so , what exactly s a tulpa , well according to the website tulpa.info , a tulpa is described as the following
A tulpa is an entity created in the mind, acting independently of, and parallel to your own consciousness. They are able to think, and have their own free will, emotions, and memories. In short, a tulpa is like a sentient person living in your head, separate from you. It’s currently unproven whether or not tulpas are truly sentient, but in this community, we treat them as such. It takes time for a tulpa to develop a convincing and complex personality; as they grow older, your attention and their life experiences will shape them into a person with their own hopes, dreams and beliefs.
Most of my information today will be from this website, and the popular reddit community, which I reached out to in preparation for this episode and everyone there treated my curiosity with kindness and each person I spoke to were very welcoming and helpful.

My son created Tulpas while he was put in isolation in prison I believe. Doctors have diagnosed him with bipolar disorder, but I see zero of it, especially when they put him in those antipsychotics which work all the opposite on him. He told me he created those voices when he was desperately lonely in that little tiny cell in a max security prison and I BELIEVE IT!

Alexandra David -Neel created a tulpa who was harmless at first but later took on a menacing way about him. She had a good deal of trouble trying to expell this tulpa. I read about this in an old book

As a professional psychiatrist and interested in neurobiology it's a natural thing the brain does. We all have some forms of different personalities acting in us. This is just a more eleborate and intended version. And since any other personality parts in you are real, why they shouldn't be, except the bodies? And who says the don't have bodies, when using yours or experiencing your bodies sensation? "Our mind" also is only created in our mind. Imagine you present as one of your created charcaters in real life for the rest of your life, you would say you were not real?

Very dangerous, I've heard of cases where people tried this out of curiosity and are now left psychotic or catatonic. The practise may seem like creating a fantasy character or world but I do believe it's very dangerous to dwell on something that isn't grounded in reality.

I'm glad you clarified that you don't think it has anything to do with mental illness. I'll admit I have struggled with depression for years in the past, so I understand to a degree. I'm interested in learning more about this topic, while sound of mind. To be honest, at first, it sounds like schizophrenia. With your explanation, it makes sense though. I see no problems with this as long as one stays grounded in reality.

I have a tendency to talk to myself a lot, and i will end up creating an entire person with a certain personality for that certain scenario. But they arent self-aware or conscious or whatever, its still just me controlling them. So even though i would like to create a tulpa, i do have troubles with the whole part where theyre their own person with their own thoughts, cause i end up second guessing and going into a loop on whether its actually doing anything or im still just doing it myself

Erm I may be sceptical but this sounds like cultivating a dangerous split personality to me, why would anyone want to develop and fixate on a potential psychological issue if they have no issues? I've heard of these things causing people to become psychotic and believing this creature more real than they are.

I would say that is probably true I think it comes down to your intentions but do I think they are different yes I know someone on a RU-vid channel that talks about there tulpas pony ones from that show it doesn't act like this Tibet religion so there's something about this phenomenon that may explain the universe And even God I have and idea of this but you guys probably would think it's the most ridiculous thing to explain God and us people I'm going to figer this out but if we study the Bible from the beginning I think we're all talpas And God is are creator if think about this you will start to wonder.

@@aaronmarkenson7717 YES !!! I thought this just earlier. I was worried out of my head, 6 years ago as I had a horrible narcissistic landlady. (Used to be my friend. Huh!) I remember watching 'Suits' one night and the good looking guy said something like, "I've got a Donna." I remember thinking out loud, "I wish I had a Donna." Shortly after I was allocated a wonderful support worker who got that woman out of my life & a new bungalow! Her name....Donna!!!!!!! Sadly she's ill & I haven't seen her for a few months. Donna on the telly and my Donna both had the same lovely hair!
