Germans, who had diesel in use by Kriegsmarine and by supply trucks, but who refused to put Jumo 204(very similar engine to later soviet tank diesel 6TD) on its side and cram it into Panther and Tiger to diversify their fuel supply and open up opportunity to use a few thousand more tanks without overloading logistics:
@TheArklyte there is actually enough space to put a jumo 204 inside a panzer 3 Hull (meaning you can do the same with a panzer 4). Meaning you can get a 600-750hp engine in 1 {vs the 295hp historically} and it now runs on diesel. You can also mount a kwk42 in a turret ring of 1650mm, and the panzer 3k and panzer 4 had a turret ring of 1650mm. This means if they had used junkers jumo engines the panther wouldn't even exist, as the only reason it was developed was because the panzer 3 and 4 had reached the limit of their engine power with traditional petrol engines and thus couldn't increase speed/power to weight, or armour. You would instead have a super panzer 3, or the unification project that was the panzer 3/4, but with panther levels of armour and firepower but due to being lighter and smaller with a similar engine, faster and cheaper and most importantly quicker to make. For reference it took 4000 man hours to make a panzer 3, like 1/20th the time to make a panther.

How can you simultaneously abandon Asia and over commit in Africa. Access to Asia is straight up the only reason(And foothold for Italian invasion tbh, but who cares, D day go brr) to subject yourself to hellish African warfare, it just doesnt make sense.
Gotta say that even though Asia was lost really early Soviets fought to the last man and woman. Gg to that guy he/she really made you guys sweat for it.
