What if Stanley Talked in The Stanley Parable? (Parody) 

Thanks for watching! Also, yes I know Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 is out. I'm working on it! But Stanley Parable first! Now some fun facts about this video: 1. This is recorded using the Ultra Deluxe edition of the game. HOWEVER, I did not want to record any of the new content, as I feel people should play that for themselves instead of having it spoiled. It is very good. That said, the new content is VERY referential to the original content itself, which didn't fit well with the "roleplay" aspect of my video. 2. There are a lot of portions/choices that I cut out due to the whole thing getting VERY META and referring to Stanley as a player instead of a person in the game, which didn't really work well for the roleplay aspects. Examples: "The Baby" mini-game. Throwing Stanley into OTHER games. Etc. So they were cut. 3. This is the longest SINGLE episode I've ever done. Anything longer at this point is just a compilation of several videos. 4. I began work on this BEFORE The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe edition came out... however when I was looking into it, I found out about the new edition and decided to hold off doing the video until after it came out. 5. I've always thought the narrator in this game sounded like Stephen Fry, who narrates The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Considering that book series is a MAJOR factor in the "Press Start to Laugh" universe, this game felt like the perfect fit for this channel. 6. I view this as the "beginning" of the Arthur we know from Subnautica and Raft. He references other voices in his head, etc. 7. The letters at the beginning that Stanley is typing spell "D O O M G O D N E E D S C H E E T O S". 8. I originally named the narrator in this, but dropped it when the dialogue got a bit confusing. The name I gave him was Phil. 10. In an earlier version of the script, I referenced a lot of Stanley's co-workers. They were named Linda, Ted, Lem, and Veronica. These are characters from a short-lived show about working in a corporate environment called "Better Off Ted". It's great. You should watch it. 11. Trying to voice over the same lines as the narrator at the same time was a PAAAAAIN. But I think the end result was worth it.

"you're snarkier than my other voices" is a line that is very concerning and hilarious all in one.

At 10:55 you can hear "Stanley" saying "NARRATOR YOUR LINE IS DRUNK!!!" Best part of the confusing ending

I feel like maybe Stanley came on a day off work. No one told him that he didn’t have to come into work today

That bit where you had Stanley and the narrator speak at the same time during the dream ending was low key terrifying. 21:05

Love the small details like running into the wall when your eyes close. That whole “am i crazy?” segment was absolute gold - screaming at the same time as the narrator gave me chills

I'd date this version of Stanley, he's funny and has a nice voice. Too bad we didn't get to see him react to the other endings or the console commands and Easter eggs.

the fact that when the narrator says stuff like “stanley said HELP ME SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME I’M REAL” or stuff like that, stanley would actually say it, like the narrator is an actual narrator

That moment when the narrator discovers that he is being controled too in the confusion ending, he thought he was the one controling the acts of stanley but even his own acts are being controled as well

I legit started playing this game last week and thought, “hey. What if Stanly talked? That’d be a great video” the chuckled as the narrator yelled at me because I jumped off the cargo crane.

At 39:18 it really felt like something Stanley would say in-game

I won’t lie, I am now weirdly curious to see how Stanley got from office worker to space janitor. Also wondering how many of those voices Stanley had before the Narrator showed up, is it possible that the Mayor might’ve been Arthur‘s first voice and he just forgot about it?

That ending part in the insanity ending was absolutely incredible

The voice work on the Zending is absolutely fantastic. I admire the sheer pain and agony in the guy's voice after jumping, realism at its finest

I'm a huge fan of The Stanley Parable, and this video was fricking hilarious. Can't wait to see the rest of your content!

A long time ago I tried to make a timeline of this channel, so here’s an update. I will be going by game chronological time, not the events in flashbacks as Doom and Hollowknight make that wayyyyy too complicated. Earliest we start at are all souls Likes (Dark souls, Bloodborne, demon’s souls, and Elden ring), Pokémon Legends, and minecraft in that order. All 3 take place in a time without much technology, however the more advanced tech from minecraft (red stone) suggest it’s the latest in the timeline, with Pokémon being only a bit earlier, considering it’s use of photography, pokeballs, and medicines, all of which are much more advanced than anything shown in souls likes. Next comes monster hunter with use of ridiculous machinery, inventions like the weapons and ships used, etc. Next comes Breath of the wild, after all… who do you think made the guardians? The fifth fleet of Hyrule perhaps? What if Hyrule was just another new world, yet to be discovered, then forgotten by time… leaving only their advanced machinery used to “guard” their remains… An extreme leap in time sees the modern world, starting with Far cry 5 and Bioshock in no particular order. I don’t know enough of about Bioshock to know it’s exact time frame, but it 100% comes right before or after far cry 5. Outlast, world of warships/tanks, Poppy’s playtime, and ghostbusters all follow Bioshock, as they could be anytime before or after Far cry. After that comes Pokemon followed by the division, with their vastly superior tech, and especially Division’s doomsday scenario. This is followed by Resident evil, since the world has gone to garbage much more than division. Leaving our modern time quickly comes the new age, with the trickiest to figure out. Destiny lore is ironically the easiest to figure out for once, and we can place Destiny 2 in the direct middle, since astral chain is still set on a broken yet still fighting earth and dead space/journey to the savage planet’s less advanced ways to travel and survive in space. Next comes halo, since it’s canonically before Destiny, since master chief can be spotted sleeping in a D1 mission. After Destiny comes Warframe, which is most likely farthest in the space era due to its RIDICULOUSLY complicated technology easily being more complicated than anything made during the D2 era. After that comes Arthur’s adventure in space, crashing down to a now flooded earth, eventually freezing over and becoming a now broken earth, where 2 robots (Samuel Hayden and G.L.A.D.O.S) attempt to fix humanity with their trials and tribulations (I.E. Portal), only for Doom 2016 to happen and cause the demise of… pretty much everything. This also leads to Arthur’s death and journey in the Stanley parable where he loses his memories, trapped in an endless cycle of death and voices in his conscious trying to save or fix him. This could also have a tie to Inscryption since some theorize it’s a form of purgatory. Luckily, doom god saves the earth… by killing all of it, leaving the world wasting away and becoming the world of Shadow of the colossus, where one man untied by the father is able to survive the eternal culling and live with his steed. Probably. Not too sure about that end, but hey the Makyr’s survived, so maybe they could’ve… restarted the earth or something? Hollow knight is impossible to place since it’s lore is so deep it could happen at any of these points, from the beginning of time, to the very end living under the rocks and sand of the colossus’.

Of course it was the most complex endings.
