Sir, we understood about calibration and it's content very clearly. Thank you. However I have small query on this that's how to take decision on instrument/gauge ref with its error which means how much error we can accept for respective instruments/gauge. Acceptable percentage?

Hi friend, there is no specific error percentage for instruments. IS standard provides the max permissible error based on instrument and its range in microns or mm. Pls refer that standard.

Hi Murali, any instrument will be calibrated by using the master (with know value) and the error will be compared with the acceptance criteria as per standard. Then decision will be taken

Hi, your question is correct. It is not explained in our video. It will help others also. The acceptance criteria means, each industry will specify their acceptance error criteria for each instruments. If the calibration error is within their acceptance limit, that instrument will be used otherwise that instrument to be scrapped or reworked.
