@Brian Nah. We are descedant from the people who invaded roman land and centuries later adapted to their culture...for some reason. We are not ethnic roman and our culture is far from 100% roman, and the hre isn't a thing, you can be a citizen of the vatican city if you want, but not of the empire, you can't be the citizen of a dead empire.
As a Catholic revert from Evangelical Protestantism (Born Again) rediscovering the Catholic faith, this video is amazingly detailed (I think only East Timor was not mentioned). Watching this video made me imagine a huge Catholic Party with Mexican food and piñatas, Filipinos singing karaokes, flamenco, samba, tango, chacha, fado, Irish whisky, French and Italian food, and so much more. All the cool cultures together. LOL.
Yusuf_Babiçi We never worship creation. We worship God. Having statues or images does not make us worshippers of them. You need to read the catechism. Your ignorance is putting yourself to shame.
drixg555 we as Catholics should only aspire to the Heavenly Kingdom where the New Jerusalem was built! And as far as our languages are concerned, in Heaven we most likely understand each other as our ancestors did before the Tower of Babel was tried to be built.
@Ashkenazi Dissident Right *Liberal* Jews promote Liberalism for Whites, and racial collectivism for non-whites, they are hypocrites. Personally, I'm fine with Israel, i'd rather if the US didn't revolve its foreign policy around them, but I think all people deserve a homeland.
@Ashkenazi Dissident Right They probably are destroying themselves, many of them fall for their own degenerate propaganda, one need only look to that Jewish actor from Friends who posted about being depressed, single and having a bed covered in cat piss, that's the reality for most middle-aged feminists, Jewish ones included. They are globalists, and globalism destroys all cultures.
I liked the video today, I am a “Catholic” by baptism and most of the sacraments however I was never confirmed, but as you asked in the census, I still consider myself catholic. Interesting also is I have done my ancestry genetics and my most recent immigration is from Slovakia 🇸🇰 and I am still part of the organization Catholic Slovak Ladies Association. I’m 45 and totally love your channel. Just wanted to share, thanks from the US🇺🇸
How could you have "most of the sacraments" if you were never confirmed? Technically, one is not considered an adult in the Church unless one is confirmed so it should not have been possible for you to marry in the Church. But then again, the Church Fathers clearly teach that nobody should receive Holy Communion before being confirmed and yet that practice was reversed in the 20th century without theological justification (aside from some dubious pastoral reasons). Obviously you can't be a priest. You could have received the graces of confession and unction.
@Child of God Romans 8:27-28 Googling the bible quote in your name, I got; _" 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God."_ _"28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."_ Yeah, it suits you very well then, saying "fuck you". Except you didn't know how to spell "you" that is. What a good Christian you must be. Turning the other cheek and everything.
@Daniel Tsiprun Don't be so sure. If there is something I have learned from reading history, it's that Christianity spews persecution, prejudice and hatred. Always has, always will.
How about Czech Republic 🇨🇿, Slovakia 🇸🇰, Slovenia 🇸🇮 are also Catholic Country too Germany 🇩🇪 is not a Catholic Country it’s a Protestant Country but in the South is dominant Catholic Culture
Thank you for your love. We love you too. I'm a Maronite from Lebanon. Stay strong in the faith that we inherited from our fathers here in the Holy Land since day one of Christianity.
Correction, Catholicism doesn't have denominations within it. It had RITES. All Rites hold to the same truths and are under the authority of the Pope. They simply have different traditions.

JoaoG R Not all Traditional Catholic are follow sedevacantism! We Traditional Catholic can NOT tolerate the liberal and modernist theology and protestanise liturgy and anti-missionary and the corruption and sexual abuse cases that rise after Vatican II because of those above!
It would never happen because alot of the territory now are either irreligious, believe in different forms of Christianity,or don't have as strong as a Catholic presence as it once did.
Yeah. I have the impression that people think Spain is considerably Catholic, but we're either irreligious, or are religious but not very practicing (except old granmas). Catholicism was the only state religion until the 70s. and this caused many people to feel resentful with the Catholic institution due to the enforcement. I'd venture than Poland, Italy, Ireland and maybe even France are more Catholic than us
@@jmiquelmb As a French guy, I can say that less than 10 percent (if not even less) of French citizen go to church every sunday. It is easier to find a practicing muslim than a practicing catholic and it is also easier to find someone who believes there is no God than someone who belives there is some kind of God. However, there is a clear disparity between the average French and the upper class French people. The more rich a French person is, the more catholic it tends to be. (edit: Also French righ-wing political figures tend to be more catholic, although they are supported a lot by average French people who are way less catholic). French people still identify as catholic due to a considerable minority of "real" catholics, and because of the legacy we got from the Christian church (this is also correlated with right-wing and far-right-wing movements getting more popular in France).
western province of california funny how all of y’alls ex colonies were forced into Catholicism in the past and now they’re all more religious than Spain is now
TheKlabim it’s ok last time Latin had any high influence was in America in the early 60’s, learning Latin doesn’t have as much of a push as it used to.
No Imperium is nominativ and akkusativ. So Imperium catholicus (Cathlic Empire/Kingdom) OR Imperium catholici (genitiv, - Empire/Kingdom of the cathlics)
Do a video on the different dialects in Italy. I’ve recently learned that northern Italian is in the same language family (western romance) as the French, Spanish, Portuguese and so on but not Southern Italian. Southern Italian is in the Italo-Dalmatian language family.
Uncle Podger true, but I guess he can do a video on the Italo-Dalmatian world combined into one country and western romance world combined into one country
In Asia don't forget the Philippines the state of Sarawak of Malaysia some parts of eastern Indonesia and Kerala of India. Love from the Philippines 🇵🇭💝
Such an empire would be so large that there would have to be regional capitals, just like the Roman Empire with, obviously, Rome or Vatican City as the spiritual capital. There would also have to be regional official languages with Latin, Greek and Syriac as the official languages of the Empire (these three being, in addition to traditional liturgical usage, used to write the inscription on Christ's Cross). As for government, Catholicism has traditionally prospered under monarchies and emperors. A name, however, would be really difficult to choose. I think a really great national anthem should be "Congaudeant Catholici" - being, "Let all Catholics rejoice together." You can find an example of this hymn here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2IxYXGfdGcQ.html
It would be split into 5 regions. The first being the Papal States, which has its capital in Rome (Rome is also the high capital of the whole empire) The second being the New Holy Roman Empire with its capital in Aachen The 3rd is the Columbian Empire, with its Capital in Santo Domingo. The 4th is the Oceanic Catholic Empire with its capital in Cebu. The 5th is the Eastern Catholic Confederacy with its capital in Caesarea Philippi.
@@carsonianthegreat4672 As a Filipino, I take delight in your hypothetical 4th region. People often forget us because of our Asian geography/culture even though we are one of the largest Catholic-majority countries on the planet.
The main reason why North-Albania is catholic is because of the geography. That region is very mountainous and the Ottomans were not able to force their religion on them because they were to independent and hidden. Nice video 👌
If Ottomans have used force to change your religion, language or culture, they could have done it in 500 years as the only super power of the world in their times. Islam is a peacefull religion and it is forbidden to change people's belifs and thoughts by usuing force. Ottomans were teocratic islamic sultanate, so they prefered giving than taking in order to make nonmuslim people love Islam. You did not became muslim because you did not see wonderfull and attractive islamic life while you were living in mountains as simple villagers
@@nurettinaslanturk6615 i said nothing against islam, but its a fact that many albanians were forced to become muslim. There is enough evidence and many diffrent cases where albanian-families were forced, even if the Koran forbids it. Of corse there were people who became muslim just to have a easier life and a life with less constraints. You have never been to the mountain side of Albania, its such a wild nature their. And these people live their whole lifes there without needing to leave their mountains (very independent) These mountains were not made for the Ottoman troops. Furthermore Albanians lived in Big Families reaching form 10-50 armed men. The ottomans saw no point in fighting them. Neither could they sanction them for beeing cathlic. You are right about the Ottomans beeing a superpower, but the Ottomans had more important things to do. For example: March to Vienna, fight uprising Rebells (which happened almost every month) and keeping the Empire together. Especially bigger familys were more likely to hold their religion. Like in my case.
@@pepperino-hotterino Those are too nationalistic commends which is not true and also not logical. In Ottoman time, some changed their religion, but some did not. Many albanians and bosnians have prefered to become muslim. You must show respect their own choices. After becoming muslim, they became also members of muslim majority in ottoman empire and they were protected from orthodox pressure
@@nurettinaslanturk6615 i am not saying that any religion is good or bad. Its just as christanity forced other people to become catholic. This is the same here. Its just a fact that muslims did force a lot of people by force or by economic/lifestyle disadvantages to become muslim. Even the current Albanian state has difficulties to fully controll this region. So did the Ottomans, i know it because i am from that region and i have been told that from my grandgranddad. There are many Families that died fighting for their religion, because they wanted to keep theirs. There are many folklores and songs that back these thesis up. Its just a fact that people were forced. Just because its written that it is a rule in the Koran to not force someones religion on someone, it doesnt mean that they fully followed that rule. It also dependet on the Pasha that reigned over that region, how he viewed the Koran. We all know that you can interpret the Koran in diffrent ways. And yeah the mayority Pashas of the Ottomans didnt force religion on the people, but in Abania thats a fact.
I'm surprised that there hasn't been a video for the East Asians, the closest we got is that one about the different ethnic groups in China but not East Asia as a whole.
he did a video too on koreans in china and imperial japan's ww2 ambitions and the ainu with siberian peoples and turkic people in china and central asia. otherwise, korea and japan aint that diverse except maybe a thousand years ago when they were and also maybe ryukyuans.
Can you do a video on the griko population of Southern Italy. These people known as griko are descendents of Greek colonizers in Italy as well as Greek refugees who fled the Ottoman invasions during late middle ages.
There is a Byzantine(Greek)-Italio-Abanian Catholic Church in Sicily and Southern Italy. It is, along with the Maronite Catholic Church in Lebanon, 2 Eastern Catholic Churches that never broke Communion with Rome. In some towns in Sicily, there is the Greek-Byzantine Catholic Church on one side of the town square and the Roman-Latin Catholic Church on the other side.
Oh wow you guys actually exist. I've seen people online from the other Eastern Catholic rites, but this is the first time I've ever heard an Armenian Catholic introduce himself/herself online. Pax Christi vobiscum! (Peace of Christ be with you, I'm a Latin Catholic)
What if all Germanic countries united into one? What if all Turkic countries united into one? What if all Slavic countries united into one? What if all Arabic countries united into one? What if all Latin countries united into one?
Hey @masaman, your work is so good ! How if you make another video of how if Catholic Europe reunited into one Holy Empire ? There could be a triumvate with Augustus from France, Caesar from Austria, and Pope. Could it be the most prosperous superpower on earth ? Largest number of gold percapita?
Stev Bad maybe southern Germany has a lot of those Amish type ppl like the Hutterites? Anyone remember that tv show? They all spoke German half the time. Maybe there’s a lot of Amish down there?? Just a guess?? Have a good friday today😁
All Catholics, together, constitute one big spiritual family. Families are messy. Big families are very messy. Sometimes, the best we can do is to remind each other that we are of one blood, the Blood of Christ... ... and try to keep the maiming and killing to a minimum... ❤️
If you celebrate Christmas, Easter and Mother's day, or the majority of the populace around your locale do so, you live in a United Christian Country. Even if the majority are protestant, the relgion of Rome has made its sovereignty known.
catholism is deffinately the majority religion in most of California especially the central valley mostly because of Mexicans but also Irish filipinos Portuguese Spanish other central americans and Italians are out here. these groups combined most deffinately outnumber the English German population.
I'm Latin rite but I've always found the Maronites fascinating. Aramaic is a closer liturgical language to Jesus than Latin. They're true Catholic warriors who have kept the faith through both the Islamic conquest and the east-west schism.
Thank you the west has forgotten about us for way too long we faught islam since the beginning and sadly we are under the influence of Syria and iran although we have great political power all of the great leaders were assassinated in the last 20 years and the remaining are puppets of Hezbollah I wish catholics were brave again
Unlike quite a few other religions, Catholicism has followers all over the world in large numbers as opposed to being concentrated in just one area (sorta living up to the name Catholic, which means universal in Latin). The Americas, Europe, Africa, China, etc. Making them all come together as one nation would indeed be a tad beyond the believable.
I wouldn't say the Roman Empire is the most important empire to ever exist. There are plenty more examples of empires that have influenced or still might influence world history in ways we are often not aware of. The fact that China unified into a single country (that didn't have to happen), the British Empire, the United States. The Mongol Empire.
Hope my german evangelic girlfriend turn catholic :) What can say to her? Please anyone help me with all the words and things you guys can say I really need help in this point of my life Greetings from Peru
This video makes no sense, are you considering the boundaries of each country, or are you considering each territory individually? because I live in a state in Brazil that is less than 50% catholic, in fact in my city catholics are around 30%. Would they be included in this so called empire?
i mean that the idea of a British Federation was a thing before WW2 but didn't happen, the idea goes that all of the colonies and settlement under the british would be given the freedom to self govern themself in exchange for something? it's been a while since I read the arctial about it
Love the video. Just to mention that the Catholic Greek island is Syros. Tinos is next to it and it's minority catholic. As many of my bros already said... Deus Vult.
I really don't understand the differences between mestizos, pardos, mulattos, etc. Here where i live (Brazil) we call people that have multiple heritages "mixed" and just that.
Kryptkin ҉ From what I understand in Brazil they use a lot more terms. In most of the Americas it is just white, mestizo, mulato, black, indigenous. And in many countries, if a person is mulato, they are just considered black.
Kryptkin ҉ this is what I understand from Brasil. Maybe you are from Santa Catarina or Rio Grande Do Sul... www.google.com/amp/s/www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/looking-in-the-cultural-mirror/201112/what-does-the-brazilian-census-tell-us-about-race%3famp
@@Sviben-ft8zi, the last verse of Hebrews 12 says, "Our God is a consuming fire". So one could argue that Christians already worship fire. On a side note, have you seen the size of the Ethiopian bonfires for Holy Rood Day (i.e. the feast of the Finding of the True Cross)?
@Tim Evans No one claims that Jesus was actually born om 25th December. What you said about the adoption of a roman holiday is correct and there's absoluely nothing wrong with it.
@Tim Evans christ was born on Dec 25th, a lot of evidence to support this, and I'd believe the first patriarchs over some guy born 2,000 years after Christ
When he says that there are people in the world that don’t go to church doesn’t mean that they are irreligious, they are just not practicing but still consider themselves Catholic
As a Pole and Catholic I'm most interested in far from Europe Catholic cultures as I don't think there's much of us left here in Europe. I'd like to meet Maronits from Lebanon and Syria, Coptists from Egypt or Catholics from Ethiopia. They live in countries where beeing Catholic could cost their life many times in the past and it still is a constant struggle. I suppose they're truly faithful and strong ppl. I'd like to visit Philippines one day. Catholicism there seems to be exotic and "out of plaxe" so to speak. And last but not least - Mexico! Stay strong! Viva Christo Rey! ❤
What's next? Atheist or Buddist Empire? I think that the quantity of Atheist is much larger than people mentioned in your questionnaire, because many people consider their religion rather as their additional national identification than as real true belief. So, the identification of the most irreligious countries is also interesting.
For the Maritime provinces of Canada it would actually be because of the Scottish, as the Highlands were still mostly catholic when most of the immigration from Scotland occurred
There also supper cool. Imagine American fighter taking down a few Wookiee’s. Also they would make excellent pets if we could domesticate them and get them be become pigmy😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
