If he was born with the mark, he most likely would have mastered the flame breathing by the time of entertainment district, which means he would still probably be in the swordsmith village because of how his sword can't take the flame breathing's power leading to a need of a new sword.

I think he was born with it but burn scar covered it bro. In the anime it was stated that someone has to activate it first then it spread to others. The only other person who had done this was yoriichi. And if he wasn’t born with them tell me why his mark is the only one that stays on his body. So you’re telling me over all those years a demon slayer did not meet the requirement to activate it that’s crazy. Only people who are born with the mark can trigger the rest to appear

Tanjiro was born with the mark actually but it was gradually went away due to Tanjuro (Tanjiro’s Dad) having to Mark but came back forms as a scar (he got protecting his brother from boiling water) and when his father passed away. And the mark formed/powered up only during the battle with Daki/Ume and gyotaru (sorry if spelling is wrong).

I have some things to say 1- he wouldnt became a pillar early because there is already 9 pillars 2- probably rengoku survives in this scenario, since tangiro would be strong enough to help and rengoku would awaken the mark 3- he still help tengen fight daki and gyutaro, tengen awakens the mark and wins with his eye and arm 4- tangiro dont go to the swordsmith village, so muichiro and mitsuri die, only then tangiro became a pillar 5- no infinity castle arc

For your point at #3, i dont think tanjiro would help tengen, he only did because he was at the butterfly mansion who just woke up from recovery (I forgot if he just woken up). But he would have left early due to minimal injuries if they defeated akaza, hence he wouldnt meat uzui. If scenario #3 were possible, then he would still get his sword chipped due to sun breathing, he would need a new sword which makes him go to swordsmith village arc. But before that, if tanjiro successfully helped rengoku, then he wouldve ended the fight against upper 6 with minimal injuries, same with tengen, so he doesnt retire. Then if that happens in infinity castle arc will occur and all 9 hashiras would still be alive. There would be less deaths. But in the first place i think rengoku wouldve still died even with a marked tanjiro.

One plot point with the mark that bugs me or maybe more so bums me out is to my knowledge they don't explicitly tell us if Tanjiro, Giyu, and Sanemi die from the mark. LOGICALLY they would. However, if the author let them live to like Urukodaki's age, that would be one piece of plot armor that DOESN'T bug me as much as the entertainment district and swordsmith village plot armor. (At least since a separate and comparable gigantic plot point was the Ubuyashiki curse inflicted from Muzan turning and being lifted from him dying. If the little boy can liveto over 100 then at least give these guys a full life back.)

Actually tanjiro was born with the mark in episode 19 we see tanjiro had the mark and nezuko was a baby but the falling hot stuff happened when nezuko was a little older which means the mark disappeared because either tanjiros hair was blocking it or because he never used the mark.

He awaken his mark before the entertainment district. That scar on his head turn into a mark. It's first shown in season 1 episode 6 after the final selection. If you look, he first had a scar and then what looks like the mark. This makes me believe it wasn't a scar at all but a pre-mature mark. Or maybe after he got burn by boiling water, since that what gave give the scar to begin with.

Actually, tanjiro did have the mark since he was born, and he did not die at 25, LET ME EXPLAIN PLEASE 😭, so in a manga panel of the first few chapters, Tanjiro is shown as literally like a 3 year old and he has that pink scar on his face that was supposed to be form the accident with that pot (like me 😭) anyways, and later on he is shown so be about 5 when he gets the mark, his dad used that incident as a cover up so no one would catch on and start telling others because if Muzan found out early enough the entire show would be cut into like 1 episode. So he did actually get the mark and the only ones that really knew were his dad and grandmother, his mom didn't know about this really. So that's why his Grandma told him about demons, His dad died at the young age like a lot of people- anddddddd yeah. 😀 and if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it! :D

Actually,rengoku would live,remember akaza was sent to mugen train because of tanjiro being there,i doubt akaza would pull up thus rengoku kills enmu alongside zenitsu and inosuke and the arc ends there Remember tengen would hypothetically have zenitsu and inosuke with him,maybe obanai would clutch up and easily solo the upper moon 6 Swordsmith village arc,hmm,muichiro and mitsuri would prolly do some damage and i do see infinity castle happening if muzan decides to send akaza out and nezuko conquers the sun from there,though there prolly wouldn't be as many deaths

But tanjiro didn't know about nichirin sword or about demons the night before his familys passing. Therefore he could fought and possibly won the possible fight during Muzans first encounter IF! there was no people around.

he wouldn’t become a hashira because they are only 9 spots so he would become one immediately after rengoku’s death which actually could not happened bc tanjiro would definitely help in with akaza (i’m not saying they would won bc i don’t think so they would but no one would just die) and i think he would still go to entertainment district arc bc it was his own choice not a mission so the girls wouldn’t have to go. and if he actually didn’t go to entertainment district arc he wouldn’t ho to swordsmitch village bc he wouldn’t need a new sword

Even though he had help tanjiro technically cut off upper 6's head alone by summoning his strength from his demon slayer mark. So he really should be in reserve for the hashira spot, plus tengen suggested that Tanjiro should take Tengens spot as hashira when he was talking to Obani Iguro and the end of the Entertainment district arc but the only issue is that tanjiros strength wasn't at the level of the average hashira. He is more on their level now tho in the training arc but he hasn't been given the recognition of hashira just having strength on par with them. Which is a good feature but is not official till he gets the title of hashira, but sadly he doesn't get it😓WHEN HE DESERVES IT SO BAD.

It's also heavily implied Tanjuro was born with it aswell, he also mastered selfless state and transparent world at a young age

Tanjuro was too old. And Tanjiro was already like around 10 years old when Tanjuro died. And if demon slayer with marks die at 25 Tanjuro would have been 15 when Tanjiro was born. @@fbi9833
