it was directed by Sam Raimi and is the first instalment in the Spider-Man trilogy which stars Tobey Maguire as spider man. The movie told the origin story of the character and the creation of his first villain.
The development of this movie had started in the 1980s and was stalled for nearly 25 years due the severe issues they had with obtaining their licensing. The stall was also made longer by the crippling financial issues they faced along with trying to get the license. It finally premiered on the 29th of April 2002 and received positive reviews from critics and viewers alike.
It would go on to hit 100 million dollars in sales in a single weekend making it the first movie to do that and also the most successful movie based on a comic book at the time of its release. The 2002 Spiderman movie redefined the superhero genre and inspired two sequels as a follow-up.
The purpose of this fan fiction is to explore the idea that the symbiote had existed in the 2002 Spiderman movie. How would this particular story arc go if the symbiote was in the 2002 Spiderman movie? How would it have influenced the course of the story?
