I was thinking the same thing.. In the late eighties i tried out for the USA North team so i understand the game but i need to dive deep on these rules.
I would imagine it started that way because it's a beach sport and that's what people wear to the beach. Not everything has to be a controversy. Too many people are professionally outraged these days.
I think women should have the right to wear more cloths if they want, even if it's to the determent of money and views, you are right. I think making guys who want to wear speedos should be allowed, same as girls who want to wear shorts. I get their reasoning of the dress code though, it's all for the sake of money. 95% of the views go to men, basic biology says men are faster, stronger, and taller than women, making it more exciting. Women work just as hard as men, but they have to wear skimpy things in order to get an audience at all, which is sad. You can't just let women play with the men either, then women couldn't compete. It's a tricky situation.

@@hass6390 the problem is that some women do not want to show skin. They want to compete, and competing in bikini bottoms effect how they play. I'm just saying everyone is screaming sexism, when they should be saying greedy bastards. lol 😆 and I'm not overcomplicating, everyone else is just over simplifying. :)
@@ohyaization Men are better at some sports and women are better at others like gymnastics (they are WAY more flexible because of the position of their hips). Also long distance swimming. Cheers!
