To be fair - when the OG impulse hit the market, they didn’t even work worth a damn unless you had things like the tapeworm and lpr mods.

Not sure about the $600-$700 range for a mid-range poppet. Right now the LV2 isn't selling that well and they are soon to be announcing a MSRP price decrease on them, as well as the used market has tanked on them and you can snag a used LV2 for $800-$900. Hell even used LV1.6's are going for $600-$700 and I can only image whatever they come out with brand new in that price tier would be equivalent or less features. I feel like you'd really need to be in the range of $400-$500 for a new poppet to make waves on the scene. Essentially a poppet to the equivalent market of their Etha 3.

Dye is knocking it out of the park, with what they are coming out with PE does what PE does.. and they continue to be on top. But what we need is a new intimidator I love my LV2 but it is big and heavy I need a small light smooth quiet intimidator

Bob Long Milling for sure (Species and Dragon were my favorite), RL Shocker had great milling too, G7R or new Timmy, clear hoppers would be fun, and oh yea bring back uncapped semi or 15.5bps ramp! Love the content

JT: I feel you on the clears re-release. From what I've heard of the triad, yeah I'll take a Revey over that lol. If they want to do a hopper why not a mid/low end. The HK Sonic is honestly moping the floor with even some high end hoppers.

Bought an NXT shocker and rebuilt it just because I missed how well they shoot. Don't forget about the Nerve from Smart Parts. 100% would but a modern Timmy also.

Funny you bring the pm line up. I had a PM8 back in the day and I would put that against some of the best today. Maybe i had a one off, but that thing ran flawlessly and shot lasers all day across the field. Wish I still had it.

More poppets indeed. I've always tended to like spool valves because of the smooth quiet shot, but there's something great about the rawness of a poppet. Been waiting on a G7r for ever.

I’ve never understood the obsession with clear proflexes. I thought they looked stupid 20 years ago when my teammates had them and I still think they’re ugly.

PE: Etek6 would be awesome! I'm not even a pop-it guy and I love my Etek4 and miss Etek5 (sold it to hook up a homie). Personally ide like to just see the price on the etha3 drop $100. You can get a used Etha2 for half the 3's cost and it's basically the same.

I wish that paintball would make a comeback push in my area! Not much going on in this market for ball. Still got my markers tho! 05 E-2’d Orracle and my trusty 05 Lasoya Timmy with Infamous board. Dye: I want to see an updated contender for entry level guns. Basically the Rize2. Update the foregrip and make it hoseless but keep that dye asthetic. Maybe a little more toolless. Just modernize it but keep it at like 450.

make the etha 3 NOT cost $600 new. worst mistake ever. should have just listened to your earlier advice and searched fb marketplace for an older high end. The Etha 3 is a really good marker but seriously. the price! Doggonit!

I always loved my Eteks. I stopped playing seriously around the 2014 time, so I blame myself for those dropping out.

JT also needs to come out with a new updated version of the jt impulse. Valken needs to come out with an updated version of the vsl loader and proton marker.

Nothing beats the poppet efficiency. I run the JT Impulse here and there and it shots more consistently than anyone marker I own

If PE did a Etek that was hose less with a nylon frame that would be dope. Should be easy, hopefully Jack could also work on its sound signature as well…Eteks are good but you definitely hear em bark😂

I just bought a G6R a month ago ! Easily becoming one of my favorite markers. Spent a pretty penny for it too

I still use a Gen 4 Infamous Timmy when I play and it keeps up and does better than some newer stuff out there. Also they NEED a new Impulse, I love my old giant Imp, thing rips and is a ton of fun. I feel like the thing that's wrong with paintball right now is that there isn't anything for the mid-level players. It's either entry level or tournament level.

Favorite marker I ever owned was my pm6 that I shot all of 2007-08 season

If I was to take over one of the big players in the industry, I would be analyzing the demographics that the industry wants to bring into the sport, and investing heavily in things that those demographics are engaging with. The data's all there! New guns are cool too, but there's so much money and growth being left on the table by the big players who will never fully capture their target demographics without first meeting them where they already are. Edit: seeing Gel Blaster get involved however is a great start.

FOP: Nucleus bolt should have been incorporated into mid and low end SKUs. They should have wrapped up their engagement into a closed users group. Hoseless g6r with milling patterns. Smart Parts: they don’t need to exist anymore Planet: make a Vice-like little poppet gun that’s cheap that stops following the LV. Follow with a Geo 5 that’s a little IV core gun.

I was just thinking the other day if planet eclipse basically re released the Geo 4 but with the same volume and operating pressure as the 3.5 for the IV Core it would be a home run. When they increased the volume and lowered the pressure for the CS1 it was objectively a better performing system, but lost the character that made the IV so loved

Agree with the G6R, we need a new one! And custom milling, so done with all these "printed" guns. As for technology, make a poppet valve gun with a modern MQ-valve. With the electronics we have now, you could swith it from open to closed bolt with the touch of a button. Use a linear actuator to move the bolt. you could control bolt speed, how fast it starts/stops,... No more using air to move the bolt. Efficiency would go through the roof. Power the thing of some 18650 li-ion cells! Money! And some more crazy stuff like that...

DYE: -Re-release the i3 pro. -Give us M3+ ergos with a DSR arc bolt shot, ditch the outdated giant screen that isn't durable or user friendly. Also your boards should have USB-C by now, what's with the micro USB stuff. -LTR 2.0 with the larger opening & quick change lid. Like the R2 has, without all the gimmicky crap. Bonus points if you can make it lighter while retaining the durability rotors are known for.

Idk I like hoses it just let me get to my reg faster and easier to diagnose a leak (not saying hose less is bad) and I like a compact gun that’s at least 2.5 pounds like the OG axe, also I kinda want bigger guns again like the older intimidator which has that compact feel like the g6r

I just want Dye to make a gun that has a full Dyecam colorway again. None of this half Dyecam half black garbage. Also, they should make different color options for the DSR+ grips. The marker is so successful, if you make different grip colors available they will never be able to sell enough.

They could just redesign a new shell to fit halo internals that is much easier to maintain (easier and less brittle than the halo where the front came off)

None of these companies make a pump marker. The best pump I've found is a company that currently owns the phantom name. They're still making the old design with the old phantom barrel threads so I can't use my pile of high quality barrels in cocker threads. I see the companies investing in mech, but I'm just watching pump guns go away

I actually felt bad for that gun, I think it was released in 04, the same year that the sft's had the bounce beam eyes added, and the nerve was supposed to be smart Parts high-end markers and it was overshadowed by the success of the sft so badly that I don't remember the nerve continuing after the first generation that was released in 2004. I wonder what a hypothetical 2024 incarnation of the nerve would look like LOL

I will rock my Adrenaline impulse until the day I can't play paintball anymore in 20 years that marker has not let me down during a day of play. I mean I have other markers now but if DLX/Sp makes a new impulse and specifically if Adrenaline gets their hands on a release for it I'll be hard pressed to not grab one. You could kind of consider the nerve a next gen impulse as well and honestly they were good markers too that never got a lot of traction at the time then that hoseless impulse which predates the JT one it just got released at a bad time what like 6 months to a year before smart parts went through bankruptcy and sold the intellectual property to JT. I wonder if at this point if naming rights would have expired and they could use it again or if they will have to use nerve or something new. I agree aswell g7r its about time for I love my Dark Alias never owned a timmy past that point every week I get tempted by some flashy used g6r and keep reminding myself they have to make a g7r Timmy sometimes right don't they?
