I never thought this would happen to me, but I was driving home from the gym. I just wasn’t feeling it so I left. Driving home I started feeling my heart beat harder, shortness of breath, nausea, and sweat just stopped. I stopped to get a liter of water, but I drank it all in seconds. I got home finally and drank 3 more liters before needing to pee. Thanks for this video, and now I’ll be more self aware.
How long did you experience the shortness of breath. I have all your symptoms but thinking maybe it’s corona. My anxiety is off the roof! Pls reply back!
@@leximarie6097 Dehydration normally lasts for minutes to hours and would normally be over a day after you treat this. I had severe dehydration today and I believe you would tell that you are dehydrated if you are, as I did and so did my sister.
@@leximarie6097 It takes several hours for the symptoms of dehydration to go away after you drink enough water. It's better to drink more water than needed than to risk not drinking enough. Drinks which contain sugar, sodium, alcohol and several other chemicals will either fail to hydrate you or make dehydration even worse. Pure water is the most effective way to hydrate. Coconut water can help replace lost electrolytes. American nurses are not trained to know how long people can last or understand dehydration. I know a nurse who was not drinking water when fasting for 24 hours. She was very skeptical when I told her that fasting from drinking water is bad for you and that dehydration could become lethal within a couple days. This video is going to be among a couple resources I include in my blog post on dehydration. senzuhp.com/blog
I always sucked at drinking water and kept getting UTI but recently I started feeling fatigue that came along with heart palpitations. I thought something was wrong with my heart everything came out normal except I was dehydrated. I been drinking water and drinking Pedialyte. I'm still feeling some symptoms but I realize it's probably gonna take a minute for me to build my body back up from dehydration. Good informative video because I noticed some videos don't touch on heart palpitations when it comes to dehydration.
This just happened to me.. I was riding my motorcycle to sturgis from Missouri. About 30 miles away from sturgis while riding I suddenly felt faint to the point I was seeing spots. I was able to pull over and get a bite to eat still not knowing I was dehydrated but my heart was racing. I got to the campground and was so lethargic all I wanted to do was sit down. While sitting my vision suddenly turned into something that I’ve never experienced. It was like looking at a negative picture. Brights and darks . I woke up to my wife yelling my name and my friend was on the phone to 911. I had passed out and stopped breathing. I thought I had a heart attack but it turned out to be severe dehydration. It almost killed me. It was an eye opener for sure. Just thought I’d share something that happened 1 week ago today.
I just had kinda that experience passed out at work and they had to call 911 and passed out again on the way to the hospital I never knew not drinking much water could cause all these problems but it did for me also now water is my best friend
I learned a lot throughout this video like how urine becoming concentrated during dehydration causes its yellow color and that 'cardiac output' is the amount of blood pumped into the body, which is lessened as blood vessels construct and focus on major organs rather than skin in order to preserve water. however, my favorite takeaways are how bangin this cartoon guy's home entertainment system is. who you kno with a speaker system taller than their 65" television? and what's the cathode rig on that TV stand?? I also wasn't prepared for the heavy funeral scene amidst the light and cheery background music, with the two kids balling as they lose a loved one to the lethality of dehydration. all jokes aside, thx for this one, stay hydrated yall
Severe dehydration is the most agonizing thing I've ever been through, and I've detoxed off opiates and benzodiazepines. When you get really dehydrated your body is missing the most essential thing it needs to survive, and it starts to shut down which is absolute hell. I've had it badly before from various medications and detoxing, but today I got it from non stop diarrhea. Take it very seriously.
I am happy i found this video before the symptoms have gotten worse. All i experience is light headedness, a dry mouth, shortness of breath and dry skin. I dont drink alot of water because im scared to drink *too* much water, i get now that drinking too much water is pretty rare and that i will have to set alarms every hour for water to get hydrated again.
I had to go to the hospital because I was throwing up for a week straight and I thought I had a a stomach bug, but it was actually I was so dehydrated that my body was starting to shut down and because I wasn’t drinking water. And I had to get pumped with 4 bags of that’s clear stuff in the bag, the first day I was there. I was there for 4 days I’m 15.. and it was so scary for my father to watch me stay in the hospital for that long, and it’ was scary for me.. it was bad..
I struggle with alcoholism and the days after i have been indulging, i can drink 4 - 5 pints of water without even needing to pee at all. I also use nicotine products so that does not help my hydration either. Usually i squeeze a lemon or an orange in my water to give it a bit of flavor. I remember i was so dehydrated one time i started developing small open sores on my face. So keep drinking your water ppl.
Never ignore what your body is trying to signal , never in my wildest dreams I thought I'll become this sick due to dehydration it has been 6 days my fever hasn't got down surviving on dolo Took 3 bottle of dips 1st time in my life I was become soooo weak that I cant recognize myself , headache , dry cough , high fever , chills , high pule , low bp what not
I once had my blood tested for allergies. The appointment was in the morning. I don't drink a lot, and though they didn't say I had to fast before that, I didn't eat or drink anything since I got up, so by that point for about 10 hours counting in sleeping time. They tried on one arm, but no blood came out. They tried the other one, still no blood. Another nurse came and tried, still nothing. Then she asked me if I drank anything today, I said no. They gave me a glass of water, and 5 minutes later the blood was coming out with no problem. One nurse even joked I may be a vampire, I guess because I'm also very pale. But that was kinda scary, like how dehydrated do you have to be for the blood to stop coming out when directly puncturing a vein?
Same thing happened to me when I wasn't drinking enough water. My blood pressure was low. I remember it was 60/90 or something like that, and the nurses got me to drink a bottle of water and it went right up to normal levels.
When I was twelve it was like spring or something and it was really hot out, I wasn't drinking enough water so this one time I was in the shower washing my hair and I suddenly felt like I had a headache. I felt lightheaded, had nausea and everything was going blurry well I don't know if it was that blurry as I had glasses but I sat down running cold water and my mom and dad came in and asked what happened I told them and they told me I need to wash my hair quickly and get out. If I hadn't gotten out of the shower I probably would have collapsed because I was dehydrated. When I got out and got my clothes on I grabbed a big cup of water I drank the whole cup and I started feeling better. What I'm implying it please don't let yourself get to that point that you feel like your going to pass out.
Stared hallucinating from dehydration and man it’s you start losing touch with where you are and start entering a dream state all you know is you need water and start to lose your mind.
I tend to sweat a lot when I workout and I may overdo it causing me to feel lightheaded if I don’t drink enough water because each the intensity levels vary each day, so I gotta discipline myself to drink more water so I don’t get a headache after being lightheaded and vomit.
These symptoms are very scary. But I will admit my water intake has not been what it should be. Combine that with this 110 degree heat and it’s no joke! Stay safe everyone !
I always get leg cramps from not drinking water, below my stomach from hips down hurts like growing pains but way worse like knives going into my legs which causes me sometimes to not be able to move from where I am to find water cause if I walk it feels worse and worse
I was so dehydrated, my skin was extremly pale, i had lost a lot weight, my heart was about 165 all the time, blood pressure was very low, pee was almost brown, skin was hot and very dry, blood values were bad i had received 3 liters of infusions. Guys believe me THIS is horrible! You cant speak and chew cause your mouth is to dry and your teeth hurts, you have no appetite, you have nausea, you are weak and tired, always want to sleep, the body screams for water but if you can't- that's one of the horrible things !! You can't do anything if you are dehydrated for few days- not even sleep!
Experiencing this rn , my fever isnt going down completely and am feeling light headed Am trying to drink 6 to 8 lt per day its horrible Did u hv fever on n off for more than a week?
I was really dehydrated while watching this and felt so bad I took a nap. I woke up to find out I was dead💀 don’t play around every one or you’ll end up like me dead. Drink lots of water and Gatorade.
I feel it because i was standing 30 to 45min in one place in extreme heat because of sunrays in India... I just want to cut my hairs .. I get dehydrated with symptoms ,I am not able to see anything, then I feeling thirsty and not able to listen... Then I feel like i want to pee, But that time I said to my dad that i want some coconut water, in some distance from me a person was selling coconut juice... When i drink it after some 2 to 3min I was able to see everything and also all get well after it... I said dad ' let's goo to salon in the AC and sit'... We gone there I get better now... (it was a strict lock down and the salon that person was able to take 1 person in at a time... so we are standing outside) anyways it wasn't joke
I just got released from the hospital because I fainted due to dehydration as they say but it's the first time I ever fainted in my life since I am usually healthy, they did not let me go go until I did a million tests EDIT: I'm anemic🙁 I wasn't dehydrated
Yeah. It's scary. I have adhd and often forget to drink water. I have a water reminder on my phone but I never actually follow it. I pass out often, am really shaky, and I only poop like once a week.
How are u now? I’m getting lightheaded, dizzy, nauseous, brain foggy, pale and headaches. A few months back I got told I had a vitamin deficiency and I take pills for it they said I somewhat a of anemic. I haven’t been taking my pills because i read my antibiotics doesn’t go well with my vitamins so 🤷♀️ I sometimes feels lightheaded in the mornings specially without food but this is the first I had it all day...
@@Moonlightdarkness567 I'm good, I had iron infusions 2 months ago because my body can't absorb the iron from the pills. I'm not a doctor but I reccomend you to eat and drink a lot if you don't already especially if you have a uterus.
@@baguettefeet9994 thanks for the reply glad ur doing ok and I’m trying to drink water again specially the problem I’m having now. If I don’t feel better I’m really thinking about going to the doctor lol just went two weeks ago because I was sick ugh I hope I’m ok
I never feel thirsty so I got to the point I had to be on iv fluids to get me hydrated again. Still not feeling 100% but drinking more water and Gatorade to keep everything up. I may have to get more iv fluids though
I randomly threw up on 4 days ago. Felt fine but the next day I was throwing up from everything I drank and ate….it’s now Tuesday morning (it started Saturday) and I’m still nursing the toilet 🤢. I just keep drinking but feeling like shit
When do the dizziness stops?!?! Went and got iv and other test done snd everything came back fine. I’m can hold food and water down, but I’m still a bit dizzy when I get up and lay down.
I am currently ill, with fever. Last night, I was so severely dehydrated from my illness that I had to go to the hospital to receive iv fluids. A truly scary experience, because I thought I was drinking plenty of water
Traveling to Asia - I fear drinking too much water because I don't want to use the plane bathroom. The weather in Asia is hot, and I am constantly sweating. I had diarrhea after eating and got sweaty after exercise. Though I drank a lot of water, it was not enough to cover the loss of liquid due to diarrhea, exercise, and hot weather. By the time I got back home, I had to be admitted to the Emergency Room due to dehydration. I was getting nausea, headache, diarrhea, and stomach pain. I was told to be on a liquid diet for 3 days. It helps.
I was getting nervous because i have been feeling lightheaded for days. Then i remembered that a couple od days ago i have diarrhea and didn't drink enough water after. Always remember to drink enough water people.
It's. Been month I still feel lightheaded sometimes I feel like mind is not present ,I didnt know dehydration is such severe , heart beats , short of breath at nights , donno what to do , went to hospital they just gave me iv
Do dehydration reduce quality of the sleep cos even after 8hr of sleep, I can't even open my eyes .....like after waking up I sit somewhere and doze off.......the fatigue is soo out of my control......do that can be dehydration?
@@gowrijayakrishnan8226 umm... don't know I'm not a doctor but based on my experience i too suffered insomnia back in the day. I even remember that while I'm closing my eyes and in the verge of falling asleep my heart just suddenly beats fast and makes my entire body weak and in the morning my body just felt so weak and lightheaded that it was very hard for me to even walk. It wasn't a very pleasant experience. In your case it's best for you to get yourself checked by a doctor just to make sure there aren't any serious complications.
Well, according to this an all my other research I'm always dehydrated. Just wondering since I can't find it anywhere. Can the human body be constantly but not severely dehydrated. Like always mildly dehydrated so your uncomfortable but not inconvenienced? Cause if it's possible I've been dehydrated for the last 15 years. No matter how water I drink. And I drink like 4 litters a day
Anyone else who is experiencing waking up gagging because of dehydration? I always have a disgusting dream to start with, then waking up gagging with a dried out mouth :(
I literally was exercising just now some pushups and curls and squats, a few second later I felt so damn pain in my heart cuz it was beating so hard it was after exercise but still I know it was not regular heart rate of mine after workout. Felt some dizziness, nausia. I thought it was a heart attack for a moment but then I gulped 1L water straight and felt so damn good. I wasn't even sweating it was that serious. Please do not ignore these symptoms
It's crucial to take such symptoms seriously, and I recommend consulting a healthcare professional immediately to ensure your heart health is properly evaluated. ❤️
Had a huge 2day job on i think i got dehydrated the first day the second was a big struggle but i got it done... on the way home i stopped and bought a couple electrolyte drinks to sip by the time i got home i was feeling shakey and getting chills barley got a shower then went straight to bed and had a delirious night in bed chills in my lower back but extreme temperature in my head one of the worst experiences of my life. Took 3 days to feel a bit like myself again.
What about side pain, by lower abdomen? Is that part of dehydration? Had a side pain 24hrs, was uncomfortable. By next morning it wasn't as bad but still hurt. The pain from 1-10 was a 1. Just so annoying. I'm hoping it also isn't appendicitis either.
Hi to you both. I'm hoping that 1 year after you both made your comment, you are OK???(hopefully) I had exactly the same symptoms due to dehydration! Your side pains could be related to dehydration but could be fatty liver or gallstones as well Because of I was drinking alcohol so much because of I was drinking so much tea coffee and not enough water, so one night, I had a pain on my right hand side under the rib cage I had to have a trip to AE by an ambulance. Stay away from alcohol Stay away from sugar Do fasting even OMAD One Meal A Day it would save your life and health.
I blacked out today thinking I could do intense workout while my body is only going off of 2 poptarts I ate in the morning and drinking half a bottle of pedialyte before the excercise I had just got off quarantine and hadn't had water in 2 days
sometime i woke up in the night my heart palpitations, mouth & throat become dry, feeling little difficult after drinking water after sometime i feel ok. it is Dehydration or symtom of Sugar?
Sugar requires lots of water to diffuse it in the blood and throughout the system. My guess it's SUGAR or... Caffeine, Nicotine, Drugs of ANY kind and toxins that the body needs extra water to eliminate from the body. LIVE LONG AND HEALTHY 💧
Alright, I'm eleven. *turned 11 on 28th January* I usually dont drink a lot of water. Usually 3-4 glasses. But the most painful part is that I always feel like having the urge to pee everyday and when I go to the bathroom only a little amount comes out and it hurts so bad. I'm sorry but I really cant handle this pain anymore. I also have terrible itchy thing in my private part.i know I'm not supposed to be sharing such private information but this is serious
I’ve never fainted , But slowly I started drinking less and less water and I dident drink much water anymore so I dident get thirsty anymore which caused me to not drink a lot of water , I started peeing less my pee turned dark yellow I never ever sweated ever again (I still do not sweat) I started lately feeling dizzy all the goddamn time and it got more my skin became dry along with my lips , I never told my parents my sis doesent think it’s really that bad my breath is always bad even tho I got teeth clean and brush em , My brain started getting more confused I started feeling super duper tired (hell I’m even tired and dizzy rn) My pee was never ever pale yellow ever again! Gosh and now once my body touches hot hot boiling water or overheat I don’t sweat but I become sick and super tired heat runs all over my body but I do not sweat my throat is dry I eat a lot of food but my body is very weak most of the time idk what to do
I used to have dehydration a long time ago, the day I started becoming dehydrated was when I got nauseous and my heart was also racing making me not wanna eat my pizza, I also started having mood swings when I was crying for NO reason..Well it was for dehydration but I thought it was just me being stupid. And my stomach also felt weird like the butterflies but it didn’t go away. I searched it up why and it said stomach ulcer, but that’s NOT what tf I had😂 I started getting headaches because of my tight hair and ponytails, keep in mind I have a tender head so when my mom does my hair during/afterwards it hurts. It improved though because I used to cry so much that my mom gave me my favorite toy I really wanted to buy that she didn’t let me get so I can shut up. So idk if I have dehydration but I am also sweating a bit. I need to start drinking more water
does anyone have any tips on how to drink more because i HATE drinking water but i need to because i feel like i’m about to pass out everyday and struggle to breath and my heart beats very fast for no reason
You'll probably want to try drinking juices or milk. Juices have a lot of sugar but if you drink just water, you'll flush out your electrolytes and minerals and thus make it even worse. Are you eating foods that are hydrating? Fruit can be hydrating. If you aren't eating enough saturated fat and cholesterol you will be unhealthy too, despite what the mainstream says. Since we are made from saturated fat and cholesterol, especially your brain, you want to eat meat, saturated fat and cholesterol, which is why eggs are so good because they have protein, saturated fat and cholesterol, all in one nice package. Don't cook them too long or even eat raw if you can.
It's very humid and i also did an intense workout. I sweat a lot. And suddenly i got chest pain, palpitations, shortness of breath, chest tightness. Its been 4 days its not healing
I have chronic Ibs and feel always sick ,yes it causes dehydration but because its almost impossible to stop the symptoms constantly its like i have chronic dehydration it's so hard to bring myself back to feeling hydrated and alive.
While it's common for some people to have preferences when it comes to beverages, staying hydrated is crucial for overall health. If you find plain water unappealing, you can try infusing it with fruits, herbs, or even opting for flavored water options with no added sugars. Additionally, consuming hydrating foods like fruits and vegetables can contribute to your overall fluid intake. Ensuring you stay adequately hydrated is important for various bodily functions, so finding alternative ways to incorporate fluids that you enjoy can help maintain a healthy level of hydration.
@marusholilac Absolutely! A smart watch that can detect early signs of dehydration would be a game-changer, especially for athletes and those in hot climates. It’s a practical idea that merges health and tech perfectly, and whoever pioneers it is bound to see major success!
One day I did heavy workout in morning and run 4km in evening ...next day I can't get out of bed ..... cramps in leg , severe headache , lost unine and sweat ........since I live in hot and humid country , this dehydration took 2 days to get well ...........
I also did some workout for the first time at night and I went to bed without drinking anything, and I wake up the next day feeling severely dehydrated and very little and dark yellow urine, I did drink a lot of water afterwards and it gets better but not completely gone. Is this normal please reply me am really scared.
@@fb8763 nothing to worry..... soreness will persist for few days.....you will be fine if it's just dehydration by drinking water adding ORS Powder or normal water adding salt and lemon juice.........

I have a severe UTI. I went to ER and my urine looks like pure blood. I got Morphine for pain and a gram of rocephin IV. They sent me home with nothing for pain but keflex. I haven't been able to get my prescription yet. This was 4 days ago. They said my blood work shows dehydration. However, despite pyridium, it hurts so bad to pee I have limited myself to 16 oz of pop per 24 hours. Am I at a high risk of complications?
@@aprilmichellerose3687 I know. I need to get off of the pop. It's a hard habit to break. My Vit D is 3.4 and my PTH is 165. I am told this is really hard on my bones also. I will work on the water. I like to add lemon or cucumber to it. It improves the taste. Thanks.
lauren bahr I have a bad UTI right now and they told me to cut soda out completely. I also have kidney stones. I was drinking a lot of water, but I was drinking soda as well. I had to quit cold turkey and it’s hard because I’m suffering from headaches and the jitters. I hope you feel better.
already exp these symptoms muscle cramps, increased heart palpitations, light headedness, weakness, and low urine output when having a dehydration episode being cold and clammy can become fatal if body gets to cold or experiences a rapid body temperature change expect vertigo like symptoms and heightened heart palpitations best tactic I've noticed when experiencing such fatal situations randomly when standing is to lye on your back or side until symptoms disappear could be 1min could be 1hr (last episode happened midnight for about 15mins could be more or less idk i didn't time it just felt like a long time) if you don't die from trying to breathe as fast as your hearts racing you will feel as though you're suffocating that's if you don't suffocate altogether trying to breathe when dehydrated P.S. if you're having a dehydration episode avoid drinking water at moment of episode it could choke you when you're trying to breathe, drink water only after you caught your breath
It's crucial to take dehydration seriously and ensure proper hydration; consider seeking medical advice for personalized guidance on managing these symptoms effectively.
So the first time I’ve had this, my body started convulsing. I sat down and all of a sudden my left side of my face started dropping and my hands were like pins and needles. I went to the ER, and when I got there I lost my ability to speak. I was putting random words together that didn’t make sense then I just couldn’t talk. They got me in a room. All of a sudden I didn’t know where I was. I had to go pee in a cup and it took me 20 minutes to find the bathroom that was 6 feet away from me. I pissed on my hand. They said I was dehydrated then sent me home. I had severe cluster headaches all night. It was hell. I deal with it a couple times a year
What if you’re not necessarily dehydrated anymore (drank lots of water and pedialyte) but the back of your throat hurts really bad? Like it hurts swallowing
Is this because.... People are too busy with their life to drink water? It baffles me.... Like how hard is it to drink constantly if ure healthy... Not shaming just... Extremely curious.. It takes 2 seconds...
I usually drink load's but I'm sure I was dehydrated once when I took my kids to the sandcastle. I had only had a few sips of water. I had a cup of tea in the morning before we left. But when we were there I had a lemonade with my meal and nothing else. I never swallowed any of the chlorinated water in the pool. I was ok until we went to get changed then felt sick and dizzy. We went for a cup of tea in the cafe I was sweating but thought I would be ok after a brew but I barfed when we were waiting for our drinks. My daughter was ok but i have to make sure she drinks plenty because she has an health condition. I couldn't drink my tea my daughter had my share. They brought me a jug of water and I quickly recovered so wasn't a bug. But I had never felt so sick in my life and always make sure I drink plenty now.
Drinking too much water will also dehydrate you. You should drink very little water unless you are sweating a lot. Best to drink water with something in it, like juice or even milk is good to drink. Also, eggs are good for hydration. Most of our fluids are in our foods, especially if you're eating meat, eggs and saturated fat. Dairy is good too but not necessary.
I woke up so dehydrated I thought I was just sleepy but as soon as I stood up I did not feel right then I drunk some water and felt normal. (edit) I only felt normal for a few seconds then I felt lightheaded also I felt like I had to throw up turns out I had to poop and now I’m just in my bed because every time I stand up I am very lightheaded.Oh and I have a headache and my temperature is 96.
Going through a similar situation.. I sometimes feel dizzy and lightheaded but yesterday I was in the store and started to feel lightheaded I thought maybe I needed to eat but I ate and I start to feel more nauseous than before. Afterwards we went to another store and I felt fine for a few than started to feel dizzy, lightheaded, brain fog, headaches, and nauseous feeling it got so bad when I unlocked the door it felt like everything was moving around me and I was about to fall... my temp is 99.6 didn’t have fever yesterday it was normal but I do have wired chills
Yes, two days ago I stood up too fast after laying down for a long time and I got too dizzy to the point where I fainted. And dehydration can get you dizzy when you’re standing up
