I play guitar a little bit, it's a fun instrument! I have a collection of really awesome guitars, including some acoustics that can give Taylor a run for their money, at a fraction of the price. Some of my favorite acoustics are my two Norman acoustic guitars, made in Canada. One of them has a Fishman pickup in it that sounds wonderful. I recently picked up a Takamine 12-string guitar from the lawsuit era (Takamine reverse-engineered a Martin and ended up making a better guitar, some would say) that has an absolutely beautiful sound. Taylor guitars are great and I love their sound, but I don't own any as of yet.

ThePianoforever Thanks James, I was at my local guitar center and played around with a used Takamine 12 string they have for sale about 350 but I Don,t know the model, and it does have a great sound. Maybe I should go look it over again. What model is the one you have? Does this sound like a decent price it is black and seems nice. Just on another quick note, check out the Taylor GS Mini. I have a GS Mini Mahogany that I absolutely love and installed their ES Go pickup in it. The pickup is not the greatest, but they do make 2 models with their ES system pickup factory installed which is far superior, I like the KOA one but since I already have my Mahogany do not need another. Try the guitar when you get a chance, you will be surprised when you hear the sound and the action is great out of the box. i also have a brand new 114 e Walnut that I got at the Taylor Road Show. thaw Guitar is really nice and the price I got it for was fabulous. Check their website and find out when they will have The Taylor Road Show near you. The night they had it on Long Island they brought some of their new V Brace guitars that were fantastic. I was not going to the show to buy anything, but the price they gave me on the 114e was incredible so out the door it went with me, LOL. Again, thank you for replying to me. Brad

Yes, we had a fantastic Thanksgiving.

Only one person could ever really play the Goldberg Variations as far as I am concerned, and that of course was Glenn Gould. The fact that someone might try to play them on a marimba would be something I would rather watch than participate.
