I’m sure I will….but as far as a scale copter goes it looks amazing in my opinion, lots of detail which for me makes up for a lot, I’m very new to this, I just want to fly and have fun….take care and keep sending the videos

yes yes... it can be scary during maidens! i did lose an RC plane on its maiden so i know how it feels. but i did in my panic lock the motor instead of switching the flight mode back to auto when i flew manual, and hence this repair that is happening now. haha

Yes the Insta360 GO 2 camera is "light enough" for this heli. Initially I thought it would throw the balance off but it wasn't that bad.

Yes I'm a novice when it comes to RC helicopters and like you said, I thought this was a good one to learn flying manual in but then again, it's more like flying a drone with a helicopter body... anyway who cares as long as we are enjoying it right? @@uncleraymond I will watch the other video as well! I love to fly manual controlled helis now. But I had to take some costly crashes, buy many new parts and for sure it was not always big fun! Good that people nowerdays have the choice to go their own way! Enjoy and happy flights! The most important is that we enjoy what we do! You are right!

@@RCCopterLove-helis4ever You got that spot on! I’m hoping to get a 450-sized MD500 but will have a GPS in it and manual options. But first, I’d have to repair the F09-S and continue practicing on flying that before my next big purchase. You enjoy your flights too!

yep. the camera isnt very high quality to begin with and the vibrations didnt help. not so sure about the screen but i'm not that into flying fpv so i didnt bother. if i want footage i'd just stick my Insta360 GO 2 on it!

Yes. At this price, you're basically paying for its scale details and also the GPS, which is kind of ok for a novice like me. I will perhaps in the near future spend another couple of hundreds on top of this to get a 450 or 500 size heli, with the GPS of course! I'm not into 3D flying though, more interested in scale.

Ha ha i did aswell,first flight took off and it went backwards into the house broke the rotor blades,thank god for spares

Thank you for the kind comment and support! Yes it is expensive but I wanted to start with something “smaller” and more manageable. The FW Huey is more expensive than this though. I do plan to get a 450 size MD500 soon…

Buy something else. Like the huey. This helicopter is trash

@@rolex0071 turns out that there are quite a few with problems. but mine has a faulty gps module. takes about 30 minutes to get a lock and when it does it's spotty at best. found a forum when trying to look for a solution. and some have faulty optical flow sensors. others have faulty gps modules. with faulty i mean that on tha forum one guy had a crash after his helicopter went out of control in optical flow mode. it was hovering still and all of a sudden. pure chaos. for me with the gps it's impossible to get a signal in my yard except for one tiny area of 2 feet by 2 feet. where i can get it connected to up to 10 sattalites. but still flashing so not cleared for flight. (if i take 1 step it drops down to 3 or 4 sattalites) i later went outside of the city to a big open clearing. it took 15 minutes to get 6 sattalites connected and it went solid green. i try to fly, and it does fine for a minute or so. then i think it lost connection with gps and i had to really really fight it. nearly missed my car and my legs. and managed to finally get it to stop being stuck in a vortex. get some hight and use the auto landing feature. wich itself was acting terrifying untill it got close enoegh for the optical flow sensor. now i was afraid this was just going to be a problem with my location. but on the same forum someone else had 2 helicopters. one of them got full sattalite connection in about 1 minute. while his other one was like mine. took 20 to 30 minutes to get spotty gps signal at best. my conclusion is that it has poor quality control. maybe poor solder joints. maybe just actually faulty chips. who knows. i hope i can mcguyver an antenna to improve my signal. otherwise i am going to have to replace the entire control board. in any case it seems to be rare to have a fully functioning one. because other than the few of us with near crashes. alot of others were complaining about the position hold of either gps or optical flow. not to mention you aren't flying the helicopter. you are basicly politely asking it to go where you want it to go. wich is terrifying when it goes out of control.

@@rolex0071 if you really need gps. get the UH-1 the huey. it sounds so damn good. otherwise get the f09 (no s) the blackhawk. it has full 3d acrobatic flight.

I haven’t tried it but it should be ok because in manual mode the responses are quite good. I will try that once I get mine repaired!

Yeah... this is more for noobs like me who's starting out and wants RTF. Technically you could build something better yourself for that price if you have the know-how.

Hi! So far I haven't had issues with getting a GPS lock, especially when I'm flying at an open space. Considering how satellite signals can be sketchy around an urban landscape like Singapore, I'd say the F09-S has been so good so far. Oh yes if you're into 3D flights, then yes, you'd probably be better off with a Flywing F450 or one of those OMPHOBBY kits.

@@uncleraymond i found a big open space outside of the city. sat it ontop of my car for 10 minutes and had 2 sattalites. set it on the ground for 15 minutes and it had 6 sattalites and cleared itself for flight. took off and it flew nice for a little bit. noticed it acting weird when ever i turn it. (tried to turn in place and it just drifts sideways) untill it started freaking out. could barely steer it past my car. almost hit my leg. few more circles around me. barely managed to get it back under control landed and just went home. earlyer at home trying to test it. i got up to 10 sattalites maybe even 12 at one point. and it wouldn't even clear itself for flight. (also only had those satalites in one tiny specific spot in my yard.) it flies nicely when not using gps. using the bottom sensor it's able to stay in place above grass and i can let go of the controller to film. maybe the netherlands just isn't a place to do this. even though one would expect the big flat country would be great for this. in any case i severely regret buying this thing. they didn't even bother PID tuning the tail rotor propperly for doing the circle. that's an absolutely horrible sound that the tail rotor makes.

@@uncleraymond so unless there are gps modules available that i can replace, this thing has been a waste of my money. because it cannot do the 3d acrobatic flights that the f09 can do. technicly that's the heli i really wanted. don't get me wrong. i love the things that it CAN do. but mine is just a defective unit. and 600 dollars wasn't a good price for a show model.

@@darkracer1252 I feel you. Sometimes we do get “lemons” like these. I remember watching another RC RU-vidr’s maiden on a Flywing Huey, crashing after taking off and it was due to the tail rotor being installed in the reverse direction from factory. Sometimes things like these happen. But we can take pride and joy in the fact that we can diagnose and fix the issues, which is half the fun in this hobby isn’t it? Anyway I wish you well brother and hope your other RCs go well!
