I would've expected titan tvman to connect his wires and figure out that it was an attack plan from the very obvious ground shaking while a titan drillman is on the go
Yes but it's funny that he has a Jetpack but doesn't use it. This is similar to Titan Drillman's Battle IQ being increased, while Titan TV Man's Battle IQ and reflexes being decreased.

TDM using his brain and going under the beam as well as taking advantage of the fact he can go underground is absolutely brilliant. I always felt that he should’ve used the ability in battle more often since after he upgraded

Keep in mind that titan tv is still overwhelmed from receiving and returning so much energy, and since he is trusting, he probably thought that titan drill was gone and did not wait for the attack from the ground.

For people saying uttm will teleport, he can't as it takes enough time for utdm to start drilling the core and with utdm touching uttm they would teleport together so uttm can't teleport.
Titan TV Man is the smartest of all titans, he would have guessed for sure that titan drill man can dig fast, and the sounds from the ground are exactly titan drill man and titan TV Man could just fly away from the place where titan drill man dug a hole, and eventually escape
