Bloom’s Taxonomy is absolutely critical is understanding how we get people to learn things. There are 6 levels in total:
Level 1: Knowledge:
Unfortunately, a lot of companies stop at level 1: Knowledge. They believe that all a learner needs is to be presented with the training. This is of course an untruth!
Level 2: Comprehension:
The learner needs to be able to understand the knowledge. You can find out how by creating tests, assessments and questions for your learners to complete.
Level 3: Application:
The learner needs to be able to apply the information in order to prove that it has sunk in.
Level 4: Analysis:
The next stage is being able to analyse the topic. Learners can demonstrate they confedentally know the info by successfully debating, comparing the subject.
Level 5: Evaluation:
The further we move up Bloom's Taxonomy chart, the more engaged the learner will become. By Level 5, evaluation, the learner should be able to mentor this knowledge and drive it into organisational culture.
Level 6: Creation:
This is where we give the learner full autonomy to build and create on this knowledge to enhance the culture of the organisation.

Hello, You are featured in some of my Masters classes. I appreciate your explanation of Bloom’s Taxonomy. 30 years ago, when I did my bachelors in communication studies, we spoke about the sender receiver model. Is it still up-to-date? I just took a class in neuroscience which had a different analysis of how people best learn. I feel like across the educational materials that I am being introduced to, we’re still using models from the 60s and 70s and I’m not sure that is the best approach. I love the pace of your presentations, it is engaging, easy to watch and understand.

Hey Tally! We're not super familiar with the sender / receiver model. Bloom's was updated in 2001 and is still relevant to this day :)

I am a visual learner and this was a great way to explain what Bloom's Taxonomy is and how the learning process is achieved. Thank you for this. As an adult learner in nursing school it's all about testing.

Great video and thanks for making this Juliette. I think the first 3 were fully explained with examples, but the last 3 were explained in more summarised forms. So i will have to find out more about them. I'll see if you have other materials on these :)

Very well done and I am charmed and impressed with your ability to engage and convey. I'm wondering why your Bloom's graphic says comprehend and not understand, seeing as you have Create in the revised position.

I would like to know how this version or aspect of Blooms Taxonomy relates to High- Order Thinking, Middle- Order Thinking, and Low- Order Thinking- Blooms Taxonomy according to SLS1510: College Success / Social Science @ Tallahassee Community College... -Victor Williams / Journalism Major

Thank you so much for that. It was very helpful. I have three questions if you would be kind enough to answer. First, How can bloom's taxonomy be applied through online teaching? Second, if your working place does not use bloom's taxonomy or rather focus on the first two stages and has very strict rules about changing the rules, how can a teacher convince the school and the parents that students need all six stages to learn? Third, can an individual like a private tutor make use of bloom's taxonomy and how?

Good day, I'd like to ask something for I am in my Pre-Service Teaching. Is it necessary to cover each of these levels in teaching a course? I hope I could hear from you. Thank you!

As far as I know, It's helpful to integrate different types of tasks and questions that reach each of these levels within each unit. Creating something might be more involved, so I wouldn't suggest putting a task that complex on a test. Saying that, your units should aim to have students be able to correctly answer questions at the evaluating level before you can be sure they "get it". I hope this helps a bit!

Dear Reader, " That is not what Blooms Taxonomy is rather than agree that you are totally wrong. What I mean to state is that what you have is a table that Blooms Taxonomy can help you come up with indirectly- speaking wise. The way that Blooms Taxonomy works produces a result that can be expressed with a table creation, graph representation, or chart reflection. This does not mean that the things themselves are compiled or collaborated in to Blooms Taxonomy because Blooms Taxonomy is not a solution such as something that can be reflected or projected- it has not evolved or emerged from a study, however, it is a study itself. That is what is the helpful agent in it when critically thinking as a resource for somebody with a block or struggle. I watched your video to passively exercise Social Science and I did not expect or intend to determine Blooms Taxonomy was detectable or engaged. This means that I think what you have in the presentation is what a person may create after Blooms Taxonomy. I do not think you are trying to describe Blooms Taxonomy with any graphics or imagery in the context that Blooms Taxonomy is instructed in because it is a skill not a tool. It starts with Low- Order Thinking then it moves to Middle- Order Thinking, and finally it goes in to High- Order Thinking before it has to have been navigated to a solution. Graphics will distract your client, demotivate him or her, and, at least, switch an intrapersonal intelligence around to an interpersonal intelligence on him or her on the spot. Perhaps you should listen to the lecture I listened to in Social Science called SLS1510: College Success unless you do not feel comfortable with Blooms Taxonomy material in an exclusive presentation at this time. Blooms Taxonomy is safe put as the opposite of Semmelweis Reflex or borderline to Status Quo Bias. I am a Journalism major and I live in my hometown Tallahassee, Florida- thank you, ma 'am. " Sincerely, Victor Williams

Dear Hostess, " Paul Warren questioned your Blooms Taxonomy last week. Perhaps you should find out from me how you can get Blooms Taxonomy in an exclusive version since I am a Journalism major, ace in Social Science, and free of Semmelweis Reflex as well as The Ikea Effect. Blooms Taxonomy is not what you are presenting- you have the result or equation of Blooms Taxonomy. High- Order Thinking, Middle- Order Thinking , and High- Order Thinking make up Blooms Taxonomy. It is not a tool but a skill so I think you have simply used the wrong context while being aware of critical thinking, describing Blooms Taxonomy, and representing the inevitable, which, is not going to indicate Blooms Taxonomy. I am intrinsically motivated and very enthusiastic so as a resource I repeat that I have Blooms Taxonomy in a lecture that is recent or up- to date that will help you. Once again Paul Warren, whose name is in my memory, questioned your presentation of Blooms Taxonomy. I can be reached at www.williamsvictor237@gmail.com. " Sincerely, Victor Williams

Wow! Outdated labels on the graphics and a totally wrong interpretation of Bloom's research.
