Funny I had a grand cru comparable to Veve Cliequot and wasn't impressed. I do not remember the name of the brand it was suggested to me while in the store I was purchasing my wine.

Verve is a house style made similarly year in year out to please the masses... a grand cru has a unique individual style, specific to site.
