I got a shock when she said she completed her CA in 2008. She looks young so i was shocked. Second shock when she introduced her mother in law and a third one when she spoke about her son. I was like she even has a son!!! She looks young.

@@curious5218 liablities/equity= below 2 should be ideal. 1 means 50% profit goes to debt, 50% to shareholders equity.. 0 means debt free company

why return on equity in case 1 does not deduct the actual amount of debt taken ? For debt@14% - 70 was deducted to get PAT but why not 500. In actual loans we repay interest and the base too ? thanks.

How do I figure out quarterly debt/borrowing and cash flow statement of the company? Companies usually share these transactions on yearly financial statements but not on quarterly statement.

In the first two cases described starting from approximately 11.50 minutes where the ROE is 26% and 20 % you have divided Profit AFTER Tax by Equity.. In the last example starting at 20.0 minutes when you calculate ROE you have used a different formula viz Profit BEFORE Tax divided by Equity to get ROE as 5 %. why different formula used. Please clarify. In case CA Ranade cannot reply can any student clarify.

You have done wrong calculation in case 1 . The ROE in case 1, if profit is 200 and debt is 70 then ROE will be 13% Not 26%. Please correct it

why it is 130/500*100 and not 130/1000*100 where as in case 2 it is 200/1000*100, in the case 2 , 1000rs has raised from public itself then it is 200/1000*100 understood what if you have raised funds through friends (who does not what 14% return )and as well from debt. what will be the divisor ??
