I honestly forget why I didn’t finish the old versions of this story. Third times a charm, at least this one actually got finished lol. Hope you enjoy!
Could you continue what if humans got zenkais? I know this was the combination but i really liked how Nappa and Dendes brother were being handled. It was my personal favorite what if so im biased
Yamcha is Baba's missing fighter. She has a vampire, mummy, invisible man, a devil and Grampa Gohan counts as a ghost. All she needs to complete the set is a Wolfman.
I once saw someone saying they headcanon Man-wolf (from the 22nd tournament arc) as one of Baba's crew. Unfortunately, I don't remember where I saw the person who had this idea.
This is probably my favorite what if scenario created lately. Tien getting his potential unlocked and creating the 100 witches technique. Yamcha getting a beastly transformation to keep him relevant. Chi-Chi actually staying with the Z warriors power level. It just makes it so great. Also Piccolo having Kaioken would have made so much more sense in the canon show.
It never made sense to me why Picclo just meditates on his own instead of taking advantage of the chance to train with King Kai, or why no one who did train with him showed any results later.
Goku: "Is he actually four? Cuz WOW I did that same thing when I was his age with this evil namekian!" Somewhere in the midst of space Lord Slug *sneezes*
Can we just talk about how at the final part Tien put together a super Op team based off the situation, like my guy is hands down a pure strategic genius
I loved that part. "This Moro, what can he do?" "Well, he uses magic and can absorb energy." "Oh, that's easy. I got a couple of friends (and Vegeta) that can help."
@@zeeshanismail7768 yamcha dosent know love anymore so hes gonna beat them guys who think love is ognna stop him im reffering to when his girl litrally had a child with the guy that killed him and the BOIS
43:13 I can imagine Frieza's reaction: "T-Two super Saiyans! And some kind of... Super... Earthling!? No no no, this must be some sort of nightmare! This can't be real!"
Just changing chi-chi alone would 1000% change the history of all DB lore, and for the better imo, ill be waiting for the day someone makes a fanmade series with chi-chi being a badass mother and fighter.
It sucks that humans are given short end of the stick when it comes to training and growing stronger, and getting too overshadowed by Saiyans, aliens and godly beings.
In the dbs broly movie, broly was said to be pure of heart two times. The first time was when cheelai and lemo heard broly talk about his childhood, and the second time was when Gogeta used the Stardust Breaker/Soul Punisher on Broly as we see the next scene. Broly was unharmed from it, showing us that Broly was pure of heart.
I always thought it would have been interesting if each of the z warriors had set up their own animal themed schools. Each with their own unique and interesting techniques. Turtle and Crane already exist, Yamcha is always going on about wolves, and eventually we discover that Tien has started a school but we got very few details on it. So maybe Yamcha should have started the wolf school, maybe Tien's school should be the heron, swan, or phoenix, Krillin could have been the badger, tiger or the Fu, and Chiaotzu the Quail, Dove or Owl. I think the 4 of them not becoming masters themselves was a greatly missed opportunity.
there is so much about this I really like. from the different forms for everyone, to the fact that this makes the world a lot less Goku-centric. but one of the smaller details that I really enjoy is the fact that we actually have a main fighter who uses magic... since the magic of the DBZ world is either ignored or used by the villains mostly. and add onto that the fact the mage of the group is Tien which is great since he gets ignored so often in the main story
Nobody has any idea why this isn't how the series actually went. I'm talking about THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN SO HYPE if I was still a kid. I mean this has so much potential on its own. Imagine if this was really how the series was. Finding out about all these powers and the training arcs! I'd gladly rewaatch this on toonami
This was one of my favorite what if scenarios. the way you gave the humans unique forms and helped them keep up with them. Side note: I am looking forward to seeing Alpha Yamcha and the other forms in future what ifs.
The worst part is there's no such thing as an Alpha wolf... Yep, this is perfect for Yamcha, he probably heard the word on the Internet and it's false association with Wolves and decided it was the perfect name for his form cause to him, super cool. Little did the poor goof know...
@@0r4nI wouldn't say cringe but definitely something Yamcha would call it. Couldn't call it Beast Yamcha. I honestly would have called it Wolf Spirit Yamcha. Since Yamcha focused on using spirit energy it would make sense. At least it makes sense to me. :p
@@war_axe multi form splits his power in half, but fusion is one power multiplied by the other so it wouldn’t be useless. not as useful if it was with someone else, but good enough for a boost for one person
we don’t actually know if the fusion dance multiplies their powers exactly, but we do know it’s at minimum, a higher boost than simply adding power levels together. multi form divides power level of the one being split in 2. so if those two fuse, it’ll at least be stronger than the original no matter what. of course, that’s assuming the fusion even works instead of just merging the two back together
@@TohuBohuC the key is that the fusion dance multiplies your power exponentially while multiform only divides your power by half. it's completely feasible imo
@@xygo6038 wait is it a steady thing? I've always heard his immortality is one and done. So he permanently lives forever, barring being killed of course
Ideas for different kind of Zenkai boost. Saiyans: the closer to dying they get the further their limit break goes. but they must get hurt for it to work at all. (I think that's how it goes in dragon ball) Humans: when they are in a stressful situation their limit goes further. Then they just have to train to reach it. but they must have down time in between or the return of the stress diminish. Namekians: their regeneration make their body stronger when guided by their mind. but it require the knowledge of what is needed to be improved specifically.
Love the "Stress based Zenkai" for humans. Reminds me of the Darkest Dungeon stress system, when they reach their limit they have a chance to develop a virtue, becoming a diamond under all the pressure instead of crumbing appart, this giving them a great boost in their habilities but they can't push themselves too far or their body won't be able to handle it. great ideas mate
Technically humans do have a stress-based limit remover: adrenaline. It could be that a trained body and mind could harness the boost adrenaline grants, making that stronger state the new base.
This is really cool. I wouldn't be watching a video like this to begin with if I didn't enjoy the actual show, but the whole "If you're not a Saiyan, you're crap." thing has definitely been one of the more tiresome aspects of the franchise from Z onward. I love that this is an actual ensemble, and I love that almost everyone got a unique way to get stronger and stay relevant. Definitely love the treatment that Yamcha got. Not only did he escape becoming a joke, his niche actually harkens back to his original presentation. Thanks, that was a lot of fun to watch!
The thing is that the human z fighers seemed to be on the path of being relevant until the android arc. They actually managed to catch up to the likes of raditz's power level within a year through training alone. Meaning, they had entirely surpassed goku and piccolo individually by the time the saiyans arrive. I think that's insane. It sucks toriyama discarded them...
They are overpowered all in different ways Unique and potent And since you saw their journey from basic to BADASS You love the more Especially comparing it to the canon Since nobody but the main characters get the good stuff
I love the concept with roshi just think about it now he's basically the mortal Kombat Raiden equivalent to this world he can train Earth's defenders forever
59:36 Tien probably has every type of technique known to Dragonball Cannon by now, psychokinetic moves, Ki moves, Magic moves, reinforcement type moves, blast time moves, melee, teleportation, fusion, evasion, creation, destruction (not _that_ type) he has it all... Except Kaioken. Granted, most of them are probably near useless as I'm sure a lot of people had mostly useless techniques that were at least quick enough to master that it wouldn't hurt to learn, like the clothes beam piccolo has, not exactly good in battle but a nice utility move to make life easier.
Tbh Majin Vegeta could’ve become a thing. Vegeta could’ve probably just came by time to time to check the situation on earth to see if anything was happening or has happened.
I absolutely love this series. The old What If Roshi Wished For Youth story is one of my favorites along with some others, including What If Chi-Chi Became A Saiyan and What If The Humans Became Androids.
its really cool seeing all the new forms but I cant help but giggle at hearing about a full power cell getting dogged on by the z fighters and everyones like "ayo let me jump in I want to fight too" like he was already probably gonna lose with piccolo, yamcha and roshi, more people just keep coming in to wait for their turn lol
I actually think that prior to the namek saga. A lot of the fighters saw a comparable amount of growth to goku. But the major difference was the mindset and how much they were willing to push themselves( and ancient alien prophecy, but let’s ignore that for now). I don’t think everyone worked as hard as goku did to achieve the power they got. Like how krillin admitted that he gets scared by villains in super, causing him to flee or let someone else take care of it, or how Yamaha has no interest in training. Piccolo is training but he’s always been relavent, and if we ignore forms, then he would be on somewhat equal footing
I love the idea of gohans rage boost/beast form coming from chichis blood. Shes always getting mad and her dad is the OX king so having a beast form makes sense.. the power of the ox
The concept of Beast Gohan is really interesting. It's clearly not just another level of SS, but it works much the same way, just with an absolutely insane multiplier. Furthermore, we know from the canon events that at least one rare form of SS exists that both Broly and his universe 6 rule 63 counterpart have access to. Now onto the topic of humans. Of course we've all heard IRL stories of mothers lifting cars/trucks off their children after unfortunate accidents gaining seemingly impossible strength for a brief moment to try and save their progeny. There are similar stories of situations where otherwise unimpressive people perform feats of strength that surpass logic. We know that this is because we as humans don't use our full strength pretty much most of the time, as the strain on our bodies would be too great. Adrenaline and the rage that often accompanies it break through our normal limits on using it, though the toll on our bodies is intense. Though it has never been officially confirmed by Toriyama or anyone else high up in the Dragon Ball canon decision-making hierarchy, but what if Beast is just an extension of that? Since SS already has an exceedingly rare variant in whatever they're officially calling the Broly type these days, I remember when it was LSS but haven't kept up on everything. What I'm suggesting is that Yamcha's transformation in this "What If" AU could be something like Broly's SS, but applied to Beast rather than SS, losing some of the general boost to specialize more like a particular animal the user has a connection with. Obviously in Yamcha's case that'd be a wolf, but this variant of Beast could apply to almost any other animal depending on who else unlocked it. Could definitely see Krillin in the future of this AU unlocking a turtle-like variation that massively boosts his ability to tank hits without really affecting his offense except for maybe a slight increase.
Depends on the child birth ig. I imagine birth complications that they end up recovering from would have that intended effect, but normal childbirth wouldn't
2:58 for Master Roshi I thought you were going to go into the pseudo Ultra Instinct thing for him; being a very smart defensive fighter with UI-lite abilities.
Was a bit disappointed that Chi-Chi didn’t take part in the tournament of power until she got her beast form with Gohan, didn’t expect that. Yamcha and Tien’s forms are awesome but ultra instinct Roshi really takes the cake
Glad I saw this comment so I could stop watching Yamcha suddenly getting a wolf transformation and then somehow chi chi can get beast form is stupid as hell
@@JtheBOSS There is no reason chichi wouldn;t have such a form as it isn't race specific and the idea of Gohan's incredible potential being inherited from his mother rather than his father is cool. I do wish there was more explanation for Yamcha's though.
No one asked but I absolutely LOVE the idea of Zenkai boosts, it rewards actually fighting, since fighting is basically just training but way more dangerous.
41:50 I was like "yamcha now goes super saiyan and solos frieza smh" and then after that, my man actually gave yamcha a transformation that was kinda beating up frieza, i swear i literally died because i called that XD
An idea I would have liked would have been the Z fighters as a whole learning and mastering spirit control like they all have flight and ki blasts, with Yamcha in particular excelling at it as he envisions his spirit as a fierce wolf that has been fighting alongside him all this time. Learning to manifest his aura into wolf-like claws and fangs he gains an equivelent of a transformation signifigantly strengthening his physical attacks and later on could either manifest it as an etirey seperate stand-like entity or fuse the projection into his body to acheive a far more powerful physical wolf-like transformation.
I love the thumbnails you make for the full stories. They are SO GOOD! Sometimes even after I’ve watched the whole story I click on these just because it looks so cool 😂
Yajirobe is OP. Of he trained like them he would easily be the stongest human and maybe on par with piccolo. He does zero training and was still able to keep up with them at the beginning. He would still be overshadowed bur he would be the strongest human.
I mean, you aren't wrong, pretty sure he was as strong as the other humans in the Saiyan Saga, who had been training basically their entire lives. This means that with just a little training, as early on in the story as the Saiyan Saga, he surpassed Raditz's power level.
Absolutely phenomenal, love the way you did this what if scenerio. The name for Yamchas form "Alpha" got a chuckle out of me, but it definitely is fitting. My only gripe is how Yamcha and bulna didn't have kids so no new characters came about but still very very good. This is probably my favorite what if video ive seen so far (and funnily enough its my first watch from your content) definitely gonna check out some of your other vids.
Can we just talk about how at the final part Tien put together a super Op team based off the situation, like my guy is hands down a pure strategic genius
This is definitely one of my favorite scenarios, probably not far off from What If Goku Was Evil in terms of creative liberties and unique additions. I will also never get over Vegeta's pro gamer move of teleporting the Androids in front of the Spirit Bomb.
51:20 I assume Bulma's still at the check in station trying to comprehend the fact that she infact is dead, cause it all happened so fast. Unlike everyone else who died out, she just was there one minute, bright flash and next thing she knew, surrounded by bright yellow clouds at a strange castle place. probably unaware she was insta-vaporized until it's explained at the check-in station.
Honestly that’s how most people die in DBZ, one moment they’re minding their own business then some super powerful being flicks their finger and they’re suddenly in line with everyone else in the city.
Would have LOVED for Chi-Chi to get more of an arc leading up to her beast mode beyond “don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about her,” because it didn’t feel earned in the slightest. THAT SAID, there were a LOT of moving parts to this series, and giving everyone the spotlight while still keeping each part in a reasonable length is a challenge. Overall, this was a really interesting take on this concept. I’d love to see how others handle it and how they’d give different folks the spotlight.
One thing I thought of for the Frieza Saga portion of this story is that instead of Gohan turning ssj with Goku and Alpha Yamcha, you could make it so that it’s only the members of the turtle school (Goku, Krillin, Yamcha) who transformed into their evolved forms. I feel like it would make more sense for the students flashing up with anger for their fallen teacher instead of Gohan.
Interesting thought... what do you think Captain Ginyu originally looked like? Like what if one of his previous bodies was Recoome or something? He just subdued him and made him swear fealty. Also, is Recoome human or what? I feel like a Ginyu back story would be pretty interesting. These what if stories got my imagination running full tilt
This is one of the best What If scenarios I've seen yet, especially since we get to see Yamcha evolve in a way we never thought possible! Outstanding job!
i want to point out that with the kioken, sayans to have an advantage with it tearing their bodies apart. thats not a bad thing for them because when they get messed up badly they increase in power. the kioken allows them to instigate that themselves during just training.
@@LloydTheZephyrian you know that might be the case. cant say i know. though biologically that would really make no sense, damage is damage after all. but i dont know enough to dispute that in universe. lol. but if ture. just means they really do need to all get together. and go spend 3 years together in the hypersonic lion tamer (room of spirit and time or hyperbolic time chamber) go in there with 3 dozen senzu beans each, and damn near kill each other once a month.
@@KagaiYamiFrom the Dragonball Wiki: "This power allows a Saiyan to recover from harm in relatively short periods of time. During which, the Saiyan will imprint on the injuries and/or experiences and instantly learn from it. As it does, their minds and body adapt to the said struggles, allowing their instinctual methods and natural resistance to noticeably improve, which also increases their physical might and general efficiency as they recover, thereby lessening the chances of the problem happening again. " The Zenkai is a result of a Saiyan's body adapting to and subconsciously learning from injuries. Despite Vegeta's claims that it doesn't work with self inflicted injury Goku's training under intense gravity is revealed in the manga to push him repeatedly to near death and activate this ability. So yeah, self inflicted damage does work, but considering that it is adjustment and learning there is probably a limit from how much growth you would gain from the same source. Injuring yourself would no longer work past a certain point unless you do so in very different ways as Goku would have in his gravity training. Even then there are likely diminishing returns. You would grow a lot more and a lot faster from fighting and getting injured by a lot of opponents, the larger the variety the better.
As someone who has always loved Yamcha, I LOVE what you did with him. Essentially being a werewolf is so thematic for him. I love how the others worked too, but like I said as a Yamcha lover, his is just the best
Perfect direction for this story. If there are more arcs after this, I'd love to see a continuation. Honestly, this is superior to the original story in my book.
Probably my most favorite since it give’s almost everyone something unique and well written hope the next what if series is your version if Napa survived but in your way instead of masako
Missed opportunity: not so nice piccolo could have injured himself as Ginyu before switching bodies. An ironic twist that wouldn't change much, but say a lot about piccolo's strategy and character during that time
