at that time, Sanemi wouldnt have the Amps and training he had in Training arc and Infinity castle arc. A serious Akaza would undoubtedly wipe the floor with Sanemi no amps. There would be no time for the sun to rise, as the only reason the fight with Rengoku took long is because Akaza purposely made the fight longer.

At this point in the story Sanemi and Kyojuro were similar in strength.

Kokushibo wasn't going anywhere near full out against sanemi and even after rejoining the fight it was gyomie who carried the fight mainly and had to save sanemi multiple times

Akaza is one of the worst opponents for Sanemi. He would simply lose in the long run worse than Giyuu did. And yes we go to the train arch, Sanemi would have put up a little better fight than Kyojuro, but it would be the same in the end

Keep in mind that Akaza battle spirit would make him the worst opponent for someone like Sanemi, as it react base on ones bloodlust.

Also Mitsuri’s freakish strength comes from the fact that her muscle composition is 8 times denser than that of a regular human. Also now that I think about it, Rengoku’s death was probably necessary.

Shinobu's poison would've been useless if inosuke hadn't came in the right time to aid kanao infact before the poison could do anything douma would've been killed kanao multiple times like a dogsh*t only after toying with her douma is freaking strong + tamayo helped Shinobu to modified her poison so it's not wrong Shinobu is very weak who need many people's assistance to help her.

no one was going to activate the mark in that fight because tanjiro didnt activate his yet all the hashiras activate their marks when some one with an original mark activates it first thats why the mist hashira and love hashira activated it aganist upper 4 and 5 cause tanjiro did

Muichiro and mitsuri activated the mark without any prior knowledge all you need is a near death experience and it has a very high chance of happening and tanjiro not activating the mark doesn't effect the hashira's awakening of the mark

⁠​⁠@@beastslayer9270tanjiro did end up surpassing him and taking his head off even though it was only for a moment with stw Which was the abiliy/state akaza was trying to achieve if I remember correctly the death compass needle technique he developed and honed to perfection made it essentially a counter to anyone with battle spirit no matter the amount that’s why when tanjiro remembered Stw through memories he has of his father it through akaza off so hard that he didn’t even notice Tanjiro’s presence because he legit had no battle spirit (Kokushibo also uses this via the 3 sets of eyes he has that is why he is able to counter akaza’s technique) stw was the innate ability yoriichi was born that allowed him to see through people giving him an advantage and possibly even be able to predict future movements from his opponent along with the mark and later was some how pasted down within the kamado family even though the only thing that should be apparent from what was pasted down would have been sun breathing and the mark since sun breathing is meant to be used by a marked one in order to create and spread the mark to others. My guess as to how it got reintroduced is that in kinda the same way how the bright red blade technique that draws out the maximum potential of one’s nichirin sword Which was rediscovered by muichiro if I recall and then adopted by the other Hashira who were present with muichiro. The same could be said for Stw my guess since there is no actual proof of yoriichi passing anything else on to the kamado’s aside from the art of sun breathing and of course the mark via sun breathing, we can only assume that one of Tanjiro’s ancestors or perhaps his father arrived to that conclusion and rediscovered Stw through their own means (since we do have actual evidence that stw was something tanjiro learned from his father my guess is that Tanjuro or his grand father was able to master stw) though tanjiro only remembering this at the most crucial point in the story is something of bewilderment to me considering he drew from past memories to aid him in his earlier fights one would think he would remember something so absolutely broken technique wise for demon slayer in general sooner than again the memory that is shown to us is something so minute in detail that he couldn’t actually understand what his father was talking about until he actually understood it.
