My favorite parts were "...im bout to slap yo face off with some knowledge" and "take that urrf!" And "every time u dont subscribe an owl loses its life....dont tell Peta"
I finally get it. I've watched several videos that were exactly as you describe. They told me what art was for and how to do it but didn't explain that it represents someone's original idea and the expression of it is just their best efforts to communicate that. Now if only I had something I wanted to express.
Here's my definition of Art: Art is a form of communication, higher than language, which, unlike regular language, succeeds to bypass the conscious and convey realizations about universal human experience to the unconscious.
Ah, this is awesome! I was looking for videos to write a paper about how advertisement is also art and looking through videos of what is art and this one has been way above anything else! Thanks for the inspiration, motivation and a huge thanks for not doing another one of those cheesy art is from your soul videos :)
Our teacher told us to watch this video to find out the definition of the art and compare to the definition of ours. Hey! If you see my comment here, just know - it IS me
I laughed, and that's a good thing. I want to share something profound with my students. Something that isn't overwhelming didactic and full of intense vocabulary, but something that will inspire an Ah-Ha! moment. I think I found it. Thank you.
"Art is the human expression of aesthetic nature and deliberated character whose objective is to produce an aesthetic emotion." Period. You can add the words and ideas you please, but can not take away any of the stated elements. Indeed this concept does not set apart "great" Art from kitsch work, I dare you to provide a definition which does so.
I was searching for a way to discuss with my students "What is Art" and came upon this. I've never subscribed to anything on youtube but had to to tell you to keep doing what your doing- this is awesome! :) I laughed out loud and it will be PERFECT for my students.
