I take 200 mg a day first thing when I wake up so it binds to my T. last year I was 196 with high cholesterol. Today I'm 159 with muscle. I'm 43 and feel great.
@@jameslefleur1970 I think most brands use the same stuff. But whatever brand, you should look at the "micronized" type which supposedly absorbs better.
You have to take it as soon as you wake up. Woman over 25 take 50 - 100 mg and men over 25 need to take 100 - 200. This is the sweet spot. You won't even need to exercise. First thing in the morning. FIRST THING!
@@guuseh2918 Yes. The moment you wake. It will work with your most dominant hormone. You could even keep it by the bed the first few weeks till you're on a schedule. Do something like 12 weeks on 2 weeks off. Good luck. It's also great for healing adrenal fatigue. I had terrible adrenal fatigue after Lyme disease. DHEA fixed me up good. I love the stuff.
@@DatKundalini Thanks so much. I am taking 25 mg of Pure Encapsulations brand at the moment. I started taking 10 mg with food in the morning. Funny enough, I felt a lot better with 10 mg with food (calmer, put a stop to my cycling thoughts). I hope you don't mind me asking you more questions? How long have you been taken DHEA, what brand do you take, and have you ever gotten your level tested? Again, thanks in advance.
Here in Denmark, our national anti drug administration considers DHEA an anabolic steroid. I had no idea as I ordered this supplement online and got arrested by the police. Better do more research about your particular laws in your country before you buy this in supplemental form.
Exactly. Countries other than the USA don't sell this supplement because they know what it can do to you. I don't understand why it's still on the shelf. Well actually I do understand. Big Pharma wants it on the shelf because they are getting rich from it. You can read above, it ruined my life. I ended up with a complete nervous breakdown.
I am 74, with high cholesterol, fairly high spousal stress, weening myself off antidepressants, low libido...how much dhea should I be taking and when?
Hello Frances, would dhea benefit someone already diagnosed with rhumatoid arthritis or would it be too late by then? Very good post by the way, very clear and concise.
Hello I’m 58 female, hysterectomy at 34 ovaries left, what dose of DHEA do you recommend. I have-been on hrt oestrogen only patch, for 6 years, had to come off because of headaches. I know have terrible fatigue burning in my knees, osteopenia, depression ( on sertralene)headaches, insomnia, stress, anxiety, hot flashes etc. I’m awaiting for blood tests which I paid for privately as the doctors are not helpful at all. I’ve had a consultation at a menopause clinic which suggested oestrogen and testosterone? But I am waiting for my blood results to indicate my hormone levels. My question is would DHEA be sufficient to regulate my hormones and what dose do you recommend or do I need oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone, I’m so confused have no energy, and feel dreadful. Thankyou.
A good video, but the specific accent is very strong and difficult to understand at times. Steps sounds like "stips", Better sounds like "bitter", Factors sounds like "fectors" etc
@@CrackheadMeow I just got my order of Annas WYC, my naturopath prescribed testosterone but I dont want to use it. I ditched the DR and ordered the Annas. How are you doing with the combination? Im 60
@@thetackroomtx I have started the DHEA yet, but Anna’s WYC has been a life saver for me. I’m 21, so I used it for regulating my cycle and relieving cramps, not for menopause. But so far it has worked wonders. I must say the constant application of it is annoying, but all my symptoms of my period have gone away. No more cramps, bloating, fatigue, heaviness, or dizziness. It’s a fantastic cream and hopefully it’ll help you too. If you want more info about what hormones the cream balances search Dr. Barbara ONeil and hormones on RU-vid. She is so knowledgeable and will give u a better idea of which hormones are affected.
That wild yam cream does not contain estrogen. It has a very small amount of progesterone. It’s 100% safe because it is 100% ineffective. I suggest that you address your fear by increasing your knowledge so that you can choose a pathway that is effective for your maladies.
Yes, I believe so. Perhaps you could go to the life extension foundation website. You can google “life extension foundation women hormone replacement”. You can google “life extension foundation DHEA” or pregnenolone. Both hormones can be purchased OTC. Also, if you’re cancer prone you need to get advice from a bioidentical hormone doc. LOOK FOR A RU-vid BY searchING dr berg DIM ANTI CANCER.
I'm 65, been taking 100mg. 3 times a day for few years, no problems. I also take 50mg per day Pregnenolone. Have gone has high as 6-800mgs. a day when I was working and working out a lot. But didn't stay with it that long. Knew Power lifters that did though without problems. Watch Your hair, problems with urinating (prostate),get HDL & LDL levels checked Anything gets out of whack, cut Your dose. Take DIM 3 times a day also. Also find a good Tribulus product. Take 1000mgs. per day, but cycle 4-8 wks. on, then 2-4 wks. off, to keep from losing it's effect. Problem with DHEA can be absorption, means You may not utilize all that You take. A lot of info on the web. Do some research and good luck.
Everything above 100 mg is risky. Start from 50 mg and do it for two month while slowly increasing to 100 mg a day to fight tolerance. Then stop for two weeks and start again from 50mg. Do not swallow but put under your tongue and keep so for 15 min until it will be dissolved in mucus and absorbed in your mouth.
Hello i am have 35 years old i have two pregnancy lost and i want to have a baby i have done my test dhea and The rezult is 0,170 ng/ml and 0,589 nmol/L what can i do?thank you for your future answer
Can you tell something about hairloss from dhea? I read a couple of reviews of people who had that. I have some symptoms which can be dhea related. I am a wonan, 41 and my dhea level is 156
Take magnesium with DHEA AS magnesium can inhibit the activity of 5-alpha-reductase, an enzyme that converts testosterone to DHT. By inhibiting the activity of this enzyme, magnesium can help to reduce DHT levels in the body, which can help to prevent hair loss, irritability, headaches etc.
If you have to read it to tell it, you don't really understand it. I understand it because I took it. It works on the glands in your brain, adrenal glands, and gonads. It changes your body chemistry. Your character, personality, morals, strength, aggression, and on and on can change. It totally ruined my life. If you plan to take this supplement, don't do it yourself. Go to a doctor and tell them everything you are feeling. I had to go on disability from having a total nervous breakdown. I did things I would never do normally. I had no idea something on the store shelf near a vitamin which in 1996 said Natural Yam Extract with NO warnings at the time could change my life. I thought I was taking something from a sweet potato. I will never get over what happened to me.
From most clinical studies, dhea seems to favour women more than men..is this true? Can men with Low Testosterone increase Testosterone to a normal range with Dhea.? Dhea -S readings is at 278ug/dl
Don’t know. I’m a woman and I feel really irritable on it. Not even prednisone made me irritable. I’m going to keep it up for a couple weeks. Maybe I will adjust. It’s like that with progesterone and also psych meds.
Yeah, Doctor Pitsallis, it would be helpful if you would post links to the studies that you referenced. Otherwise you are just another idiot on RU-vid schilling for some magic supplement.
