Shot Quality represents the skill required to play any given shot. It is shown as a single number between zero and 200. Zero represents the worst possible outcome, such as hitting your drive out of bounds. 100 represents the level expected of a tour player, while 200 represents perfection, such as a hole on one or holing out from down the fairway.
Clippd’s algorithms process all this Shot Quality data to reveal a golfer's Player Quality. Player Quality represents their current skill level, overall and in each part of their game. Like Shot Quality, it is represented as a single number between zero and 200. Player Quality is more dynamic and more sensitive to current form than handicap. It shows a player’s skill level today.
As players enter more rounds and activities, Clippd's AI learns about their game. This learning produces What To Work On, effectively each individual player’s unique golfing DNA.
What To Work On shows the importance of skills to scoring. It shows the opportunities golfers have to improve based on the levels they have been at previously. It also reveals whether each part of their game is trending up or down. This information is presented in a personalised, data-driven priority list to help focus practice and make the best decisions.
