Jn 3:16 - Everyone who ever existed will believe in Jesus and worship Him. Phil 2, Rev 5. Mt 10:28 - Jesus makes a distinction between "kill" and "destroy" in this passage. God will destroy most souls in Gehenna. Their sinful self-centredness will be destroyed. Their works will be destroyed. 1 Cor 3 Matt 16 2 Pet 2:6 Just as Sodom was burned to ashes and yet Lot and his daughters survived. So those who go into Gehenna will be burned to ashes and yet survive 1 Cor 3. Not only so but God has promised to restore Sodom and in like fashion those who go into Gehenna will be restored. Ez 16. Eternal Life means Life that comes from an Eternal source, God. Jesus is the resurrection Jn 11. All people are resurrected in Christ, that is why all the dead are raised immortal. 1 Cor 15.

This was a pretty disappointing video As a young adult(almost 18), this is the first I’ve heard of this, annihilationism, etc But when there are two sides to an argument, eg Christianity vs islam , more often than not its clear which is trying to be truthful, one side normally loves to 1. Make silly arguments and take verses out of context 2. *Attack straw man* In most Christian -Muslim debates it’s crystal clear the Muslim has to do gymnastics with both the Bible and the quran, in order to get it to say what they want it to say Similarly, in this case, I already see a gaping hole in your argument (I’m open to be wrong) : How does 10s of Bible verses claiming that “He who does XYZ will have eternal life” EVER, mean that anyone who DOESN’T, will therefore die ? Youre making an argument from silence, which 9/10 times means what youre believing is false Feel free to prove me wrong But please, start by ACTUALLY quoting a verse that’s NOT an argument for silence, and actually AT LEAST ALLUDES to the idea that those in hell will eventually ceas to exist.

For example imagine I said “Anyone who smokes has an increased risk of a stroke” By your logic, anyone who doesn’t smoke must have a decreased risk of stroke Which is not true... seeing as there can be *other factors at play*

lil ggs, thanks for taking time to watch and comment on my video. I want to respond to the main content and points you made in your comment, but first I want to share two points of agreement with you. 1. I agree that Muslims often make poor arguments. I lived in a Muslim majority nation for 14 years where I constantly shared the good news about Jesus with my Muslim neighbors. 2. I agree that it is important to look at what the Scripture actually says. I'll try to respond to your points in separate comments.

lil ggs, let's begin by looking at the first verse I quote in the video: CSB17 John 3:16 For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. This verse does give a condition for having eternal life. That was my point. Do you believe that those who do not believe in Jesus will have eternal life? The verse specifically contrasts eternal life with the fate that would have happened to us if we did not believe in God's Son. That fate is to "perish." If someone had a cousin who was serving in a war zone and was captured and it was believed that he was being held in a dungeon and tormented, they would not say "My cousin has perished." But, if they had a cousin who was completely incinerated by a large IED, then they would say, "My cousin perished in the war." So John 3:16 not only teaches that you must believe to have eternal life, it also teaches that the alternative to eternal life is perishing.

lil ggs, another verse I quoted was Romans 6:23: CSB17 Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. According to this verse, the alternative to eternal life (which only comes through the gift of God in Christ Jesus our Lord) is death.

At the 6:01 mark I share two more Bible references that explicitly state the fate of the unsaved: CSB17 Matthew 10:28 Don't fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul; rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. CSB17 2 Peter 2:6 and if he reduced the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes and condemned them to extinction, making them an example of what is coming to the ungodly; These verses teach that that God will destroy the souls and bodies of the unsaved in hell and that they will be reduced to ashes and condemned to extinction. That's not an argument from silence!

Wonderful video!!oh what a blessing. I do have a question though. What about thousands of ppl claiming they died n went to a literal hell n or where shown hell to only be sent back to warn us all to the horrors. Are they all have mental issues??Or they claim they have an out of body experience seeing n visiting heaven n hell..Please ,I am confused I would love n answer to this n I think many more would too. Thank you. God Bless you! 🕊🙏🕊

That's a good question. The simple answer is that I trust the Bible far more than I trust people's reports of what they claim to have seen when they died or during some other type of experience. The people might have seen things based on what they've heard and seen about hell. It might not have been a true vision from God. They might exaggerate. Some of them might even lie. If they did see something, it may have been the intermediate state and not what happens at final judgment. Or it may have been symbolic like many of the visions God gave people throughout the Bible, but they misunderstood it to be literal. I can't explain those visions. I don't know those people. But I know the Bible is God's Word. I trust it. If someone says they have a vision that is contrary to the Bible, then their vision is not true (or not correctly understood).

@@MarkWCorbett1 thank you so much for taking the time out of your very busy day to answer my question it was so much appreciated.I sort of thought in my mind somewhat the same way as you described but I needed your confirmation and clarification to help my 75 yr old brain lol. Yes,I am a born again believer, lost my soulmate husband 2 yrs ago who loved the Lord n miss him a lot. I fully believe what you believe n lately just been troubled like you where, not for myself but for others, that might “miss the mark, believe but maybe just not quite right as I have been taught that even though you might have high reverence to God,Jesus Christ still not make heaven, just never sat well with me. As much as I read my Bible, thank God for you to reveal the Greek,Hebrew interpretation on hell especially in the KJV ,the more I read, prayed n ask the Holy Spirit to open my eyes to the truth of his word I always struggled with the “hell” forever torment theory. It’s frightening how many born again Christians just except ppl being tortured forever by demons!!!I mean they hardly question it,just except it without question. It’s almost like they either delight in it,refuse to research it thinking well there Pastor says this or that so I won’t question it. Anyway Thankyou again ,God Bless you n keep up your wonderful work in the Lord!!✝️🕊🙏🕊

I have to say that in Revelation 14:9-11 And a third angel followed them, calling out in a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image, and receives its mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10, he too will drink the wine of God’s anger, poured undiluted into the cup of His wrath. And he will be tormented in fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb.11, And the smoke of their torment rises forever and ever. Day and night there is no rest for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” So something is quite clear here, anyone taking the mark of the beast or the number of his name or the beast will go to hell. This all takes place after the when Christ returns at a time when the beast and the false prophet have been running planet earth for 7 years. These people go to hell or the lake of fire called the second death. The lake of fire is called the second death in the book of revelation but why ? Because most of the people going into hell are those that have been raised from the dead to be judged therefore when they go into the lake of fire their bodies burn up leaving just their spirit man and their soul "mind will and emotions" these are tormented in the presence of Gods holy angels and the smoke of that torment rises for ever and ever. In forever and ever they have no rest night and day. To think that some are teaching that these spirits are not alive in hell is contradicting the text of the bible itself. Even Jesus gave us the parable of the rich man in hell. Luke 16:19-31 19 “There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 20 At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores 21 and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24 So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’ 25 “But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’ 27 “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’ 29 “Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’ 30 “‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’ 31 “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’”

Why is Revelation 14:9-11 in eternity?! It's describing the judgments in history on earth at the end of chapter 14 and in chapter 16. Read the whole chapter and the two chapters after it.

@@Mrm1985100, whether it's in eternity or not, the punishment is unending. "the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever" - Rev. 14:11. Eternity means a state or condition that has no end.

The Luke passages are prior to the return of Christ, when Death and Hell still exist. Recall that when Christ returns and there is the resurrection, Death and Hell are cast into the lake of fire (Rev. 20), which is the second DEATH. The rich man’s conscious was in “hell” the grave, but I do not believe it is physical fire. What good does physical fire do on a spirit? Jesus even said “a spirit does not have flesh and blood.” Then He ate the fish, proving He was not a spirit. In the Revelation 14 passage you quote I think you have to look at the word “torment.” It is basanismos, which is the past tense of basanizo, which means “to test against a black stone.” What I believe the Revelation 14 passage is revealing to us is those who took the mark of the beast have been/will be tested against or measured against the righteous standard of Christ, found falling short, and will be destroyed in the winepress of God’s wrath. The result (smoke) of that destruction is permanent and eternal. The beast, false prophet, and those who took the mark will forever be known to have fallen short of the standard righteous measure of Christ. The rich man was in a “place” of torment, where “place” means “state” of torment. The word “torment” is the same, basanismos. This means he was/is conscious, but now aware of the truth he is measured against that he faces from God, and finds he is falling short. He is now vexed and in anguish and wants comfort but will not get it. He wants his brothers to not be in the same state but they had the existing word of God that if they would obey it, they would not find themselves in this state. And because he is found falling short, he will be destroyed in the end. I said all that to say I don’t believe the language of the Bible supports the idea of eternal conscious torment. I know it’s tradition, but if tradition is not supported by the Bible, then we need to change our tradition.

@@minimations8697 I believe it’s annihilation. That’s everlasting punishment. It’s not everlasting punishment in a fiery torture chamber. We get the idea of hell from renaissance art and literature and pagan beliefs. Johnathan Edwards did a sermon in 1741 called sinners in the hands of an angry God. He scared people so bad they were clinging to anything they could to keep from falling into hell. Shall not perish. Perish means to be destroyed to cease to exist not burn for eternity. I blame the church for these unbiblical teachings. I’ve had problems my whole life from what I heard and seen as a child but now I have a different outlook on things and annihilation is the only thing that makes sense. Also Sheol. Hades, Gehenna, Tartarus, Pit. None of those are the common belief in “Hell”. Sheol meant grave so did Hades. They didn’t believe in an afterlife in the Old Testament let alone hell. Gehenna or The Valley Of Hinnom was an actual place in Jerusalem where children were sacrificed to the false god Molech. There was a statue that stayed burning hot. They placed the child on the hands of the statue If the child died he or she was thrown to the ground to burn up. That’s weeping and gnashing of teeth. The weeping was crying and gnashing of teeth was anger for their children and not about people burning in a dungeon. Then decades later a new young King decided no more child sacrifices. It then became the city garbage dump. The Valley still exist today so you can go there and stand in “hell” So the verse of if your hand causes you to sin cut it off. If your eye causes you to sin pluck it out. That was wasn’t literal it was to say if your have sin in your life it’s garbage get rid of it. Gehenna was a garbage dump but instead of Gehenna the word hell was used. He was talking in a way they understood back then and they knew what He was saying. We have different English words that mean something completely different. That’s very common with translations from Greek to English. At at sometime in history the translators decided where to put hell in place of other words. Tartarus was Greek mythology and it’s was a cage built for falling angels that did evil. It was never intended for humans at all. It was a pagan belief that didn’t exist and it eventually made its way into some teachings we have today. I believe the common belief is wrong on hell. it’s was started a few centuries ago and was passed down from generation to generation so it was seared into peoples heads and how dare you question the people of authority when in all actuality the don’t have authority at all. The righteous will have everlasting life the “wicked” I hate that word but they will be destroyed. There can’t be everlasting life for both sinners and believers. The sinners will perish burnt up destroyed total separation from God for eternity. They won’t be concussion for eternity they won’t exist, anymore.
