What is a podiatrist and why I chose Podiatry: True story 

Thank you , I am in my final year. I can't believe its been three years since I watched your video and and encouraged me to pursue podiatry. I haven't looked back at all and each day I love meeting new patients at the placement and serving them.

Hi I love your videos. Thank you for sharing. I am from South Africa. I am a Foothealth Practitioner not quite a Podiatrist, but I still love what I do. I have a saying: our feet takes us everywhere we want and need to go, at least say thank you 😊

On occasion I watch your channel. It's interesting the dialogue between you and your patients, at least I think so. Such a cheery personality. Perhaps what I find strangely alluring is your voice and gentle nature. Being from the USA I understand your speech well, but I it's quite pleasurable listening to your accent and how you project it. I see others as well have mentioned your voice. I like it when you say, "corn free". Not trying to be "corny" either.

Hello, I am currently working towards my foot care/podiatry assistant qualification and hope to continue on to becoming a full podiatrist. I am 31 this year and have two babies (2 year old and a 1 year old) I am worried about the full time aspect of the university course as I do work currently as well as a crazy family life but I hope to qualify in the next 5/6 years :) thank you for all your videos Jamie

I personally think a lot of people are averse to feet because they think they're smelly and ugly. This is not always so, but is fairly common in the USA. They seem to have the same opinion regarding pedicurists. I love watching corn and callus procedures because I love medical videos and am also diabetic. It's informative and entertaining as well. Keep those videos coming.

Some feet are ugly and sometimes smell, that’s what’s a little unbearable but I love watching you because youR AN EXPERT at what you do. It’s fascinating watching your style.

When you are at work, how is your time allocated? How much time are you doing paperwork, how much time are you doing procedures, what are the most common procedures you perform?

I am a Tunisian podiatry student and we basically study the same things as the French system even the number of years is the same (3 years ) i really wanna know if it possible to continue studying in the USA or Canada as a "doctor" podiatrist you know leaning surgeries... If yes do I have to restart my leaning process from the beginning ? If you know any helpful information I'd be so grateful 🙏

Hello doctor, need a help. I have been having tingling in between first and second toes of left foot for about 4months. I feel it as a type of hyper sensitivity and it reaches the top of the foot & lower leg. I have consulted neurologist and they did tests including mri of head, neck, spine. Also emg&nerve conduction studies. Couldn’t find anything. I’m recently feeling pain in left knee left side nerve when pressing and this reaches the foot as well. Also I have pain in left buttock. Could you please advise.

I’m really interested in studying podiatry because I have slight leg length discrepancy, flat foot and a bunion of my big toe and have suffered the issues that have come with it all my life. This has made me more interested in studying it. Butttt...the only thing is I am really squeamish when it comes to nails, broken nails, ingrowing nails etc. so should I not go into it as I am aware this is a daily of a podiatrists job. Or can something like this be grown out of.

I find feet utterly fascinating and what you do is great! Can you do any surgical procedures? In the US our podiatrists are MDs so they have to go through medical school and specialize podiatry.

I’m very interested in podiatry, but a few things worry me... do you feel that there are enough patients and people that know of the field, and do you feel the compensation is good?

Hi Doc! I'm in the U.S. so I don't know if things are different or not, but do podiatrists also diagnose and treat ankle pain? I have foot and ankle pain on my left side only. You mentioned insoles, but my problem seems to be with my ankle and walking on my left foot. I'm not sure what kind of doctor to talk to ☹

I have done my surgery 3 days ago but my pain is not come down and wound is not heal After surgery how much days required to heal the wound and get relief from pain

However, I have just started an access to higher education to hopefully start a Podiatry Degree in 2022. Hi! I'm 18 and considering podiatry, i just wanted to know do you get to diagnose things alot(wierd foot conditions) and what kind of ways to you treat the feet other than scraping ? Is it challenging ?do you get to prescribe stuff to patients ?and do you get to explain the conditions to the patients
