Aww, i've learned how to pronounce chalcedony correctly from you. It's very interesting to know that Agate cleanses aura, removes negativity and enhances mental function and concentration...Thank you for another jewelry information update...❤
Thank you so much for doing this video! I have always loved agate! I love that it comes in so many colors. I have owned black agate and blue agate. I never knew they were related to chalcedony, as I am very fond of the coloring of that stone. Thank you so much for this very informative video as always Jill. I hope you have a great day and can’t wait for tomorrow’s video!
I just stumbled onto this video. The title caught my eye, it is the 1st of your channel that I've seen. Glad I found it. Well Done! Excellent information! New sub. I'm a long time agate/chalcedony hunter/collector from NW Illinois. My hunting grounds are the banks, islands and gravel bars of the Mississippi River and tributaries from Keokuk, Iowa, upstream into Minnesota. The primary types of Chalcedony that I find are banded Lake Superior Agates(LSAs), Jasper, Carnelian, Onyx, and Plain(unbanded) Chalcedony, among others. *The glaciers of the last 5 Ice Ages broke them out of the basalt matrix vesicles(holes left near the surface by gas bubbles in volcanic rock as it cools) where they formed around 100 million years ago, and then carried them southward into Minnesota, Wisconsin, and northern Iowa. Some, transported by glacier, come from as far away as central Ontario, Canada, north of Lake Superior. They've slowly been washed down the Upper Mississippi River watershed over approx. the last 5,000 to 10,000 years. In the Mississippi River, LSAs can be found as far South as Memphis, TN. However, they become increasingly smaller and harder to find as you move farther downstream. *I hope this tidbit of history can be found useful by someone. Keep up the great work. Now, I'm off to check out the rest of your channel. Have a Wonderful Day and a Glorious New Year. And.... Take a look at #thefinders when you have the time. I believe you will find it interesting.
OMG, I can't believe you did this video. I'll put my response in the video I'm posting this morning, which will be up late because I haven't even filmed it yet.
@@jeanithburdine5544 I'm so sorry Jeanith! Autumn really tried to be clear that it was all done tongue in cheek. We didn't mean to upset you or anyone.
Very interesting as I was drawn to this to buy one yesterday on my outing to a crystal shop without knowing the meaning. I did buy it and I'm glad i did. 😊
Rosalinda M, me too heard of Jill Maurer in Autumn’s You tube plus I’m new in You tube 😊🙂 & subscribing 😊 , my girls encourage me to do you tube as a “break “ from hectic -life 😊
Well, I don't believe in those FEELINGS claims. But agates are the trippiest little rock I've ever seen just laying on the ground. So cute. So diff from a rock! But what can I DO with them?
I think you may mean iris agate. My videos are always transcribed well so you can usually use the closed captioning if you're having trouble with a word I'm saying. Just click on the CC. Hope that helps! xoxo
@@JillMaurer thnx alot for your feedback ' it was it yes and I used the cc captioning...really appreciated more of your videos are very helpful and unique 🌺be blessed!
Thabk u I ended up buy a small order of colorful agates I can see all types of different agates from moss I see carnelian I see they r transparent some are 1 color some has lines like banded theee variety in mines it’s just colorful mix of agates like 5-8mm chips
Yes i have a question i have one but like i don't know what to do with it,can i show you,its yellow and white and was given to me by a good great friend
Agate can come in black and is often banded with white. It can also sometimes be dyed black. Unfortunately I'm not an expert at identification stones but agate is a fairly abundant stone found in many places.
Thank you. The sofa is designed by Florence Knoll. Here is a video where I talk more about it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BonykE4qnwI.html&ab_channel=JillMaurer xoxo
Hi Jill, I’m your new fan from 🇬🇧 U.K., can you please make a video about “ Ruby stones” thanks. I love your videos, it’s very informative especially about gemstone, precious stones & other semi-precious x thanks again x
Hello new friend! I'm so grateful that you are here!! I talked about rubies in my July Birthstone video. Here it is, and I hope you enjoy!! xoxo ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WhlVPCYyR8E.html
I got a agate sphere I ordered the other day and when I received it i was checking it out and it's buitiful but what gets me is it has a natural face of a cat in it just curious if that happens very often and if so does it have any meaningful sign lol hope you dont think I'm crazy like my wife did until she seen it lol now it's our most prized sphere that we have in our marble collection
Thank you that was very interesting as I recall when playing marbles with my brothers everyone always wanted the agate marbles do they make marbles out of agate?
This was an interesting video! I believe that you did pronounce agate correctly! And you didn’t put up the thumb print on this Agate video as said. I enjoyed this video.
Go back and look at the video she posted. She said you put the Donnie is my best friend thumb nail at the end of your video.( At the end of each of your videos and everyone’s, it will show several of the last few videos that you did. I think it’s trying to get us to watch another of your videos). Good luck with this situation. Remember to always be nice. You know that.
@@jeanithburdine5544 Oh! Sometimes those show up differently for different people. I will try to be nice ... sort of. Autumn and I are just playing with each other. She's getting me back for suggesting that her cold came from Donnie. I accused them of seeing each other behind my back so we are having fun with each other. Autumn is always nice too! xoxo
It’s beautiful what God has created. “20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse” Romans 1:20 Thanks for the video!
Not sure if you are aware of this but Autumn Beckman is over there running her mouth about YOU! LOL Obviously she is bitter but that is JUST between you and me! LOL Who knew there was so many kinds of Agates...certainly not Autumn Beckman..".cleanse your aura"...no wonder Autumn is wearing such a huge Agate necklace, let's hope it works out for her! ha Great video Jill even if you did "steal" the idea from Autumn! 😂😂😂
Jill Maurer Somehow I do not doubt this LOL she might need to wear that agate necklace for a few weeks Or I could send her an evil eye necklace she might need that!!! Hey there’s an idea for your channel and I’m giving you permission to talk about the evil lie and how the Mediterranean people believe in it I’m giving you full permission I will not go on RU-vid and counter attack you like somebody did😂
You had me right up untill you started talking about "cleansing auroa" ...... mmmmmmmnope! Shame, you were doing so well before you started on the mumbo-jumbo.
A bit too late but in South Asia particularly Pakistan Agates from Yemen are really valued and liked. These Agates don’t come in the form of patterns you shared in the video. They r relatively plain. Would like your comments on these two aspects.
Agate is readily available so you should be safe with any jewelry person you find to be reputable. I know that is vague. The best thing to do is ask people in your area who they trust. xoxo
Kylie, good places to check are usually a local "rockhound" club, or with a local Rock & Gem Shop. It is not uncommon for the shops to supply Local Artisans with cut and polished agates and other jewelry-ready gems and minerals. They very often will give referrals for trusted Local Artisans, and can tell you who works best with which stones or type of jewelry. Also, in many cases, the shops will have quality locally made jewelry for sale. Another good place to look is #thefinders. Best of Luck to you.
Autumn was, perhaps, a little tooooo convincing! It really is funny! But I am guessing that for the rest of your lives, a RU-vid legend will follow both of you everywhere that you really Hate Each Other, even though you are the best of friends!
Agate does not have any magical power. Chalcedony is not agate jasper is dirty chalcedony. Onyx refers to black cryptocrystaline quartz . To my knowledge the last true onyx was used by Fabregas for the imperial Russian family. Every thing since has been dyed. I 'm fine with people talking about science, I despise this crap about crystal energy, the only energy involved in Crystal's you can't measure in a lab. Electrical properties of quartz are well known and cause little or no effect till you get up to hundreds of volts. If you can't explain the physics don't hide it in the bull crap.
Hafa adai! I'm a native of Guam and I just had to let you know that AGAT which is pronounced just like AGATE, is the name of one of the villages in Guam. Just some food for thought. Esta
There is a river near here where I’ve found some lovely pieces. Most of the ones you find here in Mississippi are an amber color but at the Bouie river I’ve found reddish brown, white, grayish white, dark gray and a nearly black. I haven’t been able to go in a few years but I want to go back so bad.
I found what I believe is an agate. It doesn't look exactly like the ones in this video but it's definitely not your average rock. Is there somewhere that I can send a picture of it so you can let me know what you think about it?
