I attended two small groups while attending celebration. One small group leader gossiped about her co-leader’s wedding and how it might fail (sadly I think it did) and complained about her coworkers for about half of the last session and the next group of ladies were nice and polite. So polite that they didn’t seem to object when another participant suggested the Enneagram and that her current church in Austin doesn’t even read the from the Bible but everyone was really impressed that a local celebrity attended. Sometimes there are large gatherings because they are drawn and captivated by the lights, camera, action and if you removed all of that, perhaps you’d see why the small churches aren’t so bad. Their focus is on our Savior.
