Josh joke here that he doesn't have a joke on this topic but he will in a year time ironic that is true because this episode happened in October and brexit is supposed to be happening in October 😁😱
Here’s a question , when Britain leaves the EU and say (they do (NOTHING) about the border) and just leave it as it is Will the EU compel (Ireland) to enforce the border along Northern Ireland.
Yes with support from the EU. I wouldnt be surprised even though the British gave their word that wont be the case. The Irish have a long history of knowing how trustworthy that is.
For some light relief, here is The Backstop Song as sung by @theresa_may to Amy Winehouse’s ‘Rehab’ 👉 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BxfyplNOQcs.html 😉💃
The most effective response to any second referendum would be a total boycott by Leavers (official Leave campaign to ask Leavers not to vote). This would delegitimise the process and create voter apathy among Remain voters. This is the tactic Remain activists fear most. The justification: We had a referendum in 2016 and the result was 'the UK should leave the EU'.
The whole point of Brexit is to regain independence from the EU. Which means there will be no need to alter *_any_* border at the behest of Brussels. This is all smoke and mirrors.
@@imedi Yes it is. UK (to Ireland): "Right now we're both still in the EU. So - are you happy with the way the borders are operating at the moment?" Ireland: "Pretty much, yeah." UK: "OK. Well we'll leave them like that when we're out of the EU then." That simple. Brussels and pro-EU career politicians are deliberately over-complicating every tiny facet of this whole Brexit farce because they're essentially a collective of spoiled, vindictive children who don't want to give up one of their toys.
@@PointlessSillyName no its not as simple as that ... there is a little thing called the eu internal market which allows no traffic from a nation outside the eu to enter unless there are some checks.. its ok to say there are no problems until the uk leaves then the eu will insist there are border checks .. why .. because if the eu decide here to start messing with its own rules to help a nation leave then everything is up for grabs including the EUs own future .. that is not a message the eu will be prepared to give the populists
@@imedi Exactly. And the EU exists solely to serve and protect itself to the exclusion of all else. Everything else is window-dressing to mask it's own agenda of self-preservation and expansion. Which is why Brexit is having every spanner in the toolbox thrown into it. You must have heard Verhofstadt's speech about the "problem" being that nation states aren't giving up enough sovereignty and power to the EU? And the vehement denials of plans for an EU military. In fact, calling the very notion a huge conspiracy theory. Followed rapidly by... Active plans for an EU military. And on and on. This backstop nonsense is a distraction. "Look how many problems there are when a member decides to leave our wonderful, benevolent organisation! Much better to stay in it (at least until we've tied up all the loopholes we hadn't noticed and made it _completely_ impossible to leave. At which point we can do whatever we please and there won't be a thing you'll be able to do about it...)" This is where we're heading, unless somebody stops the EU before they _are_ completely unassailable. We're supposed to learn from history, but we don't. Each new generation is the optimistic frog that believes the scorpion when he promises not to sting and kill it. Edit: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m41Tdl5mvdg.html
Why not ask the SNP on the border issue? After all the want to leave the UK but stay in the EU!? It's the issue we have with Ireland and the EU...Oh wait the mainstream media doesn't want to highlight that because it doesn't fit their agenda
its not the same. Scotland could do that, the issue is a peace agreement signed by ireland, NI and the UK that says conditions in NI and the republic have to be the same. Brexit wants to change those conditions. You cant take NI out of the EU and leave Ireland in.
There could be a hard border between an independent England and an EU Scotland. It'd be an inconvenience for many, but there is no thought that it might lead to Scottish Troubles. Ireland's border could well lead to a return to violence past.
NO DEAL BREXIT People voting for NO DEAL BREXIT want the Backstop which means NO BORDER IN IRELAND. We love our fellow Irish people. The Remainers are trying to say that no deal means an Irish border this is not true it's propaganda to stop No Deal
