if you think about it you could always interline the B to D as stated in the video but at the same time the other support lines will always have to transfer to the other line which sucks. +delays and crowding.
It really isn’t a lose for anyone if you think about it. If the B train was removed just have the D train take 5th ave express to Panthalassic Ave. Although yes you can make the argument that local trains get crowded, but you have to realize express trains get even more crowded than local service. Which is why there should be 2 express services on 5th ave, and 1 local service on 5th ave.
I don't think this would be a problem. All the stations that the B train stops at are also serviced by other lines. The PTA B is just like the real life B, a good line that helps people but only exists to provide extra convenient service. Another thing I want to say is that there wasn't a B train originally. I'm pretty sure the B was introduced in 5th avenue 1.1 or 1.2
If the B doesn't exist, I'd imagine the D could instead take its place, and instead run 24/7. E and K remain unchanged I feel like. On a side note, I can imagine this "no B service" can be a service change within PTA canonically. Like, E replaces B service and runs overnight, on weekends and/or late night.
Yeah as I noticed that the w would cut in front of Q trains so this means that Gates avenue and 53rd Street would be a 2 track stop. With N and Q now going express it would have them go more smoother and less delays would occur also R and W trains can also go either Vanderbilt Ferry or Ridgeworth Island on the local tracks.
