn't even needed in that fight.

We know even none sensory Shinobi can sense large enough chakra’s like Taka Sensing Naruto during the war so I don’t necessarily agree with the hatred sensing point. You let me handle the editing decisions my man. The block smashing arguments aren’t bad but, I think they more so suggest Naruto just has no finess over his power similar to him smashing his foot in a wall. He may not be used to chakra itself being that strong as opposed to his physical body.

Completely irrelevant as Sasuke has even less of a metric to judge off of and he comes to the same conclusion. You’d be essentially saying Sasuke thinks he also loses based on Base Naruto’s feats which makes no sense he’d slaughter that Naruto. Naruto thinking Sasuke can keep using MS adds to what I said with Naruto sensing that and basing Sasuke’s strength on those showings. Naruto had no idea what Sasuke did this arc, he legit is basing it off of what he sensed and his encounter with Sasuke. All he knew was that Sasuke attacked the summit. You could never prove anything other than that as Naruto was no where near the summit nor had sensed it. He was just told of the events roughly by Gaara. Which I mean you can’t argue means Naruto used it as a scaling point since he is baffled & surprised by the Raikage’s speed later on who was prob in Gaara’s explanation. This next point ignores every ounce of the story and what’s happening with Naruto’s character in favor for mindless blanket statements. It ignores the cycle of hatred & Naruto’s approach to it handling it via Sasuke’s own hatred, Naruto at this point in the story was looking for a solution for the Cycle of Hatred which Sasuke had embodied and deduced he would never be able to deal with Sasuke’s hatred if he couldn’t deal with his own along with Naruto realizing Indra was present inside Sasuke, along with Naruto not wanting to risk the village in a similar situation to pain - after this arc Naruto did want to return to the leaf to wait to fight Sasuke so he fully planned on fighting him there. While Sasuke does need to see the blindness wasn’t the main issue for him it was a subsequent result, but at the end of the Danzo fight despite having degraded his eyes HEAVILY he still was going to go to Konoha. The blindness happened to line up with the express purpose being to crush Naruto - Sasuke also guns for Naruto right after EMS and says he’s going to where he is. I’m fine with saying 5KS over SM like that’s an entirely acceptable stance and one I’m partial to but, these points are extremely disingenuous. You don’t have to make these types of arguments or ignore what’s actually happening in the series to say Sasuke wins.

Why do you believe Naruto didn’t sense this? “I’ll need the kyuubi’s chakra to fight sasuke” I agree that narratively it make perfect sense for Naruto to want to overcome kuramas HATRED before trying to take on sasuke’s. My only problem is that if that was the case then why didn’t Naruto just say that? Why do we as readers have to do these mental gymnastics to twist his statment of NEEDING kuramas chakra to fight sasuke, to needing to overcome kuramas hatred to fight sasuke? This just seems like a way of coping imo. You can’t seriously think that sasuke being blind wasn’t THE problem. The blindness was 100% sasuke’s problem aside from the pure agony his body was in. Sasuke doesn’t flee with obito because he thinks he’s not strong enough. Let’s create a scenario where sasuke could still fight Naruto in that moment. Say he wasn’t going blind, and zetsu healed him back to full strength. Sasuke would STILL CONFIDENTLY fight Naruto 1v1 in that moment. Do you disagree? Because if not, then you’d have to recant your original argument. Sasuke doesn’t think he needs an increase in power to defeat Naruto. He obviously needs to freaking see lol. So he tells obito it’s time to transplant Itachi’s eyes because he wants to crush Naruto. How on earth is sasuke going to do that if he can’t even see? He’s not a sensory so his vision at this point in the story is absolutely essential. Saying it’s not is just so stupid and disingenuous. I personally believe FKS sasuke was stronger than sage Naruto by a pretty substantial amount. All of sasukes MS abilities kind of neg sage Naruto like Amaterasu, flame control, heck just regular genjutsu oneshots. It’s makes so much sense that Naruto would claim he needed to master Kuramas chakra because ONLY with it can naruto hard counter all of sasukes MS abilities. I think Kcm Naruto is more relative to MS sasuke and actually has the edge. That’s just more narratively accurate with what kishimoto wrote. People always try to downplay sasuke but on the contrary kishimoto goes out of his way to convince us of his strength with statments such as these. “I’ll need the kyuubis chakra to fight sasuke”… and still fans try to twist the statment to downplay sasuke lol.

I do agree Sasuke would have fought Naruto there and then as he did but, after discovering he and Naruto would take each other out he was clearly unsatisfied and wanted to put himself a tier above that with EMS. Understanding the narrative behind the story and Naruto ver batum stating he’s attempting to deal with the cycle of hatred, quite literally begging the Raikage about it is not mental gymnastics. It’s just looking at the story for more than 2 seconds and thinking logically not just seeing “I need the nine tails chakra” and ignoring everything outlining it which was also outlined quite extensively in the previous arc. Naruto sensing Sasuke peak out hatred wise is not only said in the video but, adds to my argument again as he literally thinks that’s how strong Sasuke is and is basing it off that. Which adds to him having a better metric of Sasuke strength wise than Sasuke does for him which makes the two of them seeing their own deaths if they fought more valid. The Blind point is obvious of course he needs Itachi’s eyes at that point since he’s blind, but again right this is where you have to read the story friend. Sasuke hated the scenario Itachi wanted and vehemently went against getting his eyes, even again when he was near blind towards the end of the summit, Naruto being the main thing that spurred it with him also just needing new eyes. They’re not mutually exclusive, he can need new eyes due to being blind while Naruto is the main thing that spurs it on since they both saw their own deaths. I don’t care for the mini analysis of Naruto vs Sasuke here as that’s not what I’m interested in tackling. If you say 5KS > SM again that’s entirely fine I said before I’m partial to that stance but a lot of what was said in these responses were not valid. I don’t have a problem with your stance, but the arguments being made. Powerscaling is a big part of Naruto but actually ignoring every story aspect, theme, narrative, character motivation is not good analysis, and playing it off as “mental gymnastics” is insane. We can agree to disagree of course I just implore you to not use these types of argument as they’re outdated and ignore the series itself in favor for more simplistic thinking.

The fact that sasuke was WILLING to fight Naruto in that moment PROVES his power was not the problem, but his blindness. Because if sasuke thought he needed more power to defeat Naruto then why would he be willing to fight him in that moment? Thats why it just makes WAYYY more sense that sasuke simply wants to return his vision more than increase his power. He doesn’t even know what kind of power increase Itachi’s eyes will give him. For all sasuke knew he’d just be getting his eye sight back with MAYBE a little less draw back when using his MS abilities from not damaging his eyes so much.
