So many fond memories of this game. First video game that I owned firsthand. If I were to suggest a mod, i think instead of a theme, a character mod could be cooler. So, like, switch up Mario and crew to be Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, and Pauline or Wario, Waluigi, Yoshi, and Birdo or Koopa Troopa, Shy Guy, Lakitu, and Buzzy Beets. Of course, you could also make them non-Nintendo characters, too
Maybe a crazy thing, but the accurate SMW stuff mod. Make new desert tileset. Bring in the old SMW Bob-omb sprites. Make the koopalings and Bowser look more like the original game (theres some good sprites out there). Heck, use the beta chain chomp, hammer, and sledge bro sprites! I'd really love to see what you can do!
I’m just surprised they didn’t have more “Extra Game Styles” style*S* plural and there’s only one! I know it could overlap with the Super Ball in M1 style, but having an extra style of Mario Land would have been cool. And Mario Land 2. I wanted Mario 3 Advanced. I know it’s just the same as Mario 3, but I like the style of it. Replace the super leaf with the Tanooki Suit and the Frog Suit with the Hammer Bros Suit. Just some more styles!
I hope this mod gets updated to compensate for all of the new features that have been added. They can start with: - Fire Flower - Bowser Jr. - Conveyor Belt - Super Ball Flower (if they haven’t already)
Shame Mario's sprites aren't correct (hopefully that gets fixed soon), but otherwise this looks AMAZING. *Thanks for showing us this!* Here's hoping the next Mario Maker gets Marioland and SMB2 fully-integrated into the game -- unlike that 'separated' 3D World BS Mario Maker 2 had lol.
Hey; that was supposed to go in "Extra Game Styles", since everyone made such a big deal of the plural term as evidence they were going to add more styles after 3DW! 🤣
I think if they add an SML style they should mix the two games with most of the graphics from the second one? The two exclusive power-ups would be the magic carrot and the superball flower.
I'm sure changing enemy behavior is significantly more difficult than changing graphics, which can typically be done without any programming knowledge.
This is a very refreshing look for Super Mario Maker 2, I think this just goes to show that this game has so much more potential! Nice video and looking forward to the next one.
Bee-rah-boo-toe. Looks like Hee-yoy-ee-hoy (if not Hi for the first syllable) for the Hammer Bro.... Also, I don't think there's much else you could add in a mod pack that hasn't been done in content patches for the full game already...
i liked this video its kinda cool BTG even if you got the names wrong but super mario maker 2 story mode is good at best but Nintendo made there own troll levels which is kinda funny
I agree completely they should’ve have the super mario land 1 and 2 in super mario maker 2 from the beginning, maybe yoshi island style would be great as well but idk since yoshi island and mario bros style are two different play style but i still think it will be great for nostalgia
