The closes thing know to man to the Kraken is the Colossal Squid. If they find a one of those big enough then the Kraken is highly possible to exist or existed
I think I'm going to need something a bit bigger than a bang stick here. Now, if the Kraken surfaced and you could get a clean shot at its mouth with a high powered rifle it might cause it to run. Some may ask "Why on God's green earth would you have a high powered rifle on your boat?" The answer to that is... If we are made aware that a giant Kraken is not only real but is known to pull ships to their deaths...arming up is the only sensible response. In order for one to really capsize a huge shipping vessel it would have to at least partially surface. This would likely be your only chance at surviving a Kraken attack. I wonder what a .50 BMG 661gr. M-33 ball full metal jacket round would do to a Kraken? My guess at the very least this beast is going to reconstruct its life choices after interfering with another human vessel (if it's smart).

@@yuncakes Not to be rude,but many Chinese people treat tourists or immigrants pretty badly.There was also one instance where a Chinese guy was criticising Indians for shitting of the streets(which is very very uncommon and is basically unheard of in many parts of the country) and when an Indian responded by calling him a 'bat-eating corona spreader',he was pissed as hell and started to respond with curse words.Why criticize if you can't handle the hate?Don't get me wrong,I support you here because what these people are doing is wrong,but still....

I have a fun fact about this! So there’s a tiny place in Norway called Andenes. Andenes has a very big population of whales (like the whale safari boats have a 100% guarantee of seeing whales), so marine biologists constantly study the marine life there. Whales will often wash up on the shore, and will sometimes have giant suction marks on their bodies that are the size of 1/3 to 1/2 of their bodies, so marine biologists hypothesize that there is a giant octopus living deep down in the sea there and that this giant creature, or a distant cousin of it, is what fishermen have described seeing as “the kraken”. They have tried to attach cameras to the whales, but they never stay on or they just shut down when the whale reaches a certain depth. Just thought this was an interesting fact to share even tho I’m a year late
@Kris De Roo yes although the giant squid are huge and are the only real predator to the whales there is still a huge amount of the seas and oceans deep down (where the giant squid like to live) which is still too deep for us to explore and so it's likely that there are many different species of marine life and perhaps a bigger squid like creature isn't that implausible. Also maybe the whales that had suction marks on them which were about 1/3 of their body size were perhaps not fully grown 🤯💁💁
@Kris De Roo so what is your hypothesis for the giant suction marks found on these whales then?? Seeing as you seem to know everything about marine life and make it sound like you have studied every sea life creature. Your expert opinion would be very interesting and would help clear up the "ridiculous" ideas that people are just suggesting. Please, do enlighten us...
There are so many things that we humans dont know about. And besides if there was a unknown creature living on earth, like the kraken. I suggest we just leave it alone. The myth is just a myth. Even if the kraken is real, we don't even know what it could be capable and of course we don't even know that perhaps the kraken is protecting us from something.
@@shreyasbollu4316 Look at the heads of Sperm whales... Nearly all of them got massive wounds on their head that are definitely from tentacles. Most likely really massive squids. Some of them are speculated to be big enough that they fit the legend of a Kraken... and the Sperm whales hunt them deep deep down the ocean so it could very well be that we never saw a truly massive and big squid...
I disagree that sea travel wouldn’t be possible with the presence of a kraken, just because there’d be the presence of a titanically large predator doesn’t necessarily mean everyone who sailed by their territory would automatically be eaten, and in fact the kraken could also explain the mysterious disappearances of many ships. Furthermore the ocean has proven time and again to be the ideal place for Giant species as a) the pull of gravity is less, and b) there’s no shortage sufficiently sized prey for massive predatory species.
The ship being pulled down part. You also have to take into account that the Kracken would probably be breaking apart the ship as it pulled, which would cause water to flood into the interior of the ship. That means that the amount of force needed would probably be lower.
