Las -Beat the 25 mW transmitter was a Ramsey 25B, I believe. Ramsey stopped making radio kits, so I think you'll have to get them secondary market now. They also made a 1-watt version.

@@brettcooper3893 Decade makes (or did) the MS 100, which is FCC certified Part 15. They're not cheap, though: $600. The 1-watt version, in a place like SF, will definitely get you a knock from an FCC field agent.

@@mohamedsallukamara47 Community stations are funded in either, or both of these two methods - 1) Listener Subscription at a set dollar figure, usually yearly. 2) Corporate Sponsorship with an on-air acknowledgement.

@Neil Forbes the community radio station *IN MY AREA the slogan *Keeping the community informed* comunity radio wasn't originally set up for people *just to play music* its to to keep the community informed with announcements what is happening in the area have special guests coming in to tell what their background is and so on

@@top40researcher31 Port Stephens FM was, during its aspirant days, running info segments among the music shows, but latter presidents want to push info shows aside in favour of music. I ran one segment for an hour on Monday Nights as part of my role as a Publicity Officer for the Nelson Bay Marlins Football Club("soccer") competing in the then *Interdistrict First Division.* It was promoting Football at a Community level on a Community station but arseholes on the committee wanted to get rid of the segment because they considered the level of competition to be "tin-pot". They were trying to run a commercial station on a community licence.

@@top40researcher31 I'll just clarify - What they were trying to do was to emulate the local commercial stations(2KKO-FM, 2NEW-FM and 2NXX-FM) by playing mainstream Pop and Rock during the day, pushing aside any presenters who wanted to cater for elderly listeners in nursing homes. It didn't matter to this committee that nursing home residents usually went to bed at 7.00pm but that's the timeslot they(the committee) wanted to give such shows that catered to such audiences. The committee that expelled me, based entirely on *BALD-FACED LIES* is the committee that wanted to make PSFM sound commercial instead of staying true to the community it was meant to serve.
