Those that know Jesus know his voice. I see a lot of sceptical comments. I'd advise studying the Bible and history very well.

Hi. Thank you for explaining this. A question if I may: If my adult kids were never christened and don't go to church but do believe in God 100%, will they go to Heaven? Thank you

Here's my question: Where did this "relationship with Jesus" thing come from? I never heard a word about it until, at most, 30 years go. Where is the Biblical reference to this. In which version of the Bible? How does one know that Jesus is getting what he requires from this relationship? My wife lets me know verbally when our relationship isn't going well for her. Is Jesus going to communicate verbally? Throw objects, like my wife? Or is this one of those, "you'll feel it in your blood pump" things?

Ultimately according to the bible, God is perfect and if He were to judge us we would all fall short, but He does not want that because He loves us. For example, let's say that you were able to live a perfect life, none of your actions went against God (sin just means actions that go against God's ways) and you believed in Him- theoretically, you would be able to go to Heaven but you would not be able to save everyone and quite frankly it IS impossible to live a perfect life in this world. As much as we want to make the right choices, with good and "evil" at our disposal we can't help but choose both. So Christians believe God took a bit of Himself and through the spirit when Mary accepted she gave birth to a man that was half God and half-human. So when that man was able to live a perfect life, when He died a piece of God died too so that God could pay the price that we could not. Because before Jesus, if God judged us we would all fall short which is why people had to do some weird things and rituals in the old testament in order to prove to God their love for Him and "cleanse" themselves. But the old testament prophecizes that someone would come and pay the price and be the Messiah. Ultimately Jesus was not the king people thought He was going to be and that is because Jesus' job on Earth was to die and He will be the King of Heaven for eternity which we cannot comprehend. That is what the first step is fear/doubt, how can you not fear something you cannot comprehend? Now Jesus preaches that all you have to do is believe that through Him dying and through His resurrection was proof that He was not a normal person and salvation is possible. You see, God does not want us to fall short or die, He wants us to live but where does he draw the line? Jesus says those who believe that He died and that our actions on this Earth cannot separate us from God's eternal love and all we have to do now is just believe. Where the New Testament is filled with guidelines for us to follow in order for us to not go through pain and suffering on this Earth because He does not want us to go through that, but none of your actions can ever guarantee eternal life nor separate you from His love. Ultimately God just wants a real relationship with you and that was made possible through Jesus' death so we cannot fall short anymore, God sees you as perfect as long as you believe and I am telling you if you consistently show God that you want to have a relationship with Him, He will show you how really alive He is and the more you learn about God through a relationship with Him, it changes your heart. But He is a spirit, not alive in the way where we can see with our eyeballs. Sorry for the book and thank you for reading if you got this far!!!

@@x3ena571 I'm old and I've read the Bible and I'm not impressed. I just thought there might be specific part of the Bible that talks explicitly about having a personal relationship with Jesus. I wondered if I'd missed it. To be honest I suspect it's a concept invented in the last few decades.

I think that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit ultimately represents the relationship we have with ourselves. God is the best possible person we see in ourselves, Jesus represents all the action we take to enlighten ourselves and become that person and the Holy Spirit is the voice of reason within ourselves. Without these qualities, humanity cannot function, communicate and create.

So if someone thinks the Bible is inspired but understands it differently than you do, does that mean he is not a Christian?
@MichaelShrock
@MichaelShrock 2 года назад
That’s a big topic and depends, every version of the Bible reads differently and every person has a different understanding in life. Hence everyone would understand the Bible a little differently anyway. So in order for everyone to believe the Bible the exact same, everyone would have to think exactly the same and read the same verson of the Bible. The answer to your question varies on the topic, if it’s a core topic, then yes, but if it’s not a core topic, then no. Core topic: through Jesus Christ you can be born again and saved from the wrath of God; not a core topic: if you drink an alcoholic beverage you’re not a Christian - Kind of a poor example but you get my drift.

Which of the following doctrines do you think are most widely believed by professed Christians in the twenty-first century? That God has predetermined that some humans will be saved and that others will be lost. That the Decalogue (ten commandments) has been changed or abolished or that it pertains only to Hebrews. That sprinkling or pouring water can be considered “forms” of baptism. That humans have innate immortality or an immortal soul. That tithing is only for Hebrews. That the futurist eschatology promoted by John Darby, John Schofield, Hal Lindsey and others is biblical and no other eschatological systems (historicist, preterist or allegorical) are biblical. That “religious liberty” means freedom to use the government (or taxpayers’ money) to promote religious beliefs, freedom to legislate morality, freedom to enforce religious prohibitions, freedom to discriminate against people with whom Christians disagree, freedom to discriminate against people whose lifestyles Christians disapprove or some combination of these definitions. That there should be no behavior criteria for full voting membership in any Christian congregation or denomination.

Is it necessary that to be a Christian, one must belive in the whole of Bible? Or we can choose to disbelieve certain sentences? Just like how to be a Muslims one must belive in each and every sentence of the Quran.

If you preach charity, you could be canonized. If you preach justice, you could be crucified.
@rogermetzger7335
@rogermetzger7335 2 года назад
I don't think it was necessarily true in the past but, to many people in the twenty-first century, charity means helping people with your own time, talents or money while justice means helping people with other people's money.

If Jesus died for all my sins.. Does that mean that if I believe in Jesus I can sin as much as I want, because he already died for my sins ? I mean... What if the whole mankind did no wrong and stopped sinning, which is supposedly the purpose, then what did Jesus die for ? Did he die in vain ?

the world won't stop sinning, and Jesus died for your sins but that doesn't mean you should abuse what he did for you by deliberately sinning.

Also, It is scientifically proven that there are things that hurt even more than crucifixion... or hurt as it. Also, before christ, many died by the crucifixion method, Jesus was not the only one... Then can we say that they died for our sins too ? Or rather didn't die for their sins ?

Trash the Trinity doctrine because it's not in the Bible, it comes from the Councils of Men.
@levikaplan2951

There is something really wrong with saying "if we believe". How can your "belief" in a theological proposition as true give you salvation? Something seems wrong here? Another problem here is that you forgot to say that one must worship a Jewish man as his God. This is inhuman. It's cruel to ask another human being to worship (a) worship a human being, and (b) a human being that doesn't belong to his or her ethnicity nor ancestry. Another problem here is that one must forgo his or her dignity in his or her ancestry and ethnicity. For if the Jewish ancestry/ethnicity saves humanity (Jesus is Jewish and a God), then that ancestry/ethnicity is of higher status. Christianity makes no sense to me and it seems very cruel to human being.

Hey, how are you? I am doing lots today but I am getting true biblical answers ready for your three questions which I’ll have ready by the end of the day. I hope I can help, I am quite disappointed by how they went through explaining Christianity. They went through it so carelessly but I’ll get back to you by the end of the day and hopefully I can Make Christianity easy for you to understand, because really, Christianity is very simple.
