Because this databese self is too simply an NOBODY will use it . They complet forget implement something like classes . Therefore are Selects and also other queries sooooo complicated , like HELL👹👹👹👹👹👹😈😈😈😈. And nobody can real use it , will use it . 🤢🤮🤧🥵😭😭☹☹☹☹😭😭😭😠
This was the first video I ever watched about graph DBS and I already feel like a know a lot. thank you so much, great explanation. keep up the good work
Thanks a bunch for your intro to this subject. I've been looking to get into graph databases for a while and your eco system really helps us to make the task a lot easier to digest. Cheers !
I have a use case for a graph database at my job so I was tasked to research them. Your video made it so easy to digest and understand and I get why people who use them are so hyped about them now.
Wow, this might be the greatest “tech talk/lesson” I’ve ever listened to! Your energy, presentation, and excitement for the subject was just what I needed. Can we go back in time and you teach all my university computer engineering classes? Stellar job! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
a friend introduced me to Neo4j today. Yours is a Great introduction to neo4j, will try it out. Also you are a good artist, as I can see some of your arts in background.
That's good, pretty good to have a quick overview of what this is about. I just saw it mentioned in a project about digital twins and thought I wanted to learn more about it. Thanks for the video and anergy.
Hi Karin; nice to see you here. Great explanation. It seems that you are trying to say somethng that I "feel"... A set of aparently independent graphic sets, each one describing an independent scenario can drive us to discover hidden connections (not explicitely defined in the models) between nodes on those sets. IE. Suppose you have three graphs sets: 1) representing a school; 2) other representing a family; 3) a 3rd graph representing a hospital. You can have explicit relations of: 1) pupil/teacher; 2) son (one of the school pupils)/father; 3) doctor/patient. But inthe family graph the pupis father has two properties to inform profession = doctor & workplace = (that) hospital. In this case we have a hidden relation bettween the school - hospital graph sets using the relationS IS_PUPIL|IS_TEACHER and IS_PATIENT|IS_DOCTOR by means of RELATION IS_SON|IS_FATHER the son-patient by means of the father/doctor name. I will be more clear using the "arrows" tool (i´ve discovered it just three hours ago). See you in the community group. Thak you for your attention.
I plan to do something involving high dimension data, and search about "types of NoSQL", and then search "Graph Database", and come to this. Neo4j would probably be the solution I am looking for. Thanks for sharing!
Done thanks! Neo4j is a native graph db (things are actually stored in a graph structure, with pointers) Has its own query language, examples of what it can do at 4:50
Absolutely, Mostafa! If you're interested in learning more about Cypher, there is a Guide you can read called "Getting Started with Cypher" that gives you some useful tips and best practices neo4j.com/whitepapers/getting-started-with-cypher/
Very welcome. We have a number of videos and digital content for novices and practitioners at every level, so feel free to brows or let us know if you are looking for any particular topic.
@@neo4j I have been using the free version using GraphXR.... I went to do an Update save and it just hung and then said 'Update failed' ... this went on , with me trying various ideas , like clearing the Firefox cache, and switching the VPN off and on again. Anyway ... i just resigned to losing some more recent added bits. I tried to just Log out... meaning to just Log in again... but that is all going weird... it wouldnt smoothly Log out. Now the whole reload process is not working. It just hangs and then ... stays not opened up. I mean the basic Login page wont open up. It is just a Firefox Problem Loading Page. As you can imagine I have a lot of work hours put into a piece on/ in there... so I am unhappy - i cant also find a helpline chat. It is early days with the app...

Don't know how I got here, but as a crypto investor, I now understand where the blockchain indexing protocol, 'The Graph,' got its name. I like that project even more now. Thank you!
Ευχαριστώ για τα καλά σας λόγια! Best of luck in your studies! If you haven't, check out our community, as there are a lot of people waiting to help you out if needed. community.neo4j.com/
@@konstantinosmaravegias4198 hah! No, actually the person commenting here is different than in the video (I'm Italian and we learn basic Greek in High School ;-)
How Energetic!! I'm impressed with GraphDB, Neo4j and your presentation! It's so helpful to beginner like me. It gives me more passion to learn Neo4j. I want to swim at Neo4j Ocean right now! Thanks a lot!!
Are there any good graph visual authoring tools out there for neo4j? e.g. the ability to just quickly draw some nodes, give them names, draw some relationships between them, add properties to them and the relationships, and do this over your own local desktop version of neo4j as well as an enterprise server version?
09:00 Is there any book or youtube video that might introduce someone who has never been formally introduced to graph thinking before? Something like how you would explain it to a 5 year old. I just want to make sure I've not missed out on something before I learn the official stuff, even if it's not related to graph databases.
Hello Noah! As a matter of fact, there is! We have an eBook "Graph Databases for Beginners" which you can find here neo4j.com/whitepapers/graph-databases-beginners-ebook/ and here www.neo4j.com/graph-databases-for-dummies/ Thanks for your comments and interest.
The best way to get your questions answered and quickly get up and running is to join our Community at community.neo4j.com/ Also, we have a FREE Virtual event for developers, called NODES2020 neo4j.com/nodes-2020/...join us and you'll get more than enough information to get underway with graph technology.
If somebody wants to tweak inside Neo4j to make it better, where should he/she joins? I couldnt find any of 'how Neo4j is being created, how the Neo4j codes shortest path', etc in the Developers segments. Company secret?
I thought it is a Database Management System. Or let's say a GDBMS in contrast to an RDBMS. A Database would be the actual data that is being managed using a DBMS.
Can I have a clear understanding of graph databases with no knowledge on data science. I stumbled on Noe4j ad, stared reading Noe4j pdf of Graph-Databases for Dummies, just last week. I guess the progress is still young.
Báwo ni?? and welcome to the "Graph club" ;-) Very happy you have decided to join us! We have a free online course for beginners called "Graph Academy". It is very much self-paced and will give you what you need. neo4j.com/graphacademy
This was just a demo data set. If you want to play with life science data, we can recommend healthecco.org/ - otherwise AuraDB Free dev.neo4j.com/discover-aura & Sandbox dev.neo4j.com/try come with a wide set of datasets for you to play with
I believe graph databases can possibly become the standard relational database in software development. I think SQL is still the standard because big companies are already heavily invested into SQL & it's not easy to convert a SQL database with millions of users to a graph or nosql aka not sql database of any kind.
converting existing working systems is always hard, but new implementations will most likely be more open and not based on SQL all the time. We think Graphs are one of those technologies that can help companies move forward with complex applications fit for the future
@@neo4j I'm gonna make the right choice of building my big apps with neo4j from the start, so I don't have to struggle with trying to convert after graphs become the standard. I want to specialize in social medias, Ecommerce and multi-level affiliate programs, so I need something like neo4j that can allow me to build super complex relationships in a simple way. I also think people overlook how important it is for other teams of companies outside the software development department to understand the database.
log4j is completely different from neo4j and there is no relationship other than that we are using it for logging neo4j.com/docs/operations-manual/current/monitoring/logging/ logging.apache.org/log4j/2.x/index.html
I appreciate your effort in making the video. But I'm tired of seeing videos where People talk very fast! Why make a Video? Do you see individual on the TV who are hosting show speaking so fast? Please re-consider how u speak Publicly. There's a difference.
