Hey George, Thanks for the article. Can you please enlighten us on how Data Owner is different from Data Steward (DDS and DDC). How the organizations gives opportunity to same person to perform multiple roles and take responsibilities.
Data Steward - the person who does all the work. Data Owner - the manager who takes credit and goes to all the meetings and workshops. 😁 Don't forget there is also Data Product Owner who is different from Data Owner. My belief is that there is no fixed definition for these roles.
Hey George! Really useful and clear explanation. As the Data Domain can have more than one Data Steward, can be that the 5 roles are "distributed" in the entire Data Steward Team?

I think knowing something like Tableau/ PowerBI could prove useful. Then it depends on what data catalog and data governance/ management tool the organization has.
