So far so good. Was relieved to see that you did not include Disney in any topic, point, or video segment. This was a breath of fresh air. This was a great exploration of Jedi philosophy. Very studious of you to relate things to philosophy on Earth. You obviously are well-read. I was impressed. The video needs more views and your channel more followers. There was more substance in this single video than most trend-following "star wars" channels have in their entire library. Keep it up man you're doing great! Loved the video man, really like the ties into Plato and Aristotle's philosophy. If you could do the same for the Sith that would be great! or more philosophical Star Wars videos in general.

I do want to do a similar video on the Sith and how it ties into the Epicureans but that video might be a ways off since I’m not too well read on them and most of my time is currently occupied with work and school. But yes I agree I do want to a What is a Sith video in the near future!
Any sect that forbids love is extremely flawed, i would argue its worse than the Sith, because at least they embrase some human feelings. Thats why i consider Luke the only true Jedi, well and his father before he submitted to Palpatine like a dog.
I wouldn't say they forbid love itself, just acting on it. The thing about the Sith though is that they FULLY embrace it to the most destructive degree.
@@grimlord3181 keeping a secret love is dangerous for Anakin it not wrong for loving Padme it just that he had to be responsible for it and letting go of her when is right because love is freedom and trying control Padme fate isn’t love it obsession and he screw himself so hard in the end.
Jedi forbid love because the fear of loss? I feel like this was such a bad call from Lucas. The Force/Nature/God whatever gifts beings the opportunity to be part of continuiing Existence. You r supposed to live and die, and if you live long enough to mate; Jedi are a bunch of virgins who feel they transcend their real purpose, they need to seek some inner virtue; but yet there is nothing wrong with killing someone with cinder sword, as long as they didn't start it; or even better just chop an arm off when u kno u can clearly destroy a drunk ass at the bar (evil mad doctor not known at the time); its like they have compassion for others; thats great most people do, whenever the jedi first formed, there must have been the douchebag who couldn't focus because his buddies were probably badasses, swingin sabers, smashin Twi'lek babes, taking down the bad guys; and he just had to write down rules that he thought was the way the jedi should conform too cuz he was insecure; Anger, jealousy, hate, sure those are emotions that non-animal beings have that can lead to the darkside; but being horny is something every creature feels, therefore it cant lead to the darkside, the being can allow the concept of sex make them do evil things but the actual emotion would be more of a balance than anything; denying natural urges because your club thinks you can't handle it i feel would be a huge reason to go dark; and instead of continuiing a family bloodline, the jedi go around taking children to train for themselves; and the kids have to grow up following this bs, they hit puberty and r probably made to feel shitty for thinking natural things, so stupid, even if the jedi tell them when you grow up you cant fall in love or else you fail, the kid doesnt care at that time, but he goes to his first jedi yoga class and gets a nice view of his Zabrak teachers thong.... i get it they are trying to do good but its like just have kids and fight for them, trying to never feel the pain of loss, die a virgin, be super skilled at sword fighting and telepathy, and parkour and shit, but sorry ladies I didnt train to be a super hero to get laid, i trained to be a super hero so you can get laid by someone else..your welcome...and if you have kids...send em to us, or we will come get them anyway...
