Thank you for watching! The tails are docked when puppies are 2 - 3 days old by my vet office. If someone is getting a puppy from me and they do not want the tail docked we are happy to honor that request. Thank you.
Hi Ginnie, Thank you for enjoying my videos! The video you wrote this comment on is from January '23. Penny had 3 litters and has now been spayed. If you are looking for a puppy please connect with me here: www.svcctoys.com/contact-svcc-toy-schnauzers
My little girl gets so excited when somebody comes she riddles on the floor. Does this ever stop? If I go out front to do something in the yard. I leave the back door open for her. But she will poop on the floor. Even though I left the door open. She won't back to go out. I have bells for her. But if I'm in the room she won't use the bell or back. Does her business behind me. 😢
Thank you for watching and enjoying my videos. I do not know how your puppy was originally trained at the breeder's where you got your puppy but it sounds like you need to go back to the basics. Keep her in a play pen (I have videos on how to do this if you haven't seen them here is one of them: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TkEwLUSTtpg.html.) Get her so conditioned to going to the place that you want her to go and nowhere else by using the playpen. This may take 1 - 2 months of consistent work on your part. What she is doing shows an insecurity and lack of confidence or safety and you will want to change that "story" in her head. I will show you how if you watch all my videos on training a puppy!
Hello, I have several videos on my channel that explain the various schnauzer colors. You may want to start with this one about recessive red colors ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tk7rjsnUFNI.html and Schnauzers can come in black, black and silver, salt & pepper, chocolate (aka liver), and liver & tan. Watch more of my videos and you will see the range of colors! Thank you
I don't know the part of the country you are in but if fleas and ticks are a problem in your area, ask friends and a holistic vet for suggestions. I don't have the flea or tick issues because of the set up I have for my dogs but if I did I would use herbs and natural remedies and never the harmful pesticides directly on my dog's skin or in their food.
Once my males in my breeding program are 16+ weeks old they go to Guardian homes because I have females in my home who come in season and I don't want to wear my males out. Thank you for enjoying my videos.
Shawn I love your videos! The puppies are super cute! I owned a giant schnauzer and really loved schnauzers still. And your page inspired me to get a black mini schnauzer w/ a white patch on the chest that looks exactly like my giant did! My mini is a dream pup! He is so cute! He barks and watches your little puppies on TV! LOL
I am trying to decide if i want a male or female dog. I am worried about excessive humping in a male and also worried that he might stick his penis out all the time. Do your dogs do this? Any advice?
Will you be getting your dog spayed or neutered? I recommend this at 9 - 12 months old and if that is the case then it really will not make much difference. Humping when they aren't breeding is a game for dogs about who is the "king of the hill" - it is a way they communicate power in the pack. Both males and females will do this and it is all in fun. No, none of my males stick their penis out - only if a girl is in season and they are being bred do we ever see it out. Thank you for your question and I do have other videos on this topic too. Hope you will join us for our adventures with our puppies and dogs!
Yes, I understand that perspective. And I also know the joys of having a male dog who is so well trained that I can point to something and say, "go potty" and he will pee on it! Male dogs are great for outdoor walks. Thank you for watching!
@@svccschnauzers Scooby has this weird thing he does, he pees like the guide dogs do. I had a guide dog a few years ago, but he died of cancer and seizures make it a little more difficult to get a guide dog. Also Scooby does this weird thing where he looks like he’s doing a push-up when he pees it’s so weird that’s how they train the guide dogs to do it and he just naturally does.
The puppies are cute but the colors are not typical Schnauzer colors. They look like they are mixed breeds. Their faces don't look like Schnauzers either.
Thank you for watching my videos! I also appreciate your comment. I'd like to share a few things that may be helpful: I DNA test my breeding dogs and you can see the results in this Play List: ru-vid.com/group/PLdfS_gJ-9tvwulZNWw83bxQatFbhhHf1_ They are 100% mini schnauzers!! The original schnauzer breeders used a variety of breeds of dogs to create schnauzers and thus there are some non standard colors that can pop up. On my websites I explain this in more depth if you are interested: www.SVCCToys.com www.WhiteSchnauzerPuppy.com www.RedSchnauzerPuppy.com www.ChocolateSchnauzerPuppy.com Again, THANK YOU for your comment because I am certain you are not the only person who thinks that schnauzers only come in salt & pepper and black colors but that is simply not the whole picture. Sincerely, Shawn Kent Hayashi, SVCC Toy Schnauzers
