Catharsis refers to a purification that is of a physiological nature according to Aristotle. He uses it in his Poetics to describe the effect of a dramatic representation on the viewer's emotions.
Catharsis involves the representation of a repressed act (by morality or even by the law) and its punishment, and it is this representation that frees and purifies the viewer from their passion.
The artworks, including acrylic and oil paintings, watercolors (Margareth Hauschka's wet-on-wet technique), drawings, and illustrations, are all original creations. These works were created during Art Therapy training at the Cassiopée Institute, during the Creatuition workshops (by the Souffle d'ArtMonie association in Cachan), and at the Artien artist studio in Montreuil from 2009 to 2015.
