What is a Nutsert Rivnut Tool & Nutsert Installation Video for Beginners 

Thank you from England where I'm keeping myself occupied during this troubling time by converting my bicycle to an ebike. I needed to install a couple of rivnuts in to the frame to create mounting points for the battery pack. Thanks to your video, I actually understood how to do it. I did have one failure, when I pulled way too hard on the first one and stripped the interior thread - easily fixed by drilling the "dead" rivnut out and taking much more care the next time. Not every video needs to be extremely polished and super-professional to be HELPFUL; this video was very helpful to me and that's all I was hoping for.

Brought this item, from ebay on the basis of your vid it looked a great tool, Went to use the smallest tool watching your vid so I didn't do anything wrong pulled it up and it snapped like a carrot not to impressed uk buyer

Thanks for the video im new to these things ive watched a few bideos i have a heavy frame on a 1998 dodge ram 1500 laramie slt im going to be using some kind of these on to re attach a nut where the oem welded nut was at and broke loose from i still don’t understand how i works exactly what keeps it from closing the threads up or stripping them out when your installing the nut sert? Btw i liked and subscribed it was a great video i watched it in 1080 form

video is fine and does not need moaning about, it does what is says on the packet, pity about the focus and out of shot bits and it would have been better if the narrator had advised what oversize hole you need to drill for each size of blind nut, you could now add that in the comments at the bottom e.g. M8 = 10mm drill hole as its useful to know in both metric and imperial, the man is providing information and how to use the tool and I learnt something so he did his job. thanks.

The last time I could have used this tool, I didn't think of it. Instead I welded a nut on to the backside, with difficulty. This would have been so much easier and faster.

Minor correction: it is 10-32 thread, not 10 32nds. Threads are in TPI, they aren’t a measurement in fractions of an inch.

I have a rivet gun how do you determine sizes right now i'm using 3/16 1/8 & 1inch all 3/16 so how do I determine the sizes for those sizes? hope I made sense

I bought a tool from Harbor Freight and had difficulty with the tool stripping out the threads from the rivet nut before it could compress. I was usually successful 3 out of 5 attempts. Is this typical of the use of this tool? Should I blame it on the lack of quality? Should I buy better nuts? Thanks for posting this video!

I keep stripping out the threads when I try to squeeze the tool handle. It feels like its tightening up and then I hear a pop and the threads are gone. Using 10/24s for my project. What am I doing wrong?

If you need to replace one for some reason do you just drill them out like normal rivets

Still using such a laborious tool? Sigma rivet nut adapter makes it easy to set the rivet nut! It's time to have a more relaxed tool.

How much torque can be applied on the rivet nuts?

Do you sell the 1/4" x 20 mandrels? They are available on Amazon but look like the cheap brittle Chinese steel that disintegrates as you use it. I have the Autozone Rivnut kit from Harbor freight & it looks to be similar to the one you used in the video. Thank you.
