@@elijahechicagobearsboyd5734 that makes no difference, they sound alike because they sound alike. Plenty of nu metal bands sound different from each other.
@peteplaysmusic Sounds good to me, your music is always awesome to listen to. 😁 Edit: Btw forgot to add this but I wanna see you turn a pop punk riff into a metal riff, maybe like *Dammit by Blink 182* or *The Hell Song by Sum 41.*
I like the extra content watching you come up with a general idea. It takes skill taking the essence of 2 bands. Without context I'd have a good idea what you were trying to accomplish. Nice to see you back, looking forward to seeing more. 👍
Good to see you back! The sound quality of your vids is awesome as always🔥 and from this vid, my fav riffs are probably Iron Man and Smoke on the water, so sick!
Most of the songs sound better at .75x. Slipknot isnt all fast songs: Gehenna, Vermillion, Dea Memories, Sulfur, Snuff, Devil in I, etc. are slower tempo than the 'Self Titled' tracks.
Blind by Korn in the style of Slipknot kinda slaps hard.... Like, you are middle of a fight just throwing punches, or killing monsters in a game! Suffice to say I loved that a lot! Speaking of slapping hard, how about different bands in the style of Gojira, or Meshuggah?
this sounds crazy you perfectly captured what makes their simple riffs sound so agressive, i want a full version of Iron Man btw you should give us some tips on how to write a Slipknot style song, i'd love to know how you got your samples
please do a What if Slipknot played Fear Factory ( Scapegoat, Replica, Edgecrusher, Linchpin, Cyberwaste) and What if Fear Factory played ( Surfacing, left behind, before I forget, Gematria, devil in I) since there's a couple connections between the bands.
Dude, the Pantera and KoRn riffs are sooooooooooooo FN BA!! They both have that groove that even Slipknot has a hard time with in new music. They might need to Consult you for riffs! Those to have that classic Bounce to me and the drum work is on point to help bring out the important notes. And most importantly, it doesn't sound exactly like an old song, excluding the blind intro part, but it all makes up for it with those heavy groovy jams that follows! KoRn could take a note from this one too. In the modern age, Blind doesn't drop in and hit as hard as it did back in the day, but the intro will always be legendary. Just man!, great thought, and attention to detail, and feel for what sounds right man. 🤘
