Hi Kim. Yea, I think this is what's called a land caddisfly larvae. Most are aquatic, but there is one that lives on land. They used a spun silk, and gathered objects to make a protective portable case. I see them on my land in Texas.

I thought it might be one of those bugs that looks like a thorn but its got no legs, its a worm. So yeah I bet you're right about the larvae. It is kinda gross...👍💛🙏❤️
I couldn't get it to record very clear bc of the container. But, it has a lot of tiny little legs. One of the weirdest things I've seen. Thought it was a kind of snail, until I saw it come out! 😯
