This video is fake. You can technically do this forever because every year there is a new wave of 18 year olds looking for a job. And you won’t have to be doing the leg work once you hire a few. How about a company that has products that make you money without ever having to recruit. HmU!
Well every person has to invite more than one person for this to work and After like 5-8 levels..it gets crazy and soon they will need enough for a country or even half the population and then maybe above this..this strat won’t work forever
@@ianlee4850 i was doing this thing were me and my friends were selling mini air heads because i got 50 dollars from my grandpa so i bought a whole bunch ( a huge bundle) at Walmart. i got tired of eating them so i started selling them, i got my friends involved and we started to recruit people to help sell but those people also started to get their freinds on it and we were making a "HUGE" profit but scince we didint give permision to get these people in on it. we never gave them the percentage we said we would because they didint know us all that well and 2 of them we didn't like.
My crush from 6th grade outta nowhere dmed me after 7 years of no connection. I felt hella hyped...yet....it ended up she is only trying to get me into her pyramid scheme...I feel backstabbed 🤣🤣
That was a very succinct explanation. I've been trying to figure out how a pyramid scheme for a long time, and this helped me understand it really easily.
First heard about pyramid schemes in the early 90s when someone tried to recruit my dad into one...luckily my dad's a smart fella, knew exactly what was going on and politely declined...
@@0nly.bhadbby40 not everyone is making profit? Did u watch the video. Level 2 made no money, level 3 lost money. If there was another level, the second level would make a profit. But not the people at the bottom near the bottom
My friend. He tried to tell me about this business thing hes in. He told me about it and it sounded like a pyramid scheme. I said "is this a pyramid scheme?" Even though I didn't even know what that was other than it involves a bunch of recruiting people. So he told me he invested 75$ to start in this so called business. And I could do the same. And that to make money I needed to recruit a line of people. He said this WORD FOR WORD, "look you have a friend named eli, if you recruit your friend eli then hes has to have a couple of friend he can recruit. So if your friend eli recruits 4 people then those people become your recruit" And I asked "what are we selling?" Cause he did say we sell straight to the consumer. His response was "we are not in the selling business, we reccomand" so then I said "so we just get paid to promote?" And he said no" and I was like "what the fuck are you talking about then?" And that you rank up like "gold, platinum, silver" each level you would get paid more. But I was so confused I didn't even bother. This video is making me think it was a pyramid scheme.
lol my friend try to get me join one in Canada yesterday. I made my research and politely said no but then my supposed friend got BIG MAD starting to threaten me, my family callin me a bitch,etc.. his reactions is just another obvious red flag! what fucking legit business on earth is gonna suck yo dick to join them anyway🤔🤔 because i didnt join and he didn’t recruit me, he had not made the $500 promised and thats why he got mad. and in these pyramids scheme you pay a fee of $1499 to get in and $149 every month for the gold pack at least this one works like this, so even tho he told me he already made profit which is impossible cause hes been in this shitt for 3days only and the paycheck come in per months, he’s probably in debt and never will see his money again😭😭🤣🤦🏻♂️
Have always been fascinated with maths and statistics, one time when I was 12 I had come up with an idea to make loads money people who invest would only ever lose a tiny amount. That essentially doesn’t matter. I explained my idea to my parents and wanted them t9 help me get it started. That’s when I discovered I made a pyramid scheme 😑
@@OmnivorousOtter101 I was referencing his old profile pic, it's no longer relevant because he's changed it since though, rip. It means OriginalBrawler it's a term in the brawl stars community that's their way of using the "OG" term
Best explanation I’ve found on RU-vid, funnily enough I looked up the definition of a pyramid scheme on Wikipedia and thought of this exact example you said here.
Very simply explained to the gullible people out there. I was approached 30 years ago by someone I hadn't seen since school. Even then I realised it wasn't going to work for me but he was desperate to re-coupe money he was losing but i said no.. I used to think he was more intelligent than me at school lol.
Ha! I paid a company called bhip 13 euros yesterday so that they would let me enter their zoom "training meeting". I had already had a doubt that it was a pyramid scheme but I had like 2% doubt that the company could be legit. After 3 hours of them introducing us to new member who "MADE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS" and never really telling anything about the actual sales strategy, I'm now 100% sure it's a pyramid scheme. What grinds my gears, though, is that the chat in zoom was disabled, the microphones and cameras were disabled, and none of the "trainees" could see anyone else. For all I know, I could've been the only one in the meeting. I couldn't even ask or say anything or participate in any way! I guess I'll never get my 13 euros back lol.
If the 3rd level recruits other people, will the 2nd level (the one who recruited the 3rd) make a commission too? Or just the 3rd level and the 1st level make the money?
Don't know y people can't understand this pyramid scheme is different from binary concept of direct selling 🤣🤣 saying direct selling is illegal without knowing the gov norms 😂 #Awesome explanation for pyramid scheme 😍💥
Some lady was trying to recruit me. What got my attention was that she kept insisting, and told me words like “You have a lot of potential,” and all positive things to convince me. I ended up blocking her. 😅
Thank you. I literally signed up for it but it always just felt so off and I’ve been so skeptical. Now I know there’s a name for it so I can research efficiently now 😂
That is exactly how it works, also works with selling products from the top all way to the bottom. Where the level 1 will sell it for the cheapest and then the next person would sell it to someone for an extra 20% interest the same again with another 20% more interest. but from then on no one will be interested in buying it because it's too expensive. Therefore the bottom level have lost their investment and profit.
I kind of do this already as I find cheap products on Amazon, advertise them on eBay and sell them for a profit. The person buying is at the bottom, the person at the top is probably somewhere like Alibaba or some Chinese factory.
The total amount was $600 and the top guy had $400 then definitely the middle members had their $100 back.....so will the bottom members will gain back their money back.... if they keep on to sign more people..... But of all the Top guy will be the one to gain much lol
Question…couldn’t the top one just rejoin and be recruited again and only give a portion of what he gain…someone was explaining something similar about giving and getting but I have to recruit and that they had ppl already on call to recruit cause they did it already ?
Kinda sounds like Mary Kay. I was almost recruited, and then was told I had to pay to work for them and buy all of the products, If they didn't sell I would have had 500$ of crappy makeup. No way!
I had the same situation. Had to pay money to sell his products, and he would help with making my website. I didn't at the end, because it sounded sketchy.
The Philippines is bombarded with MLM or Networking or Pyramid Scheme companies that are not strictly regulated for as long as a company has business permit. Even the products are not regulated as long as "No Approved Therapeutic Claims" are put on the labels.
They are very where they talk to you like you just found a new friend but in the end they stard talking about retired at age 40 and ah shit here we go agian
@@dantheman3850 MLM are Pyramid Schemes. You dont make money on a product. You can make very little below minimum wage(peanuts or nothing what so ever). You can only make money there by recruting people. Not to mention, that amount of people on earth is limited so eventually you run out of people or they going to leave. Chances of success in MLM are only 1-2%.
Maciej Janisławski You don’t seem to understand Herbalife’s business model. I’ve seen other MLM’s and theirs are really sketchy, but Herbalife’s fine. Of course you make most of your money by recruiting, that’s what makes it an MLM. However, if you knew about Herbalife you’d know that you don’t get your royalties check (5% money from your downline, once they’re supervisors, directly payed by Herbalife and not your downline), if you sell (not buy) 2500VP to your personal customers every month. In other words, you don’t get your downline money if you don’t personally sell, avoiding being a Pyramid Scheme. (Edit:of course that’s just one of many ways it’s not a Pyramid Scheme; if you are curious in what other ways Herbalife is a legitimate MLM, just ask me and I’ll gladly share my opinion.)
Directors do a character analysis on their men and essentially get the the most emotionally responsive individuals law enforcement then keep forwarding them to one person then apply pressure to do more. This causes a pattern of wrongdoing. They pick their worst. A public enquiry into the selection process is needed.
iamOAKland yes but than more people are just gonna lose out unless the cycle continues. Once you run out of people to sign up, than everyone there is asses out
@@sashagayepowell2655 If the top guy backs out then it's not a guarantee that the new top guy will back out but, if he does back out then there will be an even less chance of the next guy backing out. It's all dependent on chance. In theory, yes it could be infinite if the ONE SINGLE GUY who backed out joins again which is HIGHLY UNLIKELY.
this reminds me of a pyramid scheme that is based in Dubai. They would do the same here but instead of rewarding people with money they had their own "Crypto currency" which was basically useless. they would get away with this by just claiming that the crypto currency has plans to make it available to withdraw the money into any other currency but that will never happen. luckily for my family that they flied us over to dubai for a week, we didnt buy into it and in return we got a very cheap holiday.
I have a beeter piramid scheme idea you are to pay certain money and 50 percent will go to initial recruter and other 50 percent will be evenly split with members of upper level so lower member will continue to join thinking they just need to recruit 2 in order to be even
Now im just curious….say I joined one of these and then realized it was a scheme and decided to screw over the leader by keeping the product (whatever we’re selling) and not paying for it, therefore screwing them out of the momey they ripped me off?
I mean like if only half of the recruitment money goes to the top, being a higher rank means you still profit as long as you recruit more than 2 people lmao
What happens if the level 1 leaves the scheme and both level 2s become level 1s of the pyramid below them? And also, would a pyramid scheme be legal IF everyone in the system is informed prior and during the scheme?? I think there could be ways to make this work just like Herbalife (which many think its a scam) but i don’t agree with
The thing is I don’t think many people would join it if they knew it was a pyramid scheme and why would level one leave if they were still making money?
@@fightforfreedom5292 level one would be forced to leave, I was thinking of making this into a smart contract on ETH so that its all automatically done… but I never figured out if its legal or not so I dont want to do it
@@andresshamis4348 It is regarded regarded as illegal, _but_ what if one was to tell those wishing to join that it is a pyramid scheme, and that there is an agreement that when people are no longer making money from this that the top level players reimburse those that have lost their money ? I wonder if that works out mathematically as well as ethically ?
Reminds me of real life. Like why do people keep going back to fast food chains. People dont think that's a Pyramid but it is. The corporate people or on top of the Pyramid.
No, because everyone always gets the same amount of money per amount of time you have to work to get that money. It doesn’t slowly start getting smaller and you don’t need to make an investment to join.
What he explained is/isn't a pyramid scheme. the reason why is that there was no talk about a product being sold. in a way, this is an MLM(Multi-Level Marketing). Agents who are in an MLM structure HAVE to get licensed by the state but in a pyramid scheme(which is illegal) cannot get a state license.
I m also doing netowrk marketing, but it is not a pyramyd scheme, actually i did course of network marketing and i m doing that resigned from my job..so i know there has lot of scams, but we have to choose right one and we have to learn which one is geunine one..so i can guide to you to do course of network marketing and other online busiess, after thath you can choose do or not...
Only thing I don't understand is why are the people motivated to pay the initiator money if they don't have profit at all? Why would you want to pay a 100 dollars for nothing in return or risk not getting them back?
Have you heard of Tenacity? I’ve been approached over and over and over by someone trying to get me to join. Just not sure if it’s legit or if anyone has had any success with them.
Please do a video explaining the difference between a pyramid SCHEME and pyramid or network marketing. Many people do not understand that the two things are NOT the same. They both have ELEMENTS of one another but differences in administration, distribution, product or service vs no product or service, value down close to equity of value up, etc. So many people are scared off from Network marketing due to the misconceptions surrounding it's structural similarities.
Actually they're scared off of MLM because they read a few "Annual Income Disclosure Statements" published by many MLMs themselves which typically indicate 85+% of reps make $0 in commissions and actually lose money.....thereby becoming clients.
John D because people are quitters want results in 3 days. Success takes years of failure but you wouldn’t know that because you still are in the most common pyramid. Called the corporate pyramid! Why do you break down that one. Hahaha
Was this a pyramid scheme? So I 7th grade, I started selling some candy just for profit. Overtime I recruited some people and one of my friends. One day, I told my employees if were to be a great idea if we started an organization, I promised that at the start, we would all have set wages, in which we all just got 5 dollars and the rest is the ones I got and I would just invest that money into this so I would also only be left with 5 dollars at first. I also promised them that our wages would increase based on what group does really well than the others in selling the snacks. I would be the founder, responsible for making decisions for this business, my friend would be the co-leader, the other employees would be managers of different groups, but before that happens, they would need atleast 1 seller for each group to start this business. They recruited some random people, in which I put them on the waiting list so I could afford them in the future. In order so the managers don't get really stressed out about recruiting more and more and recording their conducts, and supplying all of them, etc I set the limit of how many sellers there could be in a group to 3 and added a new role called the suppliers, I also split the groups in half to sell different snacks, like group a, b, and c are responsible for candy while d, e, f are responsible for the chips. I put some people from the waiting list to be the first few suppliers, as I said, I invested most of the money to this thing so I would lend the suppliers some money for the needed supply of their group. Business was doing well then I eventually started the organization in which I called it the S.S.U. was this thing a pyramid scheme?
